It’s Not You, It’s Me
I’m taking a few days off in search of mojo. By all means amuse yourselves in the comments, or poke through the reheated series for things you may have missed. And don’t touch the liquor cabinet. I’ve rigged it to blow.

Well, in their defense it was a pay cut designed to not look like one.
“Election balls up.
No ephemera.
When does the riot start?”
Well, I’m feeling triggered. Where’s the safe space?
“Officers in Quebec have worn them as a form of protest since 2014”
It’s… er… not much of a protest, is it?
“Aha! / Alors! We’ll make it harder for people to distinguish the outlines of our legs! / Nous allons rendre plus difficile pour les gens de distinguer les contours de nos jambes! That’ll show ’em! / Cela les montrera!”
Canada, man. Who knows what’s going through those heads of theirs?
Beyonce was a member of Destiny’s Child.
Sad news: Adam West has died at 88.

KA_POW!

I’ve been here forty years and I still can’t figure these ****ers out.
I think it has to do with the syrup.
Visit London where, at least, our murder victims are a proud testament to diversity.
Triggered !™ by 3-D version of WWII nose art in a Breitling shop !
Passing over the whole WWII wasn’t fought in 1917 thing, I can’t decide whether it is a curse or blessing to have a life so free of difficulties that one has to make them up.
Passing over the whole WWII wasn’t fought in 1917 thing. . .
I don’t think she recognized the sculpture as bomber nose art to begin with, much less associated it with WWII. When one is on grievance safari 24/7, one cannot be bothered to ascertain relevant facts. The nominal “offence” is paramount.

I’m pretty sure all the dead were White people but hey, at least muslims don’t have to travel far to slaughter a variety of infidels. Or as another blogger says: ” Diversity + Proximity= War”.
Visit London where, at least, our murder victims are a proud testament to diversity.
Right. Actually it looks more like it is a testament to London’s tourist trade which, I am guessing, is probably not going to be helped by all the mayhem. Maybe the problem is the lack of diversity among the terrorists. I know, rayciss, and I report for regrooving.
I guess that makes it OK, then.

Be careful what you say bigots!
Me: Bill, why’d you buy 5 pounds of tater tots?
Relative: That was the only size they had.
It makes sense, in an autistic sort of way. I think the Tater Tot Fairy will be visiting the neighbors pretty soon (we have a very small freezer).
Beyonce was a member of Destiny’s Child.
I listened to Beyonce. I have no desire to listen to Beytwice.
That is SO CUTE. Ted thinks he has a choice. Heh.
Speaking in quiet, measured tones, the 56-year-old points out that London has been hit by terrorist attacks throughout her life.
I guess that makes it OK, then.
Terrorist attacks have occurred previously. I’m not even sure I know how to pay attention to something that obvious and pointless.
Also, I am now going to discuss all events in reference to my lifespan:
‘The Pt Arthur Massacre occurred. At that time, I was alive.’
‘The 20th century saw the rise of many dictators, most of which occurred before I was born.’
‘The Romanian Revolution occurred the year after I was born. Had I not been born, things might have been different.’
Yep, that makes a lot of sense.
I don’t know when David will be back, but somebody better open a window to air this thread out a bit. And get out the “foot broom” to shove some of the detritus under the couch.
In the meantime, I offer this for your consideration.
It is no coincidence that, while society outside the walls of campus looks on with disbelief, administrators to this point have been siding with the students. For if they were to repudiate the actions of the students, they would also need to repudiate the ideology with which they have been brainwashing them. In other words, taking a stand against the students would require administrators and professors to re-evaluate the meaning and value of the entire raison d’etre of their adult professional careers. Holding on to madness is a way of forestalling dealing with the grief that comes with the realization that one’s higher purpose has been a fraud.
It’s a symbiotic relationship. Colleges need stupid people to use other people’s money to pay the salaries of the faculty and administrators.
For if they were to repudiate the actions of the students, they would also need to repudiate the ideology with which they have been brainwashing them
That would presuppose intellectual integrity and moral courage on the parts of the administrators, neither of which is in evidence. The administration could easily repudiate the actions of the students on one hand, and double down on their indoctrination on the other. Analogous to the “REAL Socialism has never been tried” mental gymnastic which so many parlor pinks espouse.
