The Educators of Tomorrow
Lifted from the comments, University of Pennsylvania teaching assistant Stephanie McKellop signals her wokeness to lesser beings:
That’s this lady here. The one whose areas of expertise include “race, gender and the body,” “self-marriage” and, wait for it, “racial blame.” And who announces, rather proudly, “The classroom is the place YOU get to control the social setting.” A mixed blessing, I suspect.
Update:
From the pages of Inside Higher Ed:
Stephanie McKellop, a graduate teaching assistant in history, says she is under attack by fringe-right groups for using progressive stacking in her classes and then tweeting about it. Worse, she says, the university is cowing to such groups instead of supporting her. She’s claimed on social media that her classes were cancelled this week and she may be asked to leave her programme.
According to sociology professor Jesse Daniels, a supporter of Ms McKellop, the negative public response – which included a spectrum of students, educators and parents, of various hues and orientations – is “ripped from the playbook of the far right.” So if you object to overt racism in the classroom, racism framed as piety, then there’s something suspect about you, something marginal. Ms McKellop prefers to dismiss her critics as “white nationalists” and, inevitably, “Nazis.” Readers may wish to ponder how any students who object to this “progressive stacking” policy – i.e., blatant, self-satisfied racial discrimination – will also be designated, and subsequently treated.
Incidentally, regarding those bloody borders, I strongly recommend Andrew Bostom’s immense and eye-widening book, The Legacy of Jihad.
I just had a Twitter convo with a Scot living in Amsterdam…
He should have a conversation with Bruce Bawer. His head might explode trying to reconcile the conflicting Privileged Victim narratives.
…(“citizen of the world”)
There are few people more contemptible than those who proclaim themselves “citizens of the world”.
“The revenue […] will simply be made up by appealing to their government buddies for more subsidies for ‘underprivileged’ youths.”
This almost sounds like employers listing ridiculous job requirements at low wages and then claiming candidates can’t be found, thereby necessitating offshoring.
“Lawsuit That Never Ends”
I don’t know how Mann can get away with that never ending delaying. There’s also the one against Tim Ball.
Wait – she said other POC second, does that mean she is discriminating against Brown people? Isn’t that a hate crime?
What if one of the Lesser beings in her class is Muslim? (They can be any color, ‘cos it’s a freakin’ religion!). Is that Islamophobia??
Or what if those white women or *gasp* Evil white men is actually a Trans-something? Are Trans- at the top of the victim scale? Or does it only seem like it these days?
It’s enough to drive a person to drink.
Are you really suggesting Europeans should stop using birth control? (Me: hardly)
Why not? If Europe doesn’t start righting her demographic pyramid soon, the Dar al Eurabia will become a reality. Importing a new people isn’t the solution, especially barbarians. More native babies are.
So yes, stop using birth control. Stop subsidizing childlessness. Stop encouraging people to live for the day while expecting the non-existent next generation to support them in their old age.
See comments elsewhere regarding falling white male enrollments. It has been falling for years. If they were truly interested in retaining white makes, none of this would have gotten anywhere near this far.
Yes, but in some places it is shrinking faster than others.
For all universities’ kvetching about white male privilege, being seen as a de facto woman or black college means a substantial loss of prestige, and eventually revenue.
The lessons of Evergreen College and Louisianna University have not gone unnoticed. Universities know that the best students have an enormous array of choices, and are highly protective of their reputation. This, more than anything, will help temper some of the political mania ravaging campuses.

Agree, in the context of the real world. But the real world is evil and racist. Universities are tasked with being sperm donors to the Great And Glorious Future, the momentum of which shall roll over the ignorant and uneducated. As Lenin said, “Study! Study!”
The volume of teh stupid going on here is still much louder and will continue to be seen as the Strong Horse relative to those opposed because the push back is still quite weak. The culture is still firmly in their grasp. No politicians are speaking up forcefully about this problem. Who is going to deny struggling minorities an “education”? Meanwhile the academia machine, due to low and/or nonexistant standards, churns out more “credentialed” lefists than the opposition can ever hope to create.
And remember, the Left still has its favorite trump card to play, of which it has been very quiet about lately, abortion.
Daniel,
” I think the Lawsuit That Never Ends has affected him more than he’s letting on.”
As Steyn himself says “the process is the punishment”.
The system is engineered this way. In my view one of two things will happen: The populace will just buckle and become servile or something will explode.
The jury is still out.
I don’t know how Mann can get away with that never ending delaying.
As Mark has pointed out, it’s the corrupt DC court system that allows it to go on.

I’m always struck how they all end up living in London, New York or Tokyo rather than, say, Lagos or Dhaka….

I see that I’ve been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours.
Could have been worse.

Which brings us back to WTF is going on with the cops over there ?
A couple of platoons of cops line dancing in the streets to “YMCA” following a lorry load of cops with a report hate crimes banner. If you want to break morale of the average cop on the beat and make people lose respect for the institution, I suppose this is the way to do it, but I don’t think it is what Robert Peel intended.
…but I don’t think it is what Robert Peel intended.
The Police decided in the 1960’s to abandon Peelian policing.
A book I could recommend on the subject is ‘ A Brief History of Crime‘ by Peter Hitchens, who gives his opinion, backed up by plenty of evidence, as to why the British police and Government have failed the public so badly in the last 50 years. It was published in 2000, so the situation is worse now than that described in the book.
Those cops in the parade reminded me of…

(Actually, most things these days remind me of Monty Python skits)
The one whose areas of expertise include “race, gender and the body,” “self-marriage” and, wait for it, “racial blame.”
Why Race Is Not a Thing, According to Genetics
Why, you’d almost think that different breeds of the same animal (such as cats or dogs) were all exactly alike in disposition and intelligence.
Why, you’d almost think that different breeds of the same animal (such as cats or dogs) were all exactly alike in disposition and intelligence.
Thirty days in the cooler!
It’s always Nazi with these folks. I doubt they have even the vaguest idea, outside of a Indiana Jones movie, what a Nazi really is and the fact that they would soil themselves if real Nazi SS were to magically appear and take an “interest” in them. And they always seem to forget what the S in NSDAP (the abbreviation for the actual political organization Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) stands for.
Why, you’d almost think that different breeds of the same animal (such as cats or dogs) were all exactly alike in disposition and intelligence.
Yeah, I’m always confusing Border Collies and Chihuahuas.
And they always seem to forget what the S in NSDAP (the abbreviation for the actual political organization Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) stands for.
To be fair (not that they really deserve it), there have always been organizations and movements which called themselves something that they weren’t. The People’s Democratic Republic of North Korea is one example.
That said, insofar as the Nazis and other Fascists had any coherent economic philosophy, it was Socialistic. “Everything within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State” doesn’t exactly sound like a paean to free market economics.
And they always seem to forget what the S in NSDAP..
I remember seeing an interview with Friedrich Hayek who said that when he was in Vienna before the war, he was amused by how interchangeable the membership of the Communist and Nazi parties were. One day Fritz would be battling for the Commies and next week for the Nazis.
If you take someone from Ethiopia and someone from the Sudan, they are more [sic] likely to be more genetically different from each other than either one of those people is to anyone else on the planet!
Science proves that there is no such thing as ‘race’.
Science also proves that there are such things as “Ethiopians” and “Sudanese”, two genetically distinct groups of people.
I just had a Twitter convo with a Scot living in Amsterdam (“citizen of the world”) who claimed to be laughing him/herself silly over the notion that Western civ could be destroyed when the Muslims reach majority in Europe.
I rather agree with Jonathan; I’m always struck how they all end up living in London, New York or Tokyo rather than, say, Lagos or Dhaka…. . . .
And a bit of catchup reading reminded me of the overall reason why anyone gleeful about the demographical end of “Europe” should rather wind up quite disappointed . . .
Di is quite correct when noting that the issue isn’t whether Western civ is too strong to collapse (Me: History is all about civs rising and falling. How’s Egypt these days?).
The issue is . . . when the Muslims reach majority in Europe.
When?
What when, pray tell?
What came to mind was a general observation that—very much more or less—when the village gets TVs and a refrigerator in every house, the local birthrate drops.
Everywhere.
The first thing I see with https://www.google.com/search?q=asian+indian+birth+rate is a rather interesting chart that one can actually play with.
When playing with the chart m’self, I left China in given the Muslim population there, and tossed in Japan given Japan having reproductive demographic issues.
There does indeed appear to be a very likely outcome in some areas, where in those areas there will indeed be someone demanding that So yes, stop using birth control. Stop subsidizing childlessness. Stop encouraging people to live for the day while expecting the non-existent next generation to support them in their old age. . . . except that in such an instance, the much more likely opening phrase will be something like As the Koran states, stop using birth control. Stop subsidizing childlessness . . . . .
The falling fertility rates in large segments of the Islamic world have been matched by another significant shift: Across northern and western Europe, women have suddenly started having more babies
So said Snopes in 2009. And according to a rather interesting chart that one can actually play with, that was arguably true at the time:
* Swedish fertility went from 1.5 in 1998 to 1.98 in 2010 (and dropped slightly since);
* in the UK, 1.63 in 2001 to 1.92 in 2010 (and dropped slightly since);
* Spain, 1.13 in 1998 to 1.45 in 2008 (etc);
* France, 1.73 in 1994 to 2.01 in 2015
* Germany, 1.24 in 1994 to 1.5 in 2015
And the sources of Muslim immigration? Somalia’s dropped to 6.36, Pakistan to 3.55, Algeria to 2.81, Turkey to 2.05.
the much more likely opening phrase will be something like As the Koran states, stop using birth control – yes, your data does suggest that to be a very likely outcome in some areas – across northern and western Europe, in particular.
