He Thinks You Might Be Jealous
“You’re being yourself,” says a cross-dressing man who parades around the streets at night in a fetishistic latex maid’s uniform. With bonus dog collar and leash, obviously.

But he doesn’t want to talk about his sexuality, because “it’s complicated.”
Says our enthusiast of bondage and public humiliation, “The rush eventually wears off… I miss the rush… you do more risqué things.” And of course this chasing of transgression entails onlookers. People to be scandalised, disturbed or in some way imposed upon. Reluctant participants in his naff erotic drama.
At risk of seeming insufficiently affirming, what I see is a man being consumed by his own sad and grubby fetish. Not, I think, the most obvious basis for applause. Or indeed pride.
But hey. Modernity, baby.
We’ve recently mentioned how the realities above are difficult to convey in a normal social situation. Consequently, you may encounter people who wish to be seen as supportive of all things trans, because they’ve been watching the BBC and therefore know almost nothing about the phenomenon that they feel obliged to be seen supporting.
And so, you may find yourself in a social situation where nodding along or some affirming noise is expected, and you may then have to decide whether to sidestep the subject or introduce the other person to a world they may not care to enter or wish to spend much time in. But which is a very large part of what it is they’re affirming, if, perhaps, unwittingly.
And which isn’t necessarily what you want to think about when, say, having a meal with friends or coffee with the neighbours.
Update:
Regarding the endless chasing of transgression, mentioned above, it’s worth bearing in mind that our tedious transvestite is recording his interactions, any double-takes or looks of disgust, for sexual purposes. That’s his thing. He’s making other people part of his fetish, whether they wish to be or not.
See also this piece of work, mentioned here some years ago.
Dr Colin Cremin, a sociology lecturer, wants you, and his students, to be disconcerted by his stockings:
And his fitness to teach.
I hate to sound prim, but if I were – God help me – a sociology student, I doubt I’d be reassured by the fact that my lecturer felt entitled to use the classroom as a venue for his transvestite fetish.
It does rather suggest a pathological level of self-involvement and raises a suspicion that students may find themselves playing captive audience to – or being reluctant participants in – some personal psychodrama. A kind of power game.
Some variation of, “I can do this, and you can’t stop me without being accused of bigotry.”
Same dynamic. Same imposition. Same sad creepiness.
And note how readily Dr Cremin – our balding, middle-aged man in a frock and court shoes – employs the now-familiar language of “gender fluidity,” identities, and mandatory tolerance.
Lifted from the comments, which you’re reading, of course.

That. ☝️
I think it’s okay to use the term tiresome pervert.
To what degree he chose to be the person he is can indeed be complicated. But whatever personality, likes, dislikes, mannerisms, etc. he chooses, he is not a woman.
Added: still amuses me when comments fail to post on threads like this to get the message “Nonce is invalid”.
Also amusing, when I went to double-check the word meaning I see this:
Now don’t let me catch any of you calling anyone a nonce unless they have been convicted in a court of law and all appeals have been exhausted. Slang or no slang.
“Nonce is invalid.”
Or, in layman’s terms.
I’m getting a word….
Ooh. Pub lunch.
[ Prepares for heavy gorging. ]
An obsolete meaning which I used to encounter in old books:
Next door to the pub is a genteel tea room. It is currently occupied by little old ladies ordering pots of tea and fancy cakes, and a dozen burly, leather-clad bikers.
Mister Garrison’s boyfriend?
This is the way:
More details:
Needless to say, traitorous NGO’s are furious:
How about making it 20 years and seizure of all assets?
Leftist law students misrepresent this as violating civil rights of invaders and their facilitators.
UPDATE: A list of 56 NGO’s which have protested the legislation.
Includes the usual suspects: Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Rescue Committee.
And note the unsurprising presence of Jesuits.
It’s quite a charming combination. Blue-rinsed dears at one end and bearded bikers at the other.
No fighting to report.
When fetching the morning paper becomes a fraught exercise.
If only nonces were one-time values.
My thanks for the heads-up on “man in latex dress” thing. I did not need to see that.
Even in terms of erotic invention, it’s all so dreary. So unimaginative.
Setting side… well, everything else, it’s offensive even on an aesthetic level.
I mean, that’s the best you could come up with?
I was thinking of its neighbours but it works either way.
The worst I experience is an aging loony who sometimes yells at the Moon but never threatens anyone.
Is THIS what was promised by the ‘Information Age’? How enlightening.
Fits perfectly with what Jordan Peterson’s research showed:
“Morning, Derek. I see you’ve been chained to a lamppost again after a night of erotic hoovering.”
Not likely, unless the blue-rinsed dears are the Batley Townswomen’s Guild.
Album title.
Blue rinse dears…
“Old age and treachery always wins over youth and skill.”
“I don’t care what you are. I care what you can do.”
And to think at one time they were considered “men astutely trained,” but then, France was once called the Eldest Daughter of the Church.
No fog at all this morning. French press Sumatra, too. Watch out, folks.
BTW, photographed marriage proposal # 228 last night atop Andrews Bald in the GSMNP. Lovely – temps were in the mid-60s up there compared to 90 F (32C) in Gatlinburg.
Heh. I should add that the burly bikers are regulars, arriving en masse every Sunday, and are always terribly well-behaved. And the elderly ladies have been known to kick off about the flaccidity of the scrambled eggs. So it could go either way.
This reminds me of a video a while back where a woman was offended because a guy assumed she had pronouns because she “looked like the type of person who uses pronouns”. She thought it was insulting that anyone would judge her like that.
Did she have pronouns, she was asked.
Well, yes, but…
And wouldn’t she be offended if people didn’t respect her pronouns?
Well, yes, but…
And that’s why people tired of the nonsense. These people don’t want respect, they want adoration and constant attention.
They want to make you dance. Or sweat a little, anxiously.
If anyone’s getting aroused by this thread, I’m upping the price of the drinks.
[ Ups price of drinks. ]
It’s an antaphrodisiac, so not a chance.
But you’ll raise the prices anyway, won’t you?
[ Ups price of drinks again. ]
Hey, I’m just going by the readings on this hand-held device.
Briefest hostage situation ever.
Odds of recidivism zero.
Granted, the experience must have been alarming for the mother and her children, but probably less stressful than being held hostage, at gunpoint, by an armed robber with no regard for boundaries and very poor impulse control.
[ Continues scanning clientele. ]
Masterfully understated.
Poor Canadians!
the flaccidity of the scrambled eggs.
The what? How?
“I want more money”
Oi! That’s my wallet!
Has David been training the local fauna?
Does anybody remember the name/URL of the Twitter account featuring whimsical anime style drawings of tiny women operating devices from inside? Copiers, ramen automats, headlights that flip up/down? I’d swear somebody posted one here sometime in the last year.
David would just train them to quietly pick your pocket.
He’s training them to replace the henchlesbians.
In his 70s, my dad had a t-shirt for tennis with this saying on the back:
“Old age and treachery always wins over youth and skill.”, well, the shorter version of it. He thought it quite clever.

I’d somehow forgotten about the bewitching Dr Colin Cremin. And that wouldn’t do.
