Your Children Will Tell Me How Pretty I Am
Further to recent rumblings in the comments:

Oh, and let’s not forget the educational importance of those TikTok leggings.

Needless to say, one of many.
Update, via the comments, where Joan adds,
“Shirt –‘we are activists’ – is from my school…”
Indeed. Note too that Mr Man-Leggings has apparently been showing the children in his class his TikTok account and inviting them to read the comments, and to disapprove of any commenters who find his behaviour… suboptimal. Because elementary school children are now to be participants in their teachers’ cross-dressing psychodramas.
And on a side note – a fashion tip, if you will – I think it’s generally best that small children can’t easily determine the size and state of their teachers’ genitals. But maybe that’s just me.
Also, open thread.
“How do I look today?”
Like he’s off his meds.
When supposedly grown adults crave, and effectively demand, affirmation from small children, over whom they have leverage, this doesn’t generally bode well. I mean, if a bearded narcissist needs other people’s children to tell him that he looks like a princess, and fishes for that reply, presumably with some regularity, then this is… a little odd.
But hey, I guess he’s got to be the star of his own never-ending drama.
“Shirt -‘we are activists’ – is from my school…”
Someone, or some people, somewhere, are ignoring normality, and are directing that such troubled and tormented monsters ought to be found and introduced into little children’s schools.
The same minds have corrupted Anglosphere universities and colleges, in order that an ample and continuing supply of the monsters shall be constructed.
The war is probably lost by now.
And if the Second Amendment in the USA is overturned, it truly will be.

Slag on these poor teachers for the way they dress all you want, you can’t argue with the outstanding results they get.
To follow on to my previous comment, it is not surprising they get such fantastic results as teachers are superior to us.
Related, but not a teacher, must they always be like this?
In a history book in the future, when they relearn how to read and make books, the downfall of civilization will be linked to “social” media and the jackass who thought it was a good idea to put a crappy camera in phones.
you can’t argue with the outstanding results they get.
Presumably, all that self-preoccupation eats up a lot of class time.

Now I know what horror movie clowns are going to look like about 15 years from now.

It’s not just you.
I moved to a top school district when kids little and pay big property taxes for it. It is the kind of place where parents make the kids do homework and the library by the high school is open till 9 at night and full of kids working. Under the No Child Left Behind regime, schools got graded on “improvement” and since 97% of kids were at or above grade level expectations, it was not possible to show improvement so the school got dinged by the state ed dept. Idiots. Teachers had to go through contortions to show they were doing better.
If had not-trans or lez teacher was showing his students his tik-tok with tales of his sexual exploits, people would freak (and rightly so). Why do schools allow this? Because it is part of the reign of terror we are in where you may not object to the woke.
“When I was totally delusional…” Worth your 12 minutes, detrans men speak out.
Farnsworth, you’re right, it’s worth the 12 minutes and I’m typing this through tears. That’s probably enough for me to get my gender reassigned by the butchers in California and other bastions of dark “enlightenment.” Doesn’t it seem as though the trans movement is literally trying to erase gays at this point?
On a lighter note, pride, or stages of putrification of sausage, you make the call, and you have to wonder what the normal models think of this.

You would be right – worth 20 minutes of your time, Matt Walsh revisits his interview with a pediatrician who specializes in “gender affirmation. The woman, who can’t define woman, has got to be seen – “can chickens cry, can chickens commit suicide”?.

Again, wokeness and woo. Strange just how often those mindsets sit together.
On a lighter note…you have to wonder what the normal models think of this.
I see what you did there.
Again, wokeness and woo.
That, but not just that, it is the total mindset, as demonstrated by this several degrees off level bozo, that she and her ilk are better and smarter than we Morlocks and insufferably smug in their self righteousness, even though they cannot argue a single point they push.
that she and her ilk are better and smarter than we Morlocks and insufferably smug in their self righteousness,
As Mr Walsh points out, it’s the mix of assumed superiority and a hypersensitivity to even basic questions, politely asked, for which they seem utterly unprepared. Something close to an allergic reaction. A recurring theme in the film, I’m told.

Yes, like Professor Valleygirl here who finds the word “truth” to be transphobic, because of course it is and he knows this because he is a social “scientist”.

I occasionally try to push the term “Activania” to describe academia’s embrace of activism over research and logic, a recent trend that dates back to before I was born.
Something close to an allergic reaction.
It’s the fight or flight response. They’re trapped and they know that they’re completely defenseless. They’ve abandoned reality, so reality isn’t going to come to their rescue. I think every single person he interviewed in that film threatened to walk out after very mild questioning and long before he asked them what a woman is. Also, that whole, ‘you’re using forbidden terms’ schtick is getting so old that it’s tripping over its own beard.

I have a special place in my
heartspleen for those “highly principled” sixties people who demanded that universities be “relevant”.OT, today is 6 June, a date which some will recall has an historical significance, so today’s google doodle celebrates the inventor of the espresso machine. Maybe it ties in with being two days after the capture of Rome in 1944, I am probably not woke enough to get it.

One of my fantasies is to transport those “woke” Google idiots to an alternate universe in which the D-Day invasion failed and Stalin’s armies went all the way to the English Channel.
…and Stalin’s armies went all the way to the English Channel.
The google idiots would have liked that, though, and even better if they went all the way to Bakersfield.

In the meantime, commenters at Instapundit are saying that D-Day and the defeat of the Nazis didn’t matter because we face threats today. I’m not sure how many of them are Russian and Chinese trolls vs. American keyboard junkies with borderline personality disorder.
West Point Graduates Issue ‘Declaration Of Betrayal’ For Academy Leadership: “We, the members of the Long Gray Line, have observed a rejection of adherence to the ancient principles of the Military Academy…[abandonment of the] Honor Code…political indoctrination…CRT…The Biden Administration seeks to divorce military service from defense of the Constitution by replacing allegiance to the Constitution with Critical Race Theory…”

I distinctly heard tittering.
Off topic: Flair policing has hit Major League Baseball. It sounds like some players forgot for a few minutes that they Will be Made to Care. Modern America’s religion is now Gay — this must be what it’s like living in Saudi Arabia. Insert the obligatory Sam Hyde “state sponsored homosexuality” joke here.

Well, even so there are parts of New York best avoided…

1) Predators go where they can find prey
2) Education programs (and almost every teacher has to have a degree in one) are among the most progressive at universities — because if they just educate harder/better/faster then they can erase problems in genetics/environment/culture
3) Students in Education are, on average, among the duller knives in the drawer
Activist academics: the reason is that no one cares that you know all about lichens or 15th century textile manufacture or geometry or anything they pay you to do but if you become woke you can save the world! People will care! You will get to go to all the cool parties!
You will get to go to all the cool parties!
Only because truly tolerant normies are too afraid to tell them to STFU.
I feel like WTP most of the time. These woketards have no problem spouting off their ridiculous beliefs, thinking everyone agrees them because they go unchallenged. When, in fact, people are afraid to say anything because the woketards treat ideology as a blood sport. People need to start chasing these people down like that video of the parent holding the drag queen leaving a children’s event accountable. The cannot be allowed to feel comfortable when they get aggressive.

This is a good indicator for someone who shouldn’t be an academic in the first place. You become an academic precisely because you’re passionate to know everything about late-Medieval textile manufacture or some arcane corner of hyperbolic geometry, and to discover new things about them, without much care what people outside the field think.
The google idiots would have liked that, though, and even better if they went all the way to Bakersfield.
The assumption behind my wish is that, once they found themselves in a Stalinist dystopia, their lives would be very “interesting” and very short. And fully deserved.
Flair policing.

Indeed! But I hear that in some fields–like English literature–there is very little left to learn; the field is pretty well mined out and almost the only way to do anything new (no matter how trivial and pointless) is to do something ideological.
But in support of your point there seem to be a lot of people going into academia precisely because they want to politicize the scholarship and indoctrinate the students, and without those pursuits their academic lives would be dreary and depressing.
3) Students in Education are, on average, among the duller knives in the drawer

Brampton Loblaws. Brampton is overwhelmingly Muslim Pakistani and Hindu Indian. I wonder what they think about all this.
Worth your 12 minutes
Probably, but I punched out at the “huge increase in the number of kids identifying as trans and how it’s most likely rooted in internalized misogyny and homophobia”. So close, and yet so far.

This is why I never pursued my formal studies of history past an undergraduate minor; even 25 years ago it was clear that there simply wasn’t any money for expanding the body of material available and all of the sexy work had been done, so the field was mostly bitter academics squabbling over irrelevancies and making shit up.
This is why I never pursued my formal studies of history past an undergraduate minor…
I wonder what might be effective solutions to the problem. In part it would have to prioritize teaching over research and hire mostly people who enjoy teaching. But people get bored with teaching the same things for decades, so that would also need to be addressed.

Possibly, but just as equally likely they’d be queuing up for NKVD jobs, Gulag guards, and miscellaneous party apparatchik positions.
Probably, but I punched out at the “huge increase in the number of kids identifying as trans and how it’s most likely rooted in internalized misogyny and homophobia”.
You missed her point that it isn’t the cause. FWIW, Ms. Scarcella is a conservative lesbian. Go back and spend your 12 minutes.

For the most part, people should not be teaching until they’ve been out in the real world and actually worked for a living. Exceptions being things like archaeology or linguistics or ancient history where the knowledge is important but there is little practical demand. I would apply this down to the high school level and even a bit lower as well. Teaching should be something readily available to those who are at the edge of retirement or similar.

One can make a good argument for “no exceptions”. Let them get a taste of life outside academia.

Duly noted. I note that 33% of the people in that video acknowledged their childhood sexual abuse. But, you know, I’m sure that had they never encountered gender ideology they’d have grown up to be “happy, healthy gay men”.
Once you start acknowledging that sexual dysmorphia is a dysfunctional coping mechanism and not an innate biological characteristic, you’re opening a door you can’t shut again.
Pizza Hut,
Can we expect the excellent Johnny the Walrus to be their next offering? Somehow I doubt it.
