Playtime Is Never Over
Speaking of schooling, and lifted from the comments:
A message, indeed. I’m assuming the campy paper fan is a fundamental aspect of his “full authentic self.”
Evidently, our fearless educator has determined that any gay kids in his class – or rather, kids who may turn out to be gay on hitting puberty – need aspirational role-models. Like a grown man with painted nails, wearing tinselled Deeley Boppers, and flapping a paper fan. Because hey, what else could they possibly aspire to?
See also this:
You see, authenticity requires fancy dress and elaborate accessorising. And it’s just “so important” to parade around the classroom, looking “cute,” in painted nails and make-up.
What’s that you say? A one-off, an aberration? Oh, you sweet innocent thing.
I really have to wonder what constitutes ‘good behaviour’.
We have entered month one of “Pride Season.” Please update your files and lifestyles accordingly.
I’m not generally a fan of vandalism, even mild vandalism – i.e., tearing down posters – but the broader dynamic is… interesting.
One might, for instance, marvel at the idea that the way to make pupils “feel safe” is to tell them they all ought to be wearing “rainbow-coloured shirts” and are expected to visibly participate in some weird collective theatre with unsavoury moral and political connotations. And to then invoke bigotry and a need for punishment, and some kind of mental realignment, when some of those pupils say that, actually, they’d rather not be annexed in this way.
And note the standard, sly conflation – that an objection to compelled groupthink and coerced deference to a highly contestable political ideology is somehow indistinguishable from “homophobia” and a “hatred” of gay people. (In much the same way that a dislike of BLM, an obnoxious and disreputable political entity, would doubtless be construed by the same educators as damning evidence of seething racism.)
And so, the school announces that it believes in “individual dignity,” while trying quite hard to suppress it.
Upon observing the ongoing doubling down of Pride BS in the face of (finally) some limited pushback, I was considering making a sarcastic comment here about a “Pride Year”. I thought it might come across as a bit over the top so I didn’t quite have the proper context/wording in my head. So I came here to read the latest comments first. Yes, “Pride Year” would have come across as rather silly when one is competing against professional farcists like Justin Trudeau and company.
I particularly liked this Twat thread response:
“It seems straight people are obsessed with Pride season.“
Is there a bag limit?
Have you seen the compilations of lawyer jokes and economist jokes which include hunting rules? I’m sure a version for leftists and amoral SPLC grifters could be easily made.
Putting the “ass” back into “class”
