For newcomers, some items from the archives. Further to this recent item, readers may detect a theme of sorts.
Don’t Oppress My People With The Way You Walk.
Whitey’s hegemonic walking must be disrupted. Along with everything else.
However, perhaps a few atoms of sympathy are in order. It occurs to me that if your immediate environment is one in which race-based claims aren’t subject to challenge or scepticism, even when sweeping and rather dubious, it must be quite unnerving to encounter these things for the first time.
Don’t Oppress My People With Your Public Libraries.
Librarian Sofia Leung rails against the White Devil and his books.
Readers may also wish to ponder the implications of a librarian and self-styled educator, schooled at the University of Washington and Barnard College, New York, and who is offended – something close to enraged – by the existence of “white ideas” and the “so-called ‘knowledge’” of “white dudes.”
Don’t Oppress My People With Your Acceptance And Compliments.
The Guardian’s Natalie Morris juggles humblebragging with contrived downtroddenness.
Ms Morris tells us that in her youth not being white and not looking like the women seen most often in media and advertising made her feel “insecure.” And yet now, when women who resemble her, racially, are all but ubiquitous in media and advertising – way out of proportion to actual demographics, and even added anachronistically to historical dramas – this is also a cause of unhappiness and resentment, and an excuse for convoluted theories of racial victimhood.
Don’t Oppress My People With Your Big Hooped Earrings.
Not just earrings, mind. Lip-liner, too.
But it is a strange thing, this combination of assumed superiority and infantile emoting. Remember, Ms Martinez and Ms Aguilera emailed the entire campus, repeatedly and quite vehemently, with their views on hooped earrings and who should be allowed to wear them. It does, I think, take a particular chutzpah to publicly claim to be oppressed – by other people’s earrings – while spending more than the median household income at a glorified holiday resort.
Don’t Oppress My People With Your Norms Of Punctuality.
Being expected to arrive for work on time is “systemic white supremacy.”
A “polychronic” culture, since you ask, is one in which chatting and distractions are both commonplace and encouraged, and in which “issues such as promptness” – and reliability and productivity – are not prioritised. As favoured in, say, sub-Saharan Africa, that engine of civilisational blossoming and human betterment.
Oh, and we mustn’t forget this one:
Don’t Oppress My People With Your White Devil Science.
On the hurling of lightning. And the smearing of human faeces.
Other allegedly oppressive phenomena, including departmental acronyms and branded headphones, can be found in the archives.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and bicker.
I figured it has enough Shake That Thing to provoke David into reaching for the fire extinguisher.
Nobody listens to the lyrics anymore.
Wait. Sloopy is a girl?
I saw the video. I’m pretty sure Sloopy is a girl. As the man said, “it must be jelly, ’cause jam don’t shake like that.”
Though today…who knows.
Hat tip to lead singer/guitar player in that video Rick Derringer who went on to write and perform a Pop/Rock classic, Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo.
Iowahawk introduces us to
Harry Potterone of the Stonehenge idiots. His description is spot on…You mustn’t call them that. They’re totally awesome people who’ve been “justice impacted.” You see, the justice, the prison sentence, just impacted them, like a car accident or some random bolt of lightning. As if it could happen to anyone. As if it were merely bad luck.
Having failed to master a basic, quite important life skill, they have somehow, rather conveniently, evolved beyond such things.
Hence the tears and anxiety, of course.
I think Mr Kaufman’s outpouring – on those supposedly racist pedestrian crossing lights – is quite instructive, albeit in ways he doesn’t seem to comprehend. He is, we’re told, bombarded with such “everyday racism” – again, traffic lights – and hence, one assumes, his rather captious and precarious mental state. And so, he demands a “reckoning,” one that “begins with traffic signals.”
And this man, our New York Times contributor, the one who can detect racism in all manner of mundane things, somehow fails to see his own, rather more obvious racism, or the sheer weirdness of his own pronouncements. And he is clearly resistant to the idea that his own relentless and rather determined misconstrual – his own perversity – is the thing that torments him and makes him unhappy.
He’s probably a Cluster B piece of work, as usual, but he’s also just following incentives. They pay him to suss out racism, they pay him to stir up hate-clicks with audacious statements, they pay him to problematize ordinary things.
All of us thrive on outrage — he’s merely supplying material to meet the demand.
Yes. His role, his function, is to be disaffected. Forever.
[ Schedules tomorrow’s Ephemera, laughs at rather niche, bawdy joke. ]
One more time: He and the editors at the New York Times are not fellow Americans.
Whenever you read about a racially motivated murder of a white or asian person, remember that Kaufman and the New York Times bear some responsibility for cultivating such hate.
Well, no. Some of us enjoy it. I was, at one time, perfectly happy to spend my days immersed in the innocent joys of my profession and hobbies. But then I found out what leftists were up to.
People like Kaufman are not just meeting a demand, they are creating it. Stirring it up, if you will. Think of them as serpents who wish to turn every Eden into Hell.
And we are supposed to thrill at prospect of allowing vicious felons into our homes.
Their victims were the ones who were impacted.
Or my father. Who would say, “I told you so.”
Sometimes their victims impact them so severely that they are never again a problem.

Demanding equality while at the same time demanding different, separate treatment (however necessary) gives the argument to the alphabet brigades.
[ Prepares meatballs, grates cheese. ]
The same thing happened with the CHIPS portion of that trillion dollar boondoggle. Premise – get chip building back on American soil. Fine. The catch – same thing – hire union, DIE, criminals, preferred Pantone shades only. And climate mandate crap on top of it. The firms trying to set up chip building in the US gave up – there was no one skilled enough to do the skilled labor, and they weren’t allowed to bring in trained personnel from the home office, and so most gave up. It would cost too much to trained unskilled, undependable, untrustworthy people and produce the quality of chips needed.
The Didn’t Earn It crowd is going to find out that there are some things you actually need merit for and you can’t just wedge in useless and/or malicious people and expect this to magically produce quality products. Actually they may never find out unless they themselves get impacted.
And by then the damage is likely irreparable.
Think of the Third World countries where nothing gets done without first bribing the government officials. What we have in America are just different varieties of the same sorts of payoffs. And I think the percentages diverted rival those in Africa and elsewhere. Only the strength of our economy and culture have insulated us till now, but not for much longer.
I’m having trouble reconciling those two comments.
Note that I have never, never been anything but a paragon of dignity and probity.
I’m complicated. I have facets.

King Canute?
The other’s got bells on.
Gender-affirming story.
Brings a tear to the eye.
Not quite.
Inclusivity, baby.
“You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.”
Gender-affirming story.
Well that was uplifting. Probably literally.
Disney and DIE: my friend from Iran was pouring his heart out to me. He is in software (don’t remember specifics). At age 32 he is being passed up for promotion over and over in favor of POC and women. Apparently Iranians are not POC. He is tall and somewhat dark and handsome. I suggested he wear white shirts and get more tan to emphasize his skin tone. I was joking sort of but what else could I say?
My friend worked at a small manufacturing facility. They had 2 DIE hires who spent all their time hiding in the stockroom and flirting with each other. When they moved them to sit next to the boss, they both just vanished–didn’t even have the dignity to quit.
King Canute?
The other side says equity=excellence to the point where “academic excellence” is becoming a recognizable euphemism like “teen’ or “in the wrong place at the wrong time”, and he feels the need to reinforce that theme by saying excellence=equity. It’s doubtful he believes it himself, it’s disprovable by looking at teams/peoples who’ve achieved anything worthwhile, he’s fooling nobody by imagining that he can pass off his concept of “diversity” (division of labor with the right man for every job, access to mentors and consultants, just the right amount of pushback/loyal opposition/devil’s advocacy) as their concept of “diversity” (representative racial carveup, with our lot trying to take a bit more off the top).
I was joking sort of but what else could I say?
Regardless of his persuasion, he should bring in a prayer rug and other appropriate trappings. If the DIE crowd can play the game, he can too.
Great googly moogly – this utter rubbish was actually in a show.
this utter rubbish was actually in a show.
I saw that earlier. I thought it was satire.
Gender-affirming story.
I’m not buying it. Implants – sure. But estrogen alone, from nothing? Unless he had some massive moobs to start with.
Why are these shouty AGP types always LARPing clown versions of women?
Why are these shouty AGP types always LARPing clown versions of women?
Because, fundamentally, they hate women. Mostly because they get all the cute, straight guys.
he’s also just following incentives
A local radio station swtiched formats three times within a few years, resulting in the exact same morning crew smoothly segueing from gonzo two-fisted-drinking hard rock groupies to mellow avuncular easy listening hosts to shitkicker-wearing country DJs. If they take the King’s Shilling…
Demanding equality while at the same time demanding different, separate treatment (however necessary) gives the argument to the alphabet brigades
I’ll make the ladies a deal – you can have your sports back when we can have our private clubs, gyms, and golf foursomes back. Fair?
And by then the damage is likely irreparable.
Bezmenov tried to warn us.
It’s doubtful he believes it himself, it’s disprovable by looking at teams/peoples who’ve achieved anything worthwhile
You’re missing the point. He’s playing the “Islam is right about women” card. Agreeing with his statement requires rejecting all of the DEI set-asides. Disagreeing with his statement implicitly rejects the statement “No group has a monopoly on excellence” which is a tacit admission that some groups are better than others. It’s a clever rhetorical trap. I think his mistake is thinking this is still 2005; the progs have been dismantling the “merit is color-blind” defense for more than a decade.
A few months later, Quinn went to their first kink party without me, where people who weren’t me might spank them, tie them up, or touch their soft skin
It is always, always, always about childho- aw, you know what? **** it. We’re already past the Bezmenov Horizon. It doesn’t matter. There are too many of these people and no one left to ensure the next generation doesn’t suffer the same fate.
