Valid And Proud, You Hear
And in other this-never-happens news:
He just wants to molest little girls, you see, while pretending to be a woman.
Mr Katie Cruz, quoted above, is, he says, a role model for “trans kids,” and has been “working behind the scenes” to “reduce stigma.” That would be the stigma of being bent on child molestation – specifically, molesting girls between the ages of 9 and 13. Just so we’re clear.
It’s a “trans age” thing, apparently. Which seems to mean that our grown man, a man who pretends to be a woman, also likes to imagine himself as a teenager, aged between “13 and 17ish.” So there’s nothing to worry about, you “far-right” bigots. It’s all totally legit and above-board.
Mr Cruz, also known as Cali Miller, goes on to denounce the “harmful rhetoric comparing the LGBTQ community to paedophiles” – and he does this while using the fig leaf of “queer” activism to advance his own predatory, paedophilic ambitions, and the predatory ambitions of others like him. Which, if not exactly coherent, is certainly bold.
“While I’m empathetic toward children and want the best for them,” says Mr Cruz, “I also hold the view that no one should tell others what they can and can’t do with their own bodies.” Or, it seems, the bodies of others. Say, sweet little Sally two doors down.
And so, those of you not yet fully enthused by the prospect of Mr Cruz’s liberation and empowerment will have to “move toward a more progressive and empathetic worldview.” While Mr Cruz himself, despite his claims of empathy, remains utterly selfish regarding the children whose lives would be monstrously degraded by the imposition of his desires. Given the chance.
And because things aren’t quite twisted enough, the paedophilic groups of which Mr Cruz is a member, and whose goals include “reform” of the sex-offender registry and to “achieve protected class status,” frequently deploy the term “social justice.” And how dare you far-right bigots deny such noble beings their child-molestation rights.
Update, via the comments:
Readers will doubtless have registered just how easily the rhetoric of victimhood and “social justice” is appropriated. A phenomenon we’ve noted here many times. As when we were told, in the pages of the Independent, that when paedophiles claim to remain celibate but still search out employment that puts them in regular and intimate contact with children, their potential prey, this is somehow a “social good” and a basis for congratulation. Because every parent wants their child to have a teacher who harbours fantasies of molesting them.
Regarding Mr Cruz, Nikw211 notes this passage from the original article:
“I read through their heartfelt messages about how much they love and care about little girls. What they were writing was exactly how I felt. And what they preached never changed. They all truly love little girls, just as I do,” Cruz said.
Adding, not unreasonably,
Well, quite. One more time:
That’s the kind of loving and caring that just happens to be abusive and generally traumatising, and which can have serious lifelong consequences for the victim. If another real-world illustration is required, see also this. Though I should point out that it’s not for the faint-hearted.
At which point, I’m going to quote this, on the unconvincing contortions of Dr Ole Martin Moen, and which I recommend reading in full:
This is despite acknowledging that such experiences leave a majority of victims with “psychological disorders… increased likelihood of drug dependence, alcohol dependence, major depression,” etc. And despite the fact that these consequences are very widely understood, at least in simple terms. And despite the fact that many paedophiles have been subjected to similar abuse themselves and therefore know first-hand the likely consequences.
Hence the stigma, of course. The stigma that Dr Moen and Mr Cruz find so terribly problematic.

Evil in a woke skin suit.
And once again, I’m just going to leave this here. For no reason whatsoever.
I think I have had enough of tolerance now and would prefer to see more gibbets and bonfires.
It’s worth noting just how easily the rhetoric of victimhood and “social justice” is appropriated.

Fuck this shit.
Pass me that shot gun and the box of shells from behind the counter.

Three words:
Free helicopter rides.
“ It’s up to us to use science…”
Well, that’ll be nice, if it actually happens. And I’m not sure it will, since true ‘science’ is as much an enemy of these activists as J K Rowling.
Woodchipper.
Dull, underpowered, woodchipper.
I assume “science” means proving that such predators are just “born that way” and because they are “born that way” they cannot change, while the cult of radical tolerance means they must be tolerated and accommodated.
But such an argument only works on the gullible. Sensible people will use such arguments to demand lifetime incarceration.
[ Post updated. ]
Of course “science” means whatever the leftists need it to mean in order to advance their goals. And if a bunch of leftists (or people duped/co-opted by leftists) believe (or claim to believe) something, then this overrides what used to be accepted as “science”.
It reminded me of the old South Park episode, in which Cartman inadvertently becomes a ‘poster boy’ for NAMBLA. (Not to be confused with the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes.) After much dark farce, the paedophiles gather in the town and, to tearjerking music, profess their victimhood as an oppressed minority.
To which, the boys reply, “You know, we believe in equality for everybody and tolerance and all that gay stuff, but, dude, fuck you. Seriously.”
I assume “science” means proving that such predators are just “born that way” and because they are “born that way” they cannot change
It is always, always, always about childhood sexual abuse. The intentional dissolution of the traditional family by Bezmenovites has removed the single most effective defense against childhood sexual trauma: the children’s biological father.
I find it equally vile that many wokies claim that it is not proper to shame pedos (or anyone I guess, even murderers) lest their self-esteem suffer.
Which is an argument for immediate and permanent sequestration from society.
Disagree with the woke and see how quick they are to shame, abuse, attack.
The word ‘modern’ being employed to describe an event in the 13th Century seems . . . inapposite:
Especially in the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Would it be wrong to wish death to pedophiles? Asking for a friend.
Let me just jump in with an addendum to a comment by WTP on an earlier post:
Despite what the twit may imply, the human personification of Trump Derangement Syndrome depicted (accurately, as far as I can tell) in the clip is not in fact Maxine Waters’ daughter, but is an actress called Jenifer Lewis appearing on a podcast hosted by Zerlina Maxwell.
Please update your files accordingly.
Allow me to hastily add an addendum to my earlier addendum. An addendendum?
The twit to which I refer is the social media message previously known as a tweet. Not WP. Nor WTP. Who I am reliably informed is a sensible chap. When sober.

Before you ask…
This small.
WTP – You’re up!
[ Backs away slowly ]
My assumption was you were referring to the author of the tweet/twit/chirp/whatever, @joma_gc.
The notion that Trump appears ‘based’ because of some racist nutter’s verbigeration seems far-fetched.
[ Checks all links in tomorrow’s Ephemera are still alive and well. ]
[ Considers pleasant, early evening drive in nearby countryside. ]
Disagree. The Trump Derangement Nutjobs certainly do make the man himself appear comparatively sane. If not actually ‘based’.
Have fun! Watch out for rogue Eid celebrants.
Yes, my bad. I noticed that when I saw another post elsewhere about it this morning. There was a bug in the back of my head thinking MW’s daughter ought to be a tad uglier than that..but I wrote it off to my inherent white supremacy. Or something.
Hey! The sun’s above the yardarm. Or so I assume. Been raining here since yesterday.
Something dark if you will, barkeep. Tennessee whiskey, pint o’ Guinness, quart of motor oil. Whatever you’ve got. I’m not (too) picky.
Are you thinking of yesterday’s shooting in Philadelphia? I am waiting for the arrested
shooterssuspects to be officially identified, in full expectation that once again they will not be white supremacist Amish bicycle riders.Good idea. [ Peers in larder. ] Cranberry wine? Oh, why not. [ Opens bottle. ] Not bad.
No. I was thinking of these “mostly peaceful” riots.
Who can find fault with the Religion of Peace™?

I was thinking about where did all the mental toughness go in our modern world? Toughness used to be not merely a virtue but pretty standard equipment on most people, especially men. Like my black neighbor who recently retired. He was a pharma rep and would laugh about the most racist doctors (basicly the only ones) being Pakistani. He didn’t whine about it or cry, he joked.
Or my dad who grew up in the depression and worked his way through college (and I mean actually paid for it all himself).
Or my friends who are 80–I know they must have medical issues, but they won’t say a word of complaint.
No. I was thinking of these “mostly peaceful” riots.
Along those lines, good news from Louisiana.
There’s a saying around that.
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”
Of course, it would be nice if lessons from history could be remembered.
I’m pretty sure there are already self-defence, er, defences against injuring angry violent mobs which are attacking you. The problem as always is the use of prosecutions as political weapons, which will not be reduced by passing more poorly thought out laws.
I think there should be a law against writing any statute which criminalises conduct already illegal.
I’d also dearly like to see only the lawmakers themselves subject to their idiotic new rules for a period of a year or so before they’re rolled out to the rest of the population. But then, all the new laws would suddenly be tax cuts.
I’ve long thought the best thing we could do is prevent any law from going into effect until after a legislative election. An exception at the national level for a declaration of war would be in order.
A known pootler! He admits it! He admits it!
[ Whispers. ]
What? Oh. Never mind.
will not be reduced by passing more poorly thought out laws
I couldn’t find a link to the actual legislation, but the tweet says suing, which implies to me that it’s there to forestall civil “wrongful death” lawsuits and similar shenanigans.
writing any statute which criminalises conduct already illegal
While I generally agree, I don’t think there’s anything untoward about passing laws that clarify whether a novel situation does or does not qualify under a more general statute. For example, castle doctrine and stand-your-ground laws clarify that failing to retreat in the face of mortal danger does not disqualify a legal argument of self-defense.
On this side of The Pond, pootling is not a paediatric pursuit if that’s what you were postulating?
Your paediatric pootle presumptions are preposterous.
Though there is a risk of slipping into a poodle. Which would be much too close to dogging for comfort. Comfort Dogging, of course, is much like regular dogging but you don’t leave the house – you just open the curtains.
Also, these complimentary beverages are excellent!
By the bye, has anyone seen my specimen bottle?
Today seems like a good day to stay off the sauce.
I might be up for a law that explains how you shouldn’t be able to sue someone for defamation because they’d said they didn’t rape you after you claimed publicly, and profitably, that they did. In the empty back room of a busy shop. Or in the lift. Sometime in the 80s. Or possibly the 90s.
Unless, you know, you’d proven that they did.

You Brits have the best words!
I have a strong urge to reread The Wind in the Willows now for some reason. I remember Ratty loved messing about in boats, but I forget how Grahame described what Mr. Toad did with motorcars. I do remember maniacal laughter and “poop, poop!”.
I’ve not heard the story since I was a wee lass and the Voice of America broadcast a serialized version of it (much like BBC 7 did with many books).
It puts the lotion on its skin…..

Regardless of where one stands on the issue of le Trump lui-meme, he’s served as incontestable proof that the US is now a post-legal society. It doesn’t matter what the law says, or precedent. He’s been proscribed.
The parallels between the US today and the final years of the Roman Empire would be fascinating if they weren’t so horrifying.
At minimum. Perhaps it’s time to bring back the lobotomy.
