I’m not sure that he does, at least it isn’t apparent from the interview. He does, however, note that, “Being a white male, I felt if I was to attack back it would be very bad. That situation could be flipped very poorly in my direction.” Which is presumably an acknowledgement of the institutional double standard – on campus – regarding assault and harassment, one that’s all too obvious from recent events, and which the “social justice” contingent are eagerly exploiting. Hence the opportunism and air of impunity. Even the woman in the mobility scooter is acting all gangsta.

Even here in Seattle, Evergreen has long been a laughing stock. Notorious for the lack of anything approaching a real education. If you want to insult someone, you accuse them of going to school there (being a ‘Greenie).

What gives me a small measure of hope is the realization that the delicate flowers of Evergreen State College are like tropical plants, thriving in an artificial environment, but in reality stuck in a greenhouse in Saskatoon. Transplantation can be a real bitch, if/when it happens.
I know you’re thinking about what happens to these Maolings when they have to leave the uni, but I’m afraid that most of them will end up in places where they can do lotsa damage.
Soros-funded activist organizations (numbering in the large dozens) will absorb many of them, wherein they’ll be protesters full-time. Those with better connections will end up in politics and government, where they can “drop the radical pose to achieve the radical ends.”
The Bolshevik and Nazi revolutionary movements took root in the universities long before they swept into the general pop. Given their reflexive support for bloodthirsty thugs like Wahhabists, and their bottomless pockets from Soros and God knows where else, they are set up rather well to do a lot of damage before they’re stopped.
Make no mistake, they WILL change the broader culture permanently. Maybe not all of it will be permanent, but the resonance from similar upheavals in the 1960s are still heard today.

Many moons ago, I negotiated a deal with my wife for our honeymoon trip: She got a week in Paris; I got a week in Normandy. The beaches must be seen in person to really appreciate the enormity of the undertaking. We basically took the week and tried to cover the whole campaign from the landings through the Falaise Pocket. Carlo D’Este was with us in paperback and spirit. My wife took it surprisingly well, seeing as how she’s German.

Not the same week, I assume.

For the 2016 election, only the blind and the desperate still attempted to claim that right wing and left wing are the only choices, and that right wing means conservative. The most evident proof was having three conservatives fighting for the two presidential nomination seats of the Democrats and the Republicans. Very little came out of the left wing liberal gutter, and from the right wing liberal gutter, the right wing liberal candidates were reduced to hoping for a VP slot and assessing how to pay off campaign debts.

While the particular magazine had no response to the submission, the submitting email does confirm the date. Three days later, Ted Cruz announced that Carly Fiorina would be his VP.

Soooo, as a reminder of what we’ve already been aware of, the issue with McCarthy isn’t that he was going after communists, the issue is that he was supporting the actual communists.

McCarthy was, is, and will always be nothing more than a mere and typical right wing loony, incompetent, a compete failure.
