Any Widening Of The Eyes Will Result In Detention
Lifted from the comments, a reminder of Teacher Appreciation Week:
This clearly female teacher has a deep voice, do you think it’s from smoking? pic.twitter.com/CGoFhMXy1C

To which Chow Bag replies,
A not unreasonable question, all things considered.
Regarding Mr Look-At-My-Fabulous-Hair-Extensions, I suppose the obvious issue is the self-absorption of our strapping madam, such that he records and then publicly shares classroom videos of himself faffing about with his wig while expecting applause for his feats of fake-hair management. It does rather speak to his priorities and focus. And that’s before we get to the oddly ample fake bosom.
The other issue, I’d say, is the fact that schools have surrendered to cross-dressing men with a rapidity and full-throatedness that is quite remarkable. The place where cross-dressing men should not be – in positions of intimacy with, and authority over, children – is where they seem to find the most gushing welcome and the most ludicrous indulgence. Such that children are coerced to mouth fabulist pronouns and to regurgitate obvious lies.
Despite much higher rates of sexual offending, including offences against children, and similarly high rates of serious mental illness, people who identify as trans appear to be favoured in school hiring. Their numbers, and social-media prominence, does seem noteworthy. Among successful candidates, there is a certain triumphalism. A confident strutting.
And we’ve seen several examples of even the most basic safeguarding measures being abandoned, and an eye-widening disdain for children who report inappropriate behaviour by men in bad wigs. Even when that behaviour would, if indulged in by any other demographic, almost certainly result in immediate dismissal.
As if the safety of children were of much less importance than being seen to affirm cross-dressing men.
Also from the comments:
Supposedly, it’s about making the children feel “comfortable.” Though it occurs to me that the flag’s connotations of coerced pretending, fetishistic mutilation and life-shortening hormone abuse – and generally being subordinate to a cross-dressing man with mental health issues – may have other effects. Say, by transforming a classroom from a place of learning into one of cowed pretension, of deference to the untrue.
And then there’s the not insignificant matter of introducing an element of transvestite farce into the classroom, which may result in children being distracted from the task at hand by the perhaps more immediate question of what the strange man in the wig and padded push-up bra sees when he looks in a mirror.
Readers may also wish to ponder whether children should be imposed upon in this way and should be obliged to pretend, to be dishonest, on a daily basis. Which is to say, pretending not to see the pantomime, and being obliged to participate in the teacher’s psychodrama, for the teacher’s gratification. While any children who demur, who acknowledge the obvious, even politely, run a risk of being disciplined and publicly denounced.
It seems to me this is, at the very least, rude. Some might say abusive.
But hey, this is where we are now. Let the progress wash over you.
Expanded via the comments.
Sure it is.
Cf. On waffle-stomping […]
A few of those things–that–never–happen.
Needless to say, I do have more.
It sure as hell isn’t progress. I’ve heard people say that the left and so called “progressives” are the gas and conservatives are the brakes. It’s such a backwards and obviously flawed analogy. But if you consider it from the perspective of “principles” it makes sense. So called progressives don’t have them. Or they are willing to toss them out the window as soon as they become inconvenient. Conservatives understand that principles don’t change. Ever.
I’d rather not, thanks, if it’s all the same to you.
David, what the hell?
Surprised we’re not at the ‘and it’s a good thing’ phase.
In case it needs saying, I’m sure there are self-styled transgender people who find the behaviour linked above – the assaults, intrusions and so forth – repellent and horrifying. But to pretend that there is no pattern to discern, no heightened statistical risk, and especially no risk to children, is, it seems to me, to indulge in outright fantasy.
It is rather obvious actually: if a cross-dressing fabulist worked at let’s say an auto shop, under cars, there would be no one to applaud she/his/its bravery and fashion sense. Same with a truck driver or data entry person.
A fabulous fabulist, dahling.
[ Everyone glances again at the subject of the post. ] In unison: “NOT fabulous!”
Deleted.
So, another false rumor. Or unsubstantiated claims about the as-yet-unnamed second suspect.
I believe that … it’s the ‘feel comfortable’ with what that is the real question.
Guess the ethnicity.
Not necessarily. Tweets and other communications that might cause offence are heavily policed these days. Just ask Lucy Connolly.
In which crime?
Oh. Sorry. Keir Starmer arson attacks. The disappeared post made sensational claims about one of the suspects.
Second suspect as in this one?
It has been said the first suspect – Roman Lavrynovych – is a rent boy suspiciously familiar with Starmer’s properties.
That was the allegation in the lost link.
The link was asking why big news orgs are not asking how a rent boy came to know so much about locations of Starmer’s homes.
I’ll let you think about that one.
That took me 0.005 seconds.
1 – No, they’re not the same men
2 – Cluster B, as usual

Private schooling / home schooling is making more sense every day.
I’m not sure how immune the private sector is, but the public sector does seem to be a preferred nest for the psychologically marginal.
My earliest comment here on this subject, fifteen years or so ago, was about on whom the dissonance of transgenderism should be imposed. I.e., whether the trans-identified person should be mindful of what it is they’re asking (or demanding) of others. In this case, of children, including primary school children.
It seems to me enormously presumptuous, and selfish, to coerce other people’s children into what amounts to a personal affirmation exercise. To expect them to participate in one’s own unhappy mental drama, while knowing that any demurral may be punished. And while knowing that the parents of those children may not approve, and may be left to deal with whatever confusion ensues. Any number of inapt or premature questions.
Has South Park weighed in? They did a episode years ago about how gay men wanting to be scout masters and take young boys camping was nothing to worry about.
Note how the Cluster B addresses his adversary as “my love”.
The sun people vs. ice people hoax. …or should I say hallucination?
I’m not sure how immune the private sector is…
Not much, probably
Anecdotally, I was forced to go to a (non-Catholic) private school where despite my best efforts got a reasonably good classical education which included things like Latin, Greek (optional, one other language mandatory), calculus, ancient, world, and US history, sciences, etc. etc.
Somewhere along the line they went co-ed and the fund raising garbage began to feature the woke horsecrap spectrum. I suspect the problem might be the majority of parents who can afford to send their misbegotten sprogs to a private school are now leftoids themselves and lap this stuff up.
…or should I say hallucination
Indeed, who among us hasn’t forgotten all the worldwide African relief efforts after earthquakes, volcanoes, wildfires, tsunamis, and not the least Chernobyl and Fukushima?
Hallucination is not the word you are looking for.
Even just locally, all the mobs of blacks rushing to help after a tornado or power outage (by looting stores, engaging in recreational violence, etc.)
It is rather obvious actually: if a cross-dressing fabulist worked at let’s say an auto shop, under cars, there would be no one to applaud she/his/its bravery and fashion sense. Same with a truck driver or data entry person.
Transgender data entry person here. I keep myself to myself. Always have. But then I’m not a radical, an activist, or otherwise left-wing in any way, shape or form.
I don’t feel any kinship with the weirdos and perverts such as the educator featured in the post. Why would I? I’m an individual, with my own politics, principles and worldview. And none of those include being weird around children.
Does every middle-aged, hetero, white bloke have everything in common with every other such bloke? Of course not. So, it follows… the same applies to trans people.
What we have here is a wrong un.
The thing with wrong uns is, they’re wrong uns first and foremost. They would be wrong uns whether or not trans existed or not. ‘Trans’ just provides an easy ‘in’ for them. Hence the disproportionate figures for sexual crimes and other perverse beheviours in the cohort.
My point is that the cohort really shouldn’t include such people. They’re not sheep; they’re wolves in sheep’s clothing.
It’s wholly analogous to the way in which the Left more generally uses causes (one minute it’s black people, the next it’s Gaza) as fig leafs and as weapons. They don’t give a fuck about the purported cause, as we all know.
And, as David rightly points out, something has gone very wrong in many structures and institutions in the West, to allow – and celebrate! – wrong uns such access to children.
It’s partly driven by the mindless, Maoist, virtue-signalling tendency so common to ‘right-thinking’ people in positions of authority, e.g. Brenda the school administrator. But I also think it’s a mutation of our so-called society’s obsession with credentialism and rejection of discrimination/individual discretion. “You have a Trans Badge? Come on in!”
Third World sanitation standards. Eat, pray, love, get six different diseases.
A county health inspector told me many stories about how her greatest difficulties with food safety code violations were with third world immigrants who did not understand or respect those safety codes at all.
That.
Well, the handful of trans people I’ve had some interaction with have tended to understand the dissonance thing mentioned in my previous comment. They’ve generally been wary of imposing that dissonance, that mismatch, on others, and especially on children. So far as I could tell, they seemed quite aware of their anomalousness. And I’m guessing they didn’t choose lines of work that would foreground their… er, transness.
As Dingo Worrier puts it, it was more of a low-key attitude, insofar as such is possible, rather than a demand for affirmation and pretence. They weren’t activists. And they weren’t actively trying to wig out the normies, or their children, or to put them on the spot.
Schools care about children as a glutton cares about lunch.
Generosity with other people’s money isn’t a virtue.
It’s almost as if there’s a subtle difference between
“It’s just how I am.”
and
“I insist you refer to me as a woman even when I am not present!” as they are strangling you.
Quite a few threads erupted about how well black people tip at restaurants, and the answer is “extremely poorly.” Even black waiters didn’t want to serve them, because they’d try to cop free stuff from their “brotha/sista.”
Plus they’re apparently demanding and not averse to eating half of something, then sending it back, saying “this don’t taste right,” so they can get a free substitute.
When I waited tables, it was in a national park lodge, and as we know, black people don’t visit national parks. So I have no personal experience with such patrons.
As I’ve said before, my own view, broadly speaking, is that if someone wants to live as if they were a member of the opposite sex, then, er, okay, bit weird, but it’s not something that I would spend my evenings raging against. The fact that sexually dysmorphic people exist doesn’t make me pace up and down furiously while muttering and chain-smoking.
Life has no shortage of peculiarities.
The issue, as I see it, is when others are coerced, whether by emotional and psychological bullying or by force of law, to participate in a pretence, to affirm the untrue. And in practical terms, this condition means that cross-dressing men, say, should have the decency not to violate women’s bathrooms, changing rooms, etc., and that they should stay away from children. Not use them for coerced affirmation.
This came to mind.
[ Rummages in bin liner, rolls single, fatigued-looking grape to Muldoon. ]
On the house.
Meanwhile, stolen from Ace, a saboteur and wrecker is seen…
The analogy that comes to mind is of a very fat teacher asking the class at regular intervals – say, every five minutes – “I’m not fat at all, am I?” And clearly expecting an untrue answer every single time.
Indeed.
It’s the more recent demands for “affirmation” which have been a problem. Mandatory pronouns, invasion of female spaces, demands that everyone not merely tolerate but publicly applaud them. And most of the recent sources of annoyance have been liberal acquaintances who are not themselves trans.
Also “dine and dash”: The only instances I witnessed when working in fast food during high school were perpetrated by black kids.
