If students were too kind, the adults twisted the dagger by using the most painful of stereotypes, according to the report. After students called out “good at math” for Asians, staff yelled out “small penises.”

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s often struck me just how many parents seem unconcerned by the kinds of people to whom they entrust their children, five days a week, for years. As if only the well-meaning and non-deranged would apply for the job or be in charge of hiring others.
Setting aside for a moment the inexhaustible supply of ‘progressive’ ideologues, my own unremarkable comprehensive school employed several child molesters, two of whom were seen indulging in, shall we say, inappropriate behaviour, and one of whom indecently assaulted my friend’s younger sister and was consequently given a dramatic, and public, beating by her father. A third teacher was obviously interested in such intergenerational possibilities, albeit with boys, though, so far as I know, was never seen quite crossing the line, merely lingering on it, and a fourth teacher was happy to let his fifth-year students know about his sexual relationship with a teenage girl who’d left the same school only a year earlier.
I very much doubt my school was some outlier in this regard.
It used to be that parents could take for granted that schools very much tried to protect the children in their care, and screened teachers thoroughly. Now, the wokeness of the teacher is a hiring criterion but the word has not gotten back to the parents.

Socialists can never leave the kids alone. They always dress them in the uniform of the state and march them around because loyalty has to start early. The stocks / town square scenario is not an entirely glib idea. When dealing with criminal narcissists, an obvious approach is to teach them, vividly, that their egos can be broken. People prone to self-flattery finding themselves in stocks in a town square, say, where the people they’ve wronged can see, and where public humiliation is pretty much inevitable, seems more likely to have a corrective effect than token fines, or a brief spell in conventional custody, or probation or whatever, during which they can still pretend to be radical and heroic. The option of self-flattery should be removed. The humiliation aspect seems quite important.

A neighbor of mine in the South Silicon Valley area shared a video of a mountain lion crossing their front yard at night. From the way the critter navigated the shrubbery, it was clear that this cat was quite familiar with the route.
Thankfully their place is a couple miles from mine. I only have to deal with the family of coyote in the local ravine. Though I did find a dismembered front leg from a deer out in the street last year…

Back in the early 70s, at one of California’s finest public high schools, we had a teacher nabbed for hosting girls on his boat overnights, and another teacher who was so brazen about it that he worked on seducing a 15-year old girl classmate of mine while I was in the room. Like, four feet away. Just the three of us. He probably thought I was too naive to understand what he was saying, because I was a quiet, tiny 14 year old.

I don’t suppose this is the incel terrorist threat – the political exploitation of a toxic brew of sexual, racial, and nationalist resentments among young men – that the media has been warning us about.
These kinds of consciousness/resentment raising activities have been going on since the 60’s. They’re so old-timey that I expect Afros and medallions and talk about Spades and Chicanos. The reason it’s news now is that whites are becoming a minority and can can no longer insulate by living in nice places like Santa Barbara.
A conservative publication shouldn’t be getting its knickers in a twist about stereotypes as such. What gets called a stereotype is an observation about group differences in capabilities or habits that’s unflattering to one of the groups being observed (thereby infringing on their group right not to have negative things noticed about them), or that discredits the general principle of diversity being good for the societies upon whom it’s being imposed. Observations which discredit a given group are tagged as stereotypes, and from then on mentioning them discredits the observers rather than the group being observed. It’s an antifragile weapon against whites, about whom there are no stereotypes, only speaking truth to power.
Painful as the invocation of a stereotype might be, a conservative publication should make it clear that it’s whites who are being targeted, not Asians. The Asians are being recruited as foot soldiers and getting a drill sergeant treatment in order to get them to put their heart and soul into bayonet drill. If that sort of language is thought appropriate to egg on the Asian boys, then what sort of bullying is being meted out to the white boys and girls? Once you know that, you can feel sorry for the Asian boy but in the right perspective.
The slur hurts the boy not because it’s a “stereotype” and discredited/hateful as such, or because it’s a false slander, but to the extent of the boy’s life experience of being sexually invisible to blondes and redheads. He’s being encouraged to stew on it instead of being philosophical about group diversity (“oh well, it’s not like I come from a long line of Latin lovers”), or asking his parents to send him back to school in the old country. And whatever envy he might have about Latin lovers or stereotypically better endowed blacks is rechanneled into resentment against the pale white devils. Such resentment might be bad for the boy’s life prospects (or it might be good if he makes a career writing articles about his resentment), but we should be more concerned about the targets of his resentment.
The foot soldiers are being conditioned with a ludicrous moral claim to be welcomed and loved everywhere (or at least in white countries) both individually and as a group. Their rhetorical trump card is “so you think this country would be better without me in it” (right now, buddy, I think we’d all be happier if you were back in the old country – even you’d be happier, and you as much as say it yourself in every complaint you make about your alienation).
