Well, indeed. Whether some benign and numinous entity deserving of the title God exists, I couldn’t say. But of all the conceivable and inconceivable possibilities, “a drag queen with a microphone… ‘yes-queen’-ing her way down the runways of Paris and Montreal” doesn’t quite cut it somehow.
In olden-times – not so long ago in fact…a mere five or six decades – dangerous and terrifying psychopaths like this Isaac thingy would have been chained up and locked in mental asylums.
While at school, I remember that instead of compulsory CCF – some of us who were afraid of that and subsequently being drafted into the Army if the USSR attacked – we were bussed on Wednesday afternoons to a local insame asylum to “help out with the patients”. A more searing and terrifying experience has never afterwards been visited on me.
At least only the “harmless” patients were allowed to be near us and that was bad enough while we watched them mechanically fill little boxes of “Britains Miniature Garden” coloured parts. But we could hear those like this dude through their locked cell doors…

This. If they tell lies about one thing, why should we believe them? Why should we trust them to present the facts honestly? Why should we trust them when they interpret those facts? Year by year, decade by decade, the left has been proving that it cannot be trusted–with anything.

Regarding the pilot’s problem with his Garmin NAV system…
There’s AT LEAST three problems
1. Pilot put strongly magnetic items in the cargo bay. There’s very good reason why shipping magnetics by air is strongly regulated, and this is why.
2. The approved installation of the magnetometer anywhere near the cargo bay or passenger compartment. Very wrong. The aircraft manufacturer, Garmin, and whoever approved it (FAA team) goofed. Assuming, for the sake of argument, that this is a legal installation, which it may not be.
3. Pilot failed to notice his instruments disagreed, during his preflight checks. At the very least, he should have noticed the misalignment of the Garmin mag compass vs. the runway. In every plane I flew, there was also an old fashioned mag compass, entirely separate from all electronics, and this situation is why.
Pilot’s are traditionally beat over the head during training to cross check multiple instruments. But many accidents are due to a pilot believing a single failing instrument, especially when the failed instrument is highly visual and intuitive.

The problem is that THEY believe them. THAT is the truly threatening and scary part. And it has been going on for decades now and goes on to this day. Hence the “fascism” and “nazi” rhetoric that they only tone down, not because conservatives…”conservatives” meekly object but because even the left will sacrifice what they think is the truth for political expediency. This is the much greater danger.

Also amusingly, the article demands that Stanford make yet more special accommodations for students who are too psychologically damaged to live on a campus that already takes care of nearly all their needs. Truly, this is a road which has no end.
Trigger warnings: I saw where course listings for forensic science and some other fields have trigger warnings for graphic content. As if forensics was just fingerprints or something. Do these students not watch cop shows? Kids are way to sheltered these days. I read a sci-fi story back in the day where every couple of generations individuals had to go live a primitive life (including risk of death) to prevent the race from becoming too weak. Very clever and could be useful now. I loved it in Houston during the hurricane a few years ago when the manly men with their bass boats showed up by the hundreds to rescue people. No females with boats, no woke new yorkers.
My town has been something of a controlled crime experiment. It was historically very low crime suburb of chicago. One murder in 10 years. No car-jackings or armed robbery. The town was very diverse, with Iranians, Indians, Chinese, blacks–but all middle-class. Then about 8 yrs ago we started getting Section 8 (housing voucher) people from Chicago. Now we have all the crime types. If crime was due to racism the prior no-crime condition could not have existed.

My late FIL, a member of the police force back in the ’70s, used to say that black suspects preferred getting arrested by white officers, who would simply cuff them and take them to jail. The black officers made the suspects understand that you don’t make your people look bad.
