You can’t expect to appease someone whose identity, credibility and in-group status are premised on being outraged and resentful, and whose need to scold, and to be seen scolding, inclines them to find ever more slim and implausible excuses for indignation, and sometimes outright lies. As someone who’s had quite a few exchanges with such people, very often a certain psychological type, I can vouch for this personally. For some, nothing short of deference will do.

Well, it did get a bit… wriggly. There seemed to be an awful lot of indignation piled precariously on the tiniest justification. Like a well-fed heifer trying to balance on a golf ball. Er… What capitalism? We have a sort of quasi capitalism with massive taxation of comparative advantage (i.e. wages, not land titles, patents and copyrights as Adam Smith would tax) that is allowed to exist to fund the marxists and thus ensures a rich establishment.
