Drag Queen Incongruity
A possible series:
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service wants to know what you think of this.

According to the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service:
Lest anyone assume that fire engines don’t turn up to the burning houses of sassy, finger-clicking transvestites, or something.
Curiously, the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service survey form, inviting the public to express their views on Pride attendance and matters of transvestite outreach, has, with seeming briskness, now been shut down.
Readers may wish to speculate on why that might be.
And when you think Fire and Rescue Service, what you want is a mental image of vamping, squealing drag queens in unfeasible heels and flammable wigs, tottering unsteadily to your rescue while wrestling suggestively with a big hose.

Update:
Did I say possible series…? Why, yes, I believe I did.
I see. I’d completely ignored that.
But consider: The crime rate for middle class blacks is much higher than that of middle class whites (not to mention Asians.) So it’s not so surprising if a middle class black kid is doing ghetto shit.
In other words, culture changes only slowly. And members of that culture have to be serious about changing it.
But . . . from the images presented in the video it appears as though the kid was white.
Now, it may be he was black – as an aside, it’s curious that putting the racial categories in the past tense reads better – and the news reporters are obfuscating that fact. Certainly it appears the homeowner victim is black.
I would note that the local Nextdoor thread does turn up complaints about ‘ding-dong-ditch’ and those perpetrators caught on video have all been white.
Two-tier television.
All the kids in the linked video are black or mixed race.
But you’ve forced me to do another internet search, which yields photos of a white kid. Dang. I shouldn’t have been so quick to assume the YouTube video accurately represented the events of that early May incident. Especially since all I recalled from when I first read about it was “kids kicking door at 3am”. Dang.
Speaking of unreliable memories, I’ve been re-watching old Hill Street Blues episodes, and have found various scenes which I misremembered, substituting a character and so on.
I’m not sure what should be done with Britain’s ruling elites, but it should be painful.

Question of the day: Are you OK with this?
By the responses I’d say that yes, pretty much everyone is.
I can’t… even…
Sounds like the cassette tape got wrapped around the capstan.
Dr. Todd Grande provides details and analysis on Vance Boelter. It appears the timeline is different from what we got from initial reports (surprise!), his “security service” barely existed on paper, and his current occupation was… well… not something I’d choose.
Man was a full-blown kook.
It’s farcical that we’ve even arrived at this unhinged moral puzzle, but it’s time, I think, for a reassertion of physical reality. One shouldn’t be held hostage by malice and insanity. The driver’s actions are at least comprehensible, a response to aggression, alarm and danger. The activists’ actions are deranged, a randomly aggressive provocation, a cause of danger.
And the kinds of creatures who play these unhinged, sadistic games cannot be relied on to observe normal moral boundaries. They are not good people. They do not mean well. And it would be unwise to let them encircle you and hold you prisoner.
Again, from upthread:
And note that the activists typically rush from all sides, rapidly surrounding the car and its occupants, heightening the fear, and drastically reducing the driver’s options. This is not accidental. There’s an implied dare. The game being “You won’t do what’s needed, despite our alarming and menacing behaviour, because you’re nicer than us, less vain, and not unhinged, and so we can dominate you and terrorise you, and break your stuff, for as long as we want, for shits and giggles.”
Well. I would suggest that the activists’ own actions render their wellbeing of very low importance.
Re the above, a footnote of note.
1.7K likes and counting.
Again, people who behave in this way cannot be relied on to observe normal moral boundaries.
Are their victims, their chosen targets, those alarmed drivers and passengers, the ones just going about their business – are they supposed to assume that the mob of unhinged aggressors exulting in their capture and harassment will not press their advantage and do something worse?
“The masked, screaming people are only blocking our path and surrounding us.”
“Now they’re only smashing the windscreen and pulling at the door handles.”
“And now they’re only…”
I think we’ll give that one a post of its own. Comments that-a-way.
I think I saw one of these in the basement during my last regrooving. I bet it could buff right out that memory problem.
Re re a footnote, as I said there…It’s a means to an end. If they are significantly injured while performing their virtues they will expect to be taken care of. Just like how some criminals can’t survive on the outside so they commit obvious crimes in the hope of getting caught because at least prison provides food and care and even a structure that they cannot attain otherwise. For some of these protesters, some are actually trying to get arrested as well.
Fundamentally, how is this behavior any different than if they grabbed you by the arm and tried to restrain you as you were walking down the street? Do you not have the right to push back on them, to shake them loose and move on? If they fall and hurt themselves, isn’t that on them? I mean in the real world, not the phony BS one the legal system has constructed while everyone silently accepted it.
This is basic understanding of boundaries that generally gets worked out on the playgrounds of elementary schools. But of course the leftists injected themselves into that decades ago with the “all fighting is wrong and it doesn’t matter who started it” BS. Who knew there would be repercussions?
I’ve often wondered about that.
Theodore Dalrymple has written about that: Prison provides a stable environment, food, shelter, medical care, etc.
