Syracuse University hires healer. “Moon sessions” ensue.
A Campus & Community news bulletin – in which the word “Indigenous” is used many, many times – tells us that Ms Schenandoah will be helping students “bring forth their own potential” via “a wide range of healing modalities,” including the aforementioned tuning forks.
Those touched by Ms Schenandoah’s uncanny powers will learn that the forest is “a relative, not a resource,” and that birds “sing in the morning because they’re happy.” Quality stuff.
Armed with such arcane skills, Ms Schenandoah – whose job description is curiously vague – will provide “a safe space where Indigenous students can cope with stress and trauma.”
Yes, the trauma of attending one of the more expensive and statusful colleges in America, with its annual fees of $70,000, its 920 acres of rolling lawns, its 20 tennis courts, and a capacious ice-skating pavilion.
Vote For The One With The Mental Health Problems.
Green Party leader with fabulist pronouns upset by captioning failure.
“I am assumed male nearly always by strangers,” says Ms Kuttner, which, frankly, seems a tad implausible. We’re also told that perceiving her as a man, not a woman, requires “effort,” an effort that is expected by Ms Kuttner – which would appear closer to the truth, if not entirely consonant with the previous claim.
“I don’t like when politics is focussed on identity,” says Ms Kuttner. While informing the nation, via YouTube videos, about her own list of identities, her pansexual appetites, her PTSD, her variable pronouns, and the need to “look at pretty much every piece of policy from a gender-diverse lens.”
You Will Pretend It Has Great Value.
At Montreal’s Concordia University, physics must be “decolonised.”
This “indigenous knowledge,” the particulars of which are elusive and treated rather coyly, will, we’re told, be “elevated” – presumably, above its station – while “Eurocentric western science” – or, you know, science – will be “de-centred and scrutinised” for any residual wickedness. Any oppressive taint. And hey, what better use could there be of other people’s time and money?
A tale of colliding make-believe.
Apparently, we’re to be told what reality is by people who think they’re witches.
As these are terribly modern, immensely caring witches, Ms Howard was banned from the organisation’s Facebook page and from the website of the British Druid Order on grounds of being “unequivocally transphobic.”
Thereby denying Ms Howard access to the arcane knowledge of “seers and healers,” along with the opportunity to purchase oracle cards, audio recordings of spells and invocations, and “hymns to the divine feminine.” Oh, and guides to coping with stress by wrapping a thick blanket around your head.
For those craving more, this is a pretty good place to start.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and bicker.

BTW, why has no one told me about Red Rock Golden Ginger Ale before? Delightfully spicy!
Looks like another deadly trucking accident caused by a “migrant” driver.
Who gave him the CDL? It was California, wasn’t it?
The driver has been identified as Jashanpreet Singh.
…from Yuba City
So yes, sounds like California again.
Gateway Pundit says he’s an illegal immigrant who was caught and released by Biden’s Border Patrol.
Yet another violent crime by a crazy with a length criminal history. At some point the only reasonable options are death or life without parole. One has to be a fool or have malevolent intentions to want such monsters to ever walk free.
All of the Latino telenovelas are like this, unlike American soaps that have characters come and go, and story arcs weave in and out, but the show never ends.
In the telenovelas, once the series is over, the actors scatter to the four winds and regroup in new novelas, so you keep getting endless mix n’ match with cast members.
The typical story is of a virtuous young woman of humble means who is tormented endlessly by wicked women in her ambit as she seeks union with The Handsome Prince, who is usually wealthy.
I’ve only seen one through to the end, Rosalinda, which had all kinds of great stuff — wicked sister, wicked MIL, amnesia, hidden heritage, lost child.
I don’t even LIKE soaps, but I had a lot of fun with this one.
Here are some more standalone episodes that I remember liking (from a long time ago):
103 — Squeeze, a guy who can get into tight spaces
108 — Ice, they’re trapped in an Alaskan research facility
111 — Eve, spooky twin girls
120 — Darkness Falls, glowing bugs in a logging area, reminiscent of the Vashta Nerada
219 — Død Kalm, adventures aboard a spooky ship
223 — Soft Light, with Tony Shalhoub and killing shadows
308 — Oubliette, with Jewel Staite (pre-Firefly) and parallel kidnappings
317 — Pusher, who can induce suicides in other people “Cerulean Blue”
402 — Home. Creepiest episode ever. A woman kept under the bed on a skateboard.
410 — Paper Hearts, a heartbreaking little thing
Exceptional turn of phrase. But these days I half-expected to see something a bit more literal.
Actual shot (not AI!) of a French detective working the case of the French Crown Jewels that were stolen from the Louvre in a brazen daylight robbery.
“I’m sorry, Dave. I can’t retract my libels against you.”
Do they really think no one will notice?
I’m assuming it’s understood that others will feel obliged to play the same game, to perform the same inversion. The statistical realities of the stabbings, thuggery, harassment and sexual assaults of which the petition complains, and which have risen dramatically in the last few years for reasons deemed unmentionable, are of course taboo. One mustn’t notice these things.
And clearly, the belief is that many people can be trained to accept this level of unrealism and dissonance, as seen for instance here, following this:
Apparently, we’re expected to believe that helpless male migrants with prosthetic legs are being groped in public swimming pools by chunky, red-headed German women. It’s almost funny, like some weird comedy sketch.
Though I did like these replies to the horrors-of-a-white-man-in-a-suit-and-tie:
Or as someone else quipped, “Can I have my phone back, please?”
It also occurs to me that the right-on female students who are demanding women-only carriages may have difficulties turning away cross-dressing men who pretend to be women, and to whom they’ve sworn fealty in order to signal their own piety. And who, statistically, are more likely to transgress normal boundaries than some random white guy in a business suit.
Regarding which,
Paul Embery, here.
Missing my all time favorite S3E4 Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose, starring Peter Boyle. The opening scene with the lottery ticket is just…and telling Mulder apropos of nothing, “Autoerotic asphyxiation is a humiliating way to die”.
That showed up on my X timeline when it was retweeted by a female UK ‘journalist’ with her own call for women only carriages. One of the first replies asked her which men in particular might be the cause and her response of, ‘Here they come.’ completely evaporated any sympathy I may have had for her.
Sidenote: while logging in I was asked to prove both my humanity and that I am human, implying some humans lack the core requirement of humanity. Rather on brand for the blog’s usual subjects – well done. Also, I was told there would be no math.
Speaking of all the badges, it has been two months since her last nail job.
The forehead tattoo made me positively gush with sympathy.
In other news, this morning, while buying lunch, I discovered that the proprietrix of my local deli is 70 years old. I’d have guessed late fifties.
I must know the secret of her moisturiser.
She’s entrusted with children, you know.
Unfortunately, video does not show exactly where they put the handcuffs.

Looks like California has taken the plastic bag challenge.
Claude-Frédéric Bastiat weeps.
They expect it to be noticed . . . and applauded.
It seems distinctly possible the actual message is subjects should not molest masters.
‘I didn’t even know what it was.’
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the defendant was also given referrals to a shrink for mental distress – and a urologist – for his failure to perform to Swedish legal standards.

Good girl.
Again, the phrase unworthy of civilisation.
Train poster: of all the types out there, a white guy in a business suit is the LEAST likely to harm anyone. FFS

The rapist or those who coddle him?
The violent assault and rape of an underage girl is not exceptionally serious?
Treason.
I asked Google for a definition, and its AI returned this:
I’m not sure how reliable the AI is, so take it for what it’s worth.
Re: Google AI, see above.
Recreational murder ought to be sufficient grounds for the death penalty.
Incidents of gang-bangers shooting random strangers have been increasing for some time. I believe it is partly due to “migration” of “refugees”, but also to the self-ratcheting of homegrown hoodrat depravity.
Good girl.
I was even wearing my fiberglass pants today. There is no pleasing the Spam-no-Mor 3000 {Ausf. G)™
California government policy: Give CDT’s to illegals who cannot pass the exam and are not fluent in English.
It would be nice if Eritrean “refugees,” and “refugees” generally, would express the appropriate gratitude by taking great care not to violate any law of the host nation, however small it may be deemed. Gratitude of that kind, and mindfulness of the law, doesn’t seem too much to ask.
And it would be nice if the civilised world were willing to respond to any such violation by “refugees” – even, say, a rape that “did not last long” – with something other than the perversity we now see on a regular basis. And which suggests not so much justice as suicidal tendencies.
Ssshhh. She’ll hear you.
Isn’t Gaad Saad’s book Suicidal Empathy due any day now? Oh wait, it was released in September.
As noted recently, if you find yourself having to explain to newcomers, adults, the most basic rules of civilisation – say, don’t rape children – then that’s a pretty solid clue that those newcomers do not belong among you.
Waffle to the effect of “Oh, but we just need more posters and PowerPoint presentations” is perverse to a degree one might consider slapworthy. If even the most rudimentary moral assumptions require repeated explanation, those being told such things are too far gone.
And the citizens of the civilised world have better uses for their time and money.
So they have that in common. 🙁
No, not until some time in 2026. (Precise release date not yet announced.)
The young lady in question is interviewed here.
Drunk, 21 y/o illegal alien truck driver killed three in California TWO days ago. Dash cam.
Remember, Gavin Newson is running for President.
Rewatching The X-Files thirty-odd years later update. The episode Eve, with Harriet Sansom Harris and her cloned girls, was decently entertaining.
Still amused by the Nineties fashions and the boxy cars, though.
Ladies and gentlemen, my Congressman’s work. Tim Burchett put the caption, “Fixed it for you, Hillary.” She had tweeted this with a picture of the construction on the East Wing.
California government policy: Give CDT’s to illegals who cannot pass the exam and are not fluent in English.
Truck drivers probably should have higher standards for spoken English comprehension and fluency than most white collar workers do. Unfamiliar surroundings, talking to strangers in noisy distracting circumstances, and somebody can get killed if you just smile and nod when you don’t understand instructions.
But even to bring that up is to indulge the delusion that we’re living on the modernist sci-fi 21st century timeline, where the authorities are on the people’s side in trying to improve standards and quality of life, and not the timeline we’re on where the authorities are deliberately burying us in 3rd world personnel and 3rd world quality of life.
“Some of you may die, but it’s a sacrifice I am willing to make.”
The one with Luke Wilson is hilarious although there are many good ones.
