An Ability To Ignore Dissonance
Lifted from the comments, this feat of self-knowledge:

“How little they understand us,” says he. Sorry, he/him. Because pronouns in bio, obviously. Again, cue the meme.
But remember, dear reader, the routine and often vehemently announced antipathy of so many progressives towards people of pallor – as seen, for instance, here, and here, and here, and here, and here and here – is merely a figment of your fevered imagination.

It was all just a misunderstanding, see? Your fault entirely.
The cattier among you will have noted the choice of profile photo.

See he/him thinking deeply.
Update, via the comments:
Following much mockery, our book-reading pronoun stipulator is now referring to his numerous quoted posts – in which he refers to massive, indiscriminate third-world immigration as “just a thing that is happening,” and in which he says white people are “the worst” and should be “cancelled” and “abolished” – as being some misunderstood subtlety of thought. While sneering at those who noticed these statements as “chuds.”
This process is of course resulting in people uncovering more of the same.
Oh, and then there’s this, approvingly reposted by our deep and subtle thinker:

Given the increasing luridness and frequency with which these horror-show scenes are happening, and given what is at stake should this trend continue – all these vibrant stabbings and rapes – asking pertinent questions with a view to making them stop doesn’t strike me as obvious proof of scumbaggery.
I mean, if you aren’t allowed to recognise the pattern and identify the problem – the dare I say it, root causes – then such horrors will continue and most likely multiply, perhaps very quickly. And it seems a bit rich to rush to one’s fainting couch because someone used the word “savage” to refer to a third-world migrant, supposedly a source of our enrichment, ululating in triumph while attempting to behead a native on the streets of Belfast.
Apparently the indigenous are allowed to be briefly upset, but only before ramping up their tolerance and inclusivity, and carrying on as before, as if nothing of significance had happened, or will happen again, and again, with ever greater boldness. While the process, to which we mustn’t pay any attention, and regarding which we mustn’t ask obvious questions, continues.
Anna, needless to say – the woman crying “scumbag” and boasting of being a Labour voter – also thinks you need to know her pronouns.
Again, patterns.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and so forth.

Bitchy but funny.
Well, there is, I think, information in that decision. “I wish to be seen reading a book and therefore looking clever.” It tells us something.
Possibly something unintended by the he/him in question.
Mr Self-Knowledge.
“it’s not happening but it’s also good that it’s happening”
And of the left.
Dissonance, you say?
Gonna need a moment to process that.
The past is a foreign country.
‘Janet and John’ books get trigger warning.
The past must be forgotten, and disdained, lest it corrupt.

Meanwhile, the WSJ asks, “Is California’s elections rigged?”
Answer: looking at it statistically, yes.
Also, whoever gets the top two spots get to run against each other, leading to elections where the choice is between two candidates of the same party.
Banana republic. So glad I left 15 years ago.
Today’s word is: self-knowledge.

I don’t know enough about California’s voting patterns and regulations to say much, beyond noting the remarkable convenience. But what strikes me from over here is the Democrats’ seeming indifference to the appearance of impropriety, of possible shenanigans.
They were bolder when they thought they were winning.
A white person saying “white people should be abolished” only makes sense in a suicide note.
Speaking of dissonance, “trans” people aren’t political props, declares this wannabe politician.
A hate crime in LA.
For you comic book fans out there something for the Holy Month of Pride.
And for those of you who missed it in the previous thread, a Sudanese gentleman, new to our ways, busies himself with a spot of attempted decapitation.
Art thou not enriched?
Regarding which, please stop noticing.
No, no. We can’t have that.
Campaign song?
“Poor white people vote terribly everywhere”
Goes so incredibly well with the profile pic.
Hollywood parenting edition.
I prefer “abolish leftist people”. Or deport them to a third world hell-hole.
She ain’t right.
I AM FULL OF SMOKED HADDOCK AND SCRAMBLED EGGS.
That is all.
That’s an understatement. But is true of so many in entertainment.
And of course we’re paying for the privilege of each new horror show.
Let’s just check in on the Green Party.
Okay then.
And regarding that beastly noticing business, a reminder of just what kind of creature Cathy Newman is.
Ms Cathy Newman may of course be remembered from this eye-widening exchange.
I’ll take the ‘or else’ option please.
Why is there never a salt shaker to hand when needed?
She’s one of the few public figures to whom I react with a visceral dislike. I find her skin-crawlingly awful.
And so, enabled by such clueless bints, the Buffalo-Billification of society continues.
The cops in Northern Ireland are armed, I suppose it would have been islamophobic if they had ventilated the alleged perpetrator, at least they didn’t arrest the guy bleeding this time, so there is that.
Henceforth, we should call that MP Gollum Eastwood.
? I don’t get it. Unless you mean she’s a slug who should be salted.
Which differs from most of the rest of the UK, but those guns are only supposed to be used on Catholics or Protestants, depending…they aren’t meant for use against any other religions, silly.
Is it them, Yogi? Of course.
Everything in its place.
I felt that.
I’ll just leave this here, I think.
Speaking of dissonance: LA voted Karen Bass, you know, the one who burned 1000 homes and killed dozens because no water in reservoirs, number 1 in primary. What crime would actually cause a dem candidate to lose in a blue city? (I mean besides wearing a MAGA hat, of course)
Cue the rioting in Texas: Karmelo Anthony found guilty of murder.
a Sudanese gentleman, new to our ways, busies himself with a spot of attempted decapitation.
What we’re getting from the media is a hypnotic repetition of the words concern, calm, community (scroll back for the inital BBC reporting, since riots have started now that will get a more dramatic treatment).
The piling on of the anodyne language is enough to cue people by now that something lurid has happened, perhaps even of Emmett Till or George Floyd levels of luridness, but that the media is trying to make boring.
“Concerns” to be therapeutically managed rather than acted upon politically. “Communities” the clue that the perpetrator is nonwhite and that the mandated focus of concern is that there’s no backlash, like asking the government to please stop letting them in.
We do have to say the word “knife”, but we’re calm and we avoid specific, personalized, emotional descriptions of how the knife was used. Some people are saying the word “beheading”, but that would be exploiting concerns and doesn’t tend towards calm in the communities.
And Northern Ireland’s 400 year story of nonassimilation, failed integration, and sectarian conflict isn’t seen as a good enough reason to avoid importing even more hostile and incompatible tribes. The unified message from the politicians instead seems to be something like: we were beheading each other in 1641, so not wanting to import Sudanese beheaders would be racism, and besides, we figured out eventually how to get through a decade without car bombs, and such an enviable civilizational achievement has inspired us to start the 400 year project again.
It needn’t even be told to put the lotion on its skin.
Thoroughly.
The testimonies and evidence were so pronounced against Karmelo, the verdict is correct — even in the face of ongoing threats.
The defense had nothing at all.
Sentencing currently being addressed. Death is off the table since the murderer was 17 when it happened.
We can read. And because our leftist friends are often well educated (or perhaps thoroughly educated, anyway) and wonderful at expressing themselves, it’s not hard to understand them.
Witness this article, written by a white woman flagellating herself as she excuses artist Kehinde Wiley’s paintings of a black woman beheading a white woman.
This is the same artist who painted Barack Obama’s famous portrait.

I am thinking of this as the left contorts itself over the first degree murder charges of Karmelo Anthony.
We understand them just fine; more’s the pity.
Left understanding the right: for a group who think ferals and third-world gangs are “just like us” to claim any understanding of others is rich. They completely lack insight. A member of congress just gave a speech against Trump’s nominee for some post saying the repubs were going to steal the election and weaponize the government…hahahaha projection is not just for movie theaters apparently.
As another hilarious example, they brought out those absurd “patriot front” in khakis, all young with short hair, as if anyone on the right would believe it was real (the left of course fell for it).
The “knife” thing is being massaged in the Anthony case in Texas in a different way but in a similar direction. The coverage in this case, especially from the leftists, has mentioned several times that Anthony was wrong to bring a knife to school. Then they go on and on about the size of the knife, whether it had been cleaned before being used on Metcalf, all sorts of generally irrelevant detail but important so they can keep talking about the knife. Because carrying a knife, a regular pocket knife, must now be problematized. This is how the brainwashing works.
