Let Us Show Our Gratitude, They Cried Out In Unison
Yes, it’s time to remind patrons that this rickety barge, on whose seating your arses rest, is kept afloat by the kindness of strangers. If you’d like to help it remain buoyant a while longer, and remain ad-free, there are shiny buttons below the fold with which to monetise any love. Debit and credit cards are accepted. If one-click haste is called for, there’s a QR code in the sidebar, at which you point your phone, and my PayPal.Me page can be found here. As requested, I’ve added SubscribeStar and Ko-Fi accounts, via which love may also be monetised, whether as one-off donations or monthly subscriptions.
Additionally, any Amazon UK shopping done via this link, or for Amazon US via this link, or via the buttons in the sidebar, results in a small fee for your host at no extra cost to you. Feel free to buy things wildly and in bulk. Office supplies, toilet paper, a new washing machine. It’s all good.
For newcomers wishing to know more about what’s been going on here for the last sixteen years, in over 3,000 posts and close to 200,000 comments, the reheated series is a pretty good place to start – in particular, the end-of-year summaries, which convey the fullest flavour of what it is we do. A sort of blog concentrate. If you like what you find there… well, there’s lots more of that. Do take a moment to poke through the discussion threads too. The posts are intended as starting points, not full stops, and the comments are where much of the good stuff is waiting to be found. And do please join in.
As always, thanks for the support, the comments, and the company.
Oh yes. The buttons.
The question is did this develop ‘organically’ or was it instigated/helped along by some third parties.
Cue Mr Ream and Bezmenov reference.
Although sometimes you don’t actually need a spy in the enemy’s camp, you just have to make the enemy think there’s one,
It’s already gone.
Still there for me, may be some temporary glitch like I was having with the Portland State nonsense link above.
The link still works for me.
The actual incident occurred in 2019. Roosevelt Rappley, who tried to rob a Dayton Ohio Dollar General store. I remember reading about it.
And note that this is the second member of that family to die violently. I will boldly suggest that the world would be better off without that family. Every member of that family.
I see that I cannot reach anything on twitter. I keep pages open for Scott Adams, Tim Newman, and Elon Musk and one or two others. Refreshes all give me the Poodle. Which does mean I’m hitting Twitter. Odd. Like another tech glitch I had recently with streaming the tv through my sound bar. Hmmm..
I’ll just leave this here, I think.
“In the comments WTP steers us…”. Heh. Maybe they saw me coming…
Outraged at self defense: the conceit seems to be “just give them your money” but such thugs will often just shoot you dead for no reason during a robbery. It is victimhood run amok
Outraged at self defense:
Many such cases.
Poodle page??
…and now for something completely different, what of the carbon footprint?
Check your browser – I was able to see it with no problem.
This, perhaps?
OK, this is really weird… I can hit Twitter from my (windoze) laptop but attempts from any of my Apple devices, two iPhones and two iPads I get the Poodle. Even taking the phone off of wifi and using the cellular network, the Poodle. I see/recall where Elon has a fight with Apple going back to last year and was charging iOS users more for their blue checkmark but I don’t have a twit account. Never had, checkmark or not. Just trying to access via browsers. Odd.
Nah bro…this:
[ Sounds of Ephemera being compiled. ]
TRIGGER WARNING
Not many hours (90 minutes for me) until it’s FRIDAY again.
Ah! crossed in the post

Is that like the sound of one hand clapping?
I think there’s a lot of foul language and grunting involved.
It’s more like…
I may have abbreviated the process somewhat.
Challenge?!?
[ Checks links for one last time, presses schedule. ]
Because I know you care…I’m able to get to twitter posts via my iOS devices now. I still see no news regarding such an outage or problem.
It’s those viscose slacks. They build up static charge.
[ Loud crackling from WTP’s trousers, lights flicker and dim. ]
Well the acetate lace boxer shorts you sent me certainly aren’t helping matters.
[ In the gloom, sparking. Cutlery rattles. ]
[ Fetches welding goggles, lays down rubber matting. ]
Not a problem with a silk-and-cashmere
bloggingblog-commenting thong.BTW…on the odd chance anyone is or know anyone who is thinking of buying a furnished home in central Florida…well…
There are more than two genders:

‘8. Not crazy woman who knows a good grift when she sees it.
Bit late to the party but thanks for the blogging, David. Here’s a belated ping.
Bless you, sir. May your belches be unheard.
And one more time, thanks to all who’ve chipped in, or subscribed, or done shopping via the Amazon links, including all those much too shy to say hello.
It’s much appreciated and is what keeps this place here.
