Friday Ephemera (788)
I am the night. || High winds, some swaying. || Hot and spicy. || Hooves, leather, crossbow bolts and other vulture treasure. || Digitised Da Vinci. || Don’t pull that face, it’s trans scholarship. (h/t, Pst314) || You’re drawing the Moon all wrong. || For likes, you know. || Owl versus socks. || Swingers. || Would watch. || Call it swapsies. || Social interaction is always a pleasure. || The progressive retail experience, parts 671, 672, 673, 674, 675, 676 and 677. || An exact replica, see. || Rap, but with breathing difficulties. || Forging balls. || The ancient sport of road bowling, 1978. || The Nine Billion Names of God. || I’m sure the state will do a bang-up job. || Just checking. || Ejaculation stats. || The robots are coming. || It matters who comes. || And finally, somewhat alarmingly, incoming edges.

For example.
“Florida quinceañero.”
Oh no.
Anyway.
Aaron McGruder, creator of the comic The Boondocks, on C-SPAN:
“Black people have used up all of our earned moral currency.”

Caveat: I have not watched the full videos–not enough spare time as yet.
Aaron McGruder is a radical leftist–black revolutionary mindset, I suppose–but all his talk about an evil America of slavery and segregation and all the rest is refuted by these sorts of news stories which appear every damn day. Get an education and behave like a responsible citizen and the problems you blame on White Amerikkka will go away.
2003 – not a lot seems to have been learned in the intervening 22 years.
Agreed.
And him relating how he talked with folks in Cuba about America needing a Revolution? Bog-standard black leftist bullshit.
He laments that “White America has been watching us act like fools”, but fails to realize that he is as much a fool and those thugs and losers.
“Nine Billion Names of God” practically begs for a low-budget short film adaptation. I wish something similar had been done with some of Clarke’s “Tales from the White Hart” but that’s my tech-nerd showing through.
