I long ago read a characterization of the process of embracing Communism as one of (sometimes quite consciously) discarding one’s humanity in favor of barbarism. Sadly I cannot remember the source.

But I’ve been told Antifa don’t exist and aren’t violent (even though they don’t exist).
It’s like Holocaust denial: it never happened and they had it coming to them.

This is hilarious. First Antifa pressure the Mayor and Governor to keep law enforcement away while they BurnLootMurder their way across entire neighborhoods. Then the property owners and neighbors show up to defend their property and perhaps indulge in some mostly peaceful frontier justice. Then Antifa cry to the Mayor and Governor that there is nobody around to protect them.

I believe what they desire is a more thorough version of modern British policing: hands off rioters, looters, Muslim groomers, and other such “anti-fascist” elements, but dogged pursuit of those anti-revolutionaries who dare defend themselves or targeted property, or who speak any words revolutionaries deem offensive.

Something I noticed on the Nextdoor App/site (I know, Karens and lost Cats). I was going to drop it entirely but the politics and Karening and mask shaming and such dropped off considerably right about that time and as I am out of (that) town for the summer I decided it was still a good way to keep in the loop on what is going on in central Florida. Then this happened…Some woman posted about her 15 yo son getting yelled at when walking home from the park. Some guy accused him of breaking into his car. OMG, the drama. I gave up right at the point (3/4 through) that she mentions, just casually mind you, that her boy just happens to be biracial. Now how did I know that was coming? I should have left it at that but I also noticed that in just a few hours this comment had gathered 40+ comments. Only one comment really questioning it (with that person taking considerable heat for not believing everything such people say), and one other person earnestly pointing out that it might not have been racially motivated because her daughter had some crazy guy yelling at her at that same park. All the other comments were of the “I am so sorry your child had to experience this”, “Is he alright?”, “Terrible that such things happen today. You know there’s a lot of hate out there”, “Did he call 911?”. You would think the kid had been physically attacked or something. This is a 15 yo boy. So many people have absolutely no resilience anymore. And they’re raising kids to be even weaker. I couldn’t resist the temptation to post something to the effect of “It’s terrible. Yesterday I saw a video of a guy in Baltimore get hit over the head with a brick while the people videoing it laughed about it.” Of course my point flew right over everyone’s heads, even garnering a few “hearts” and “IKR?” type responses.

Oh look, more mostly peaceful grievances aired.
Trash people high on malevolence. The rest is an excuse, a lie. The rationalisations can be ignored as a self-flattering distraction, a pretext; but look very carefully at what they choose to do over and over again. Because that’s what it’s about.
Or as someone quipped on Twitter, “Marxism in blackface.”
