Friday Ephemera (789)
Cleavage. || Big Derek and the haunted Sheffield nightclub, 1970. || American driver versus British roundabout. || At last, a rotary keyboard. || And in women’s volleyball news. || It goes on forever. || Yoga, you say. || How to get shot. || The 10 drunkest countries. || Dubious PhDs, from queer captioning and the “systemic ableism of visual arts” to lesbian houseboating. || Canned chicken, chowder, and freeze-dried cheese. || For $100 an hour, she offers coaching in “texturism” and “child liberation.” || Oh, to be young and in love. || The thrill of laundry. || Not quite grasping the concept. || Not quite sensing the causality. || It’s not a vape, it’s an anxiety pen. || Social interaction is always a pleasure. || Someone took her feathers. || And finally, enliven your houseplants with Mother Earth’s Plantasia.

Like the warning about distracted driving that requires a response to clear the screen?
When does one see that warning? I’ve never encountered it.
Well, my personal encounters with feminists and leftists did increase the length of my “do not render lifesaving assistance” list from zero to multiple pages.
All 24 minutes of deleted scenes from Master and Commander.
Happens intermittently when you start the car. Just happened today in my son’s Hyundai. It happened last week in my Chevy. It’s the only thing displayed on the screen. If you’re ready to back up quickly, it even momentarily blocks the reverse camera. Here’s an example. It disappears after 10 to 20 seconds. Unfortunately, those 10 or 20 seconds are when you’re trying to navigate a parking lot or use your NAV system in a place you’ve never been before.
Ah, spending time among the emotionally dysregulated.
He big mad.
Chappie doesn’t seem to understand that what he wants – i.e., the ability to bully others into lying – is not something that he should want. Wanting that power to bully others, to make them tell lies, is what makes him a bad person.
That this should even need saying is itself quite remarkable.
He big mad
I notice that the word vitriolic has become popular in trans outrage – all their enemies are just spewing vitriolic hate at them. Hyperbole is not something to be reserved for when, well, you know – when the shit really hits the fan – but is just another Tuesday for them. Like that genocide. Still looking for the bodies in the streets.
I didn’t have Iran becoming the sex reassignment vacation capital of the world on my bingo card but here we are.
All 24 minutes of deleted scenes from Master and Commander.
The, “rum, sodomy, and the lash”, scenes, I take it.
I think we’ll give that one a post of its own.
Comments that-a-way.
Because nothing demonstrates moral superiority better than rote repetition of falsehoods, at volume, with spittle flying.
A closer shave should be at the top of his list.
You don’t have an X account, I take it. No such warning for me.
Rum and the lash, but no sodomy thank goodness.
I’ll have to pay more attention at that moment. There are no warnings when I’m trying to use the screen, fortunately.
What “alternative” fan version did you watch, that had sodomy scenes?
[ Opens notebook. Writes “suspicious knowledge”. ]

You are the one perving on Twitter, not me.

Too busy checking on Twitter, I see.
