Jordan Peterson tries to speak at Grant Hall, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Monday, March 5:
Meanwhile, outside the hall, the woke-lings feel good about themselves:
I’m told they’re attracted by the smell of brains.
Update:
Another scene from inside the venue. Amid the shrieking and psychodrama, note the spraying of the audience.
“That’s pure narcissism at work, by the way.”
I think you will find that the ‘garrotte’ claimed by the police will be defended by the arrested woman’s lawyer as a simple ceramics clay cutter. The potters do use tools like this for cutting up clay during kneading or for cutting off smaller pieces or detaching a turned item from a potters wheel. I suspect that if the accused is or was enrolled in a ceramics subject or hobby, or claims to have an identifiable friend who is, she will not be found guilty.
Of course if she has written on the handles, “For Killing Nazis”, this excuse might not work so well.
Whatever they decide to do, I have little doubt that they’ll wind up terrorizing and probably injuring some decent Middle Americans . . .
While it’s certainly true that “Middle America” is a target-rich environment for Antifa types, one should remember that in Middle America, the targets shoot back. Antifa seems to thrive in those places governed by leftists/progressivea who try to turn a blind eye the mayhem. As others have noted, that’s part of the allure: hooliganism without consequences. Once they step outside their leftwing cocoons, however, they will more than likely meet a lot of people who aren’t as accommodating.

Indeed, as we saw when the “anti”fa scum imported from Atlanta (Georgia moonbat central) tried to infiltrate Auburn University (Alabama).
Whatever they decide to do, I have little doubt that they’ll wind up terrorizing and probably injuring some decent Middle Americans, and in a way that the news networks can’t resist showing.
Would you accept Middle Canadians?
So far, the response appears to be a hashtag and buying more donuts.
One of the purposes of the rhetoric and the posturing is to make the line increasingly easy to cross.
Yes. At the very least, it seems designed to make realistic thinking all but impossible – and, should any occur, likely to be punished as an outrageous provocation. If you actually wanted to make people neurotic and absurd, and wildly disproportionate in their reactions, and – oh yes – easy to bully, it’s hard to see what you’d do differently.
And so words are construed as violence (and of course “silence is violence” too). And engaging with other cultures is “appropriative” and racist (but ignoring other cultures is “exclusionary” and “marginalising,” and therefore racist). And bringing businesses and jobs to a minority area is gentrification and therefore racist (but leaving the same area is “white flight” and therefore racist too). And if you acknowledge race in almost any way and for any reason, you’re a racist (but if you aren’t fixated by race then you’re “ignoring racism.” And therefore racist).
And on, and on, and on.
Not entirely unrelated:
Note that parents were not consulted at any point in the process and only discovered the racial shaming campaign when their children began complaining about it. And note too that, despite Ms Downs’ theatrical confession that she has “unfairly benefited” from her “white privilege,” albeit in ways that aren’t made clear, she hasn’t resigned from her position as Superintendent of Schools.

I was going for ‘cheese wire’, myself. But yep, she’s walking.
