Jennifer Lahl and Kallie Fell on “queered” health care:
A provocative new paper in the journal Qualitative Research in Health titled “Medical uncertainty and reproduction of the ‘normal’: Decision-making around testosterone therapy in transgender pregnancy” by Pfeffer and colleagues propels us further down the road of medical malpractice.
The authors, a group of transgender sociologists and enthusiasts, and healthcare activists, with not one medical degree among them, argue to dramatically move the goal posts of medical ethics, choosing to completely disregard the health, safety, and well-being of the developing foetus, all in the name of “trans” inclusion…
The authors argue that “gendered” pregnancy care is too focused on helping women have healthy babies, and that it might be okay for transmen to continue taking testosterone during pregnancy despite the known health risks to the foetus and effects on its normal development. The desire for “normal foetal outcomes,” according to the authors, is rooted in a problematic desire “to protect their offspring from becoming anything other than ‘normal’” and “reflect historical and ongoing social practices for creating ‘ideal’ and normative bodies.”
This is, quite frankly, insane.
Ah, but “highly gendered” and “offspring-focussed” health care – for pregnant women and their babies – makes it “challenging” for sexually dysmorphic women who wish to be perceived as men, even while heavily pregnant. In short, “Screw the wellbeing of the baby, the inhibited lactation, and the risk of serious birth defects. Just jack me up on testosterone and refer to me as Sir.”
I paraphrase, of course. But nowhere near as much as one might hope.
Somewhat related, Heather Mac Donald on fads, transgenderism, and defaults:
A phenomenon doubtless familiar to regular readers.
And Noah Carl on the unspeakable:
But of course, in the Current Year, you can’t simply state certain facts about race and expect to keep your job. How naive of [chemistry professor, John] Sherman to assume that you could discuss such things at a university… If Sherman wanted to broach the subject of race and IQ, he should have picked a location more conducive to free inquiry – like a warehouse or a bus stop.

Wanting a healthy baby is… problematic? FFS
That’s pretty much the gist of it. But hey, Mama needs her hit of Man Juice, and that’s what matters.
And in sports news.
Or evil.
It does suggest a grotesque level of selfishness.
Thing is, if you try to present sexual dysmorphia as not being a serious mental health issue, one that commonly manifests with equally serious comorbidities, and instead invoke identity, a thing to be affirmed and never, ever questioned, under any circumstance, then complications will arise. And some of those complications will be morally bizarre and quite unsavoury.
And thus the elimination of women’s sports. Why have it at all? The most cost effective solution is “open” divisions, especially in the marginally cost effective sports. And the bloody lawyers, with of course the help of their nutty clients…though most such clients are generally nutty, kill another nice thing society fought hard to get. Some people predicted that this sort of thing was eventually going to happen but they were dismissed as nutters. The beautiful irony is that while implemented by individual generally abnormal men and leftist men (BIRM) none of this would have happened without significant support, allied with silence, by women. Great job ladies. WTF our great-great grandparents wasted all that time with that bloody stupid 19th Amendment…SMDH.
The desire for “normal foetal outcomes,” according to the authors, is rooted in a problematic desire”…
Unless, as was seen here before, you are a couple of lads who want a designer baby but only if it is perfect – any preemies, any abnormalities, then chucking it over the proverbial cliff (no adoptions!) is AOK.
Announcing a trans identity…
Meanwhile in The Great White North they do the meme, “I’m a boy” – no problem, says Health Canada, we’ll take off your breasts, part of your arm, make a floppy flesh tube, and Bob’s yer uncle, you are a boy.
“I am unspeakably fat” – no problem, says Health Canada, just lie back, this won’t hurt a bit.
That.
I want these authors to be treated as the monsters they are. They should be regarded with the same loathing and distrust as is accorded to serial killers.
“It’s been a slow and careful evolution. And I’m proud of that.”
Yes. Yes, I’m sure you are. Frog, pot, boil. For whatever reason I’ve been rather keenly aware of how this idiocy gets normalized. Why do so few others only see reason to address such problems when it’s too late?
The connotations are not, I think, inapt.
The point of an ethicist is to find rationalizations for things normal people consider morally repugnant.
Well that comment stirred up some grim memories: I have encountered sexually promiscuous women who clearly and routinely stated that they happily obtained abortions whenever they got pregnant and they did not use birth control because hormonal methods interfered with their sex drive and condoms prevented them from enjoying the feeling of the man’s ejaculation.
When everything is about momentary pleasures and larger obligations count for nothing, well, you know you are dealing with people who should be shunned.
This. This. A thousand time this.
Because that’s what men do?
It’s been a slow and careful evolution…
Highly important when you want to make a healthy death.
Meanwhile on the US&A side of The Great White North, a triggering occurs and puts people in a state of sickness and rage.
And so, we arrive at a contrived, pathologically selfish pseudo-morality in which the wellbeing of one’s unborn child is pretty much to be dispensed with, on grounds that all possible medical outcomes, including avoidable deformities and sexual dysfunction, are somehow equally desirable.
And because Dysmorphic Mama wants another hit of Man Juice.
At which point, I scarcely need to mention that among the sexually dysmorphic, rates of narcissistic personality disorder are remarkably high.
Here, have a hit of thalidomide…
More & more the effects of deinstitutionalisation are become apparent.
Reading between the lines are they actually insane enough to believe that copious ingestion of testerone by mum can result in a transboy rather than a baby girl? Here’s me thinking that science had dispensed with Lysenko and Lamarck.
On the plus side this use of the word “normal” is one hell of a self-own, particularly in the light of recent linguistic attempts to establish trans as the new norm and cis as an aberration.
Rich Lowry on noble-savage nonsense.
Given the treatment afforded to proponents of unrestricted abortion, it seems likely they’ll be fêted and applauded.
I’d be quite happy to toss the authors into a pot of boiling water.
Modern-day metaphysicians.
…anything other than ‘normal’…
Speaking of which, this guy has opinions about periods.
To simplify, reality is transphobic.
Expect to see a proliferation of policies designed to goad “undesirables” into suicidal thoughts. If you are not useful to the State, the State will find ways to kill you.
The Ben & Jerry’s July 4 message refers to the Lakota “fighting to keep colonisers off their land,” without any mention of the fact that, just a short time before, they were the colonisers.
That.
Expect to see a proliferation of policies designed to goad “undesirables” into suicidal thoughts.
Already here.
But hey, Mama needs her hit of Man Juice, and that’s what matters.
And Daddy just gotta chestfeed, cuz of the feelz …
Re the Lakota, forgive me if I have posted this before:-
The white men stole the black hills of Dakota from the Lakota Sioux who considered it to be their ancestral land, albeit only since they stole it from the Cheyenne.
Who stole it from the Kiowa
Who stole it from the Pawnee
Who stole it from the Crow
Who stole it from the Arikara
Who stole it from the Clovis
etc etc
Just to complicate matters I believe that the Clovis and possibly also the Arikara, far from being “Native Americans”, actually immigrated in from Asia and naturally proceeded to steal the land from whoever was already there. That’s how history works, conquer or be conquered.
This.
You’ve got one bunch yammering about a woman’s right to an abortion, vacuum out the undesired mass of tissue.
You’ve got another bunch banging on about dysmorphic women’s need for testosterone, damn the fetus/baby – normal outcome is problematic.
And then you have the biological males who like to have sex with other biological males, but who want to play house and so hire surrogates – biological females only please, and not only normal fetal outcomes, but perfect baby outcomes, and kill the imperfections.
I need a drink.
but who want to play house and so hire surrogates
But my body, my choice, right? Right?
Some small portion of women agitated (sometimes violently) for the 19th so we could have the world we live in today — and this rickety barge for discussing the eventual, inevitable consequences of giving them the right to vote.
Contemplating the amount of time and money wasted is depressing. Much like the discussions on reparations after decades of handouts, riots, and looting.
“colonizers”: in eastern North America, paleo-genetic and artifact studies have found multiple races/cultures (both genetic and artifacts) over the past 8000 yrs that were dominant and then vanished, replaced by others. The current dominant gene complex in Central Europe all the way to spain did not arrive until about 4500 yrs ago. The tall herding people of south africa only arrived there less than 1000 yrs ago, replacing the Bantu people. It is not possible to untangle who “owns” the land.
One of the things that normal male and female biology and hormones do is help you bond with a baby. I have seen mothers who swore they would never have kids get the urge, get pregnant, and just swoon over the tiny person. Dad’s also bond. This is what SHOULD happen. If you are so obsessed with your fetish that you don’t care about damage to the fetus/baby from your hormones, then you will not be a very good parent. In fact, in normal circumstances, a mother taking drugs or being a drunk during pregnancy can be arrested or lose custody. I know a cocaine case where the grandma got the baby but he was quite retarded from mom’s coke use.
Cripping the Galleries:
Not the first time the Art Institute “crippled” their galleries: In 2021, in a spasm of wokeness, they fired their entire volunteer docent staff for being too white.
The “activate” jargon is particularly risible. The pretentiousness of shallow people.
When there is a gang shooting outside the museum, let’s talk about “crips” and “bloods”.
Step aside, Michelangelo: Slab of Butter Beaten With A Cord
Well, I watched Asteroid City. Or rather I watched 23 minutes and 40 seconds of it.
There’s only so much self-indulgent arse I can take in a movie, and 23 minutes 40 seconds was it.
And I watched all of Eraserhead!
My eyeballs have still not rolled back to their normal orientation.
It’s hard to work up much passion about that. Most women, even the ones competing, seem perfectly happy about it, so fuck ’em. These new women, you know – the ones with cocks, are much better at it anyway. Maybe they’ll persuade me to start watching?
I’m quite relishing this whole end of my civilization vibe. I don’t see why you lot should be able to enjoy any of it after I’m gone.
It may not be peak stupidity, but it is getting close.
When the power is out because of a storm in the South, a truck is generally going to be more useful than a car, so you have your choice of electricity, or going where you need to go. Great choice that only a writer from the NYT would think is a good idea.
Rolling blackouts – I can get a $2500 generator, or a $60-90,000 truck, said no one except a software engineer in California, which goes a way to explain why software tends to be shitty.
I’m no cinephile, but I’ve enjoyed most of Anderson’s movies. I never paid enough attention, but maybe this was inevitable? I’ll probably check it out much later via other means. The conclusion from a review at IMDB lines up: “ultimately it’s just a series of scenes, one after another, that you don’t care about”
But my body, my choice, right? Right?
And yet the idiot Handmaid feminist LARPers all blathering on about The Patriarchy and the Evil Right-Wing Theocracy that’s gonna take over Any Second Now has nothing to say about the actual Handmaid industry: surrogates to incubate designer babies for usually all-male couples or throuples who want to play house with a real baby made with “their” DNA. Then again, I probably shouldn’t have expected anything close to logic from the bunch that’s been hyperventilating about Teh Patriarchy for decades, only to roll over and show their bellies when a real Patriarchy (the Trans mafia) actually showed up.
Me too, or rather most of the few I’ve seen. But here he really is dialled up to 13. It ain’t pretty.
Well actually it is pretty. But it’s not good.
The Bloomberg writer who trashed “Sound of Freedom”as a QAnon conspiracy theory is connected to a pedophile group.
I wonder how many other critics are. Considering how many intellectuals and artistic types made excuses for rapist Roman Polanski, I suspect there are more than a few.
Bad butter, bad!
Software quality engineers, making sure the quality comes out before the name goes on.
While I agree, now do the one where the ever so f***g brilliant and admired, elite doctors chop off the penises of little boys and slice the breasts off of developing girls while injecting those and others with poisons that don’t just destroy…excuse me “retard” (without of course, any any any any side effects or repercussions)…not just the sexual but also the emotional and aesthetic aspects of human existence. Damn, that’s a miserable sentence. Not even sure it’s grammatically correct. Bah. There are worse things in this world than my booze-infused ramblings. Oh yeah, all the above while the rest of the f****g doctors play all, “oh my…that isn’t me”. Privately. Where no one in the general public can possibly perceive their ever so diligent objections.
Fuck you. I get to die first. Seriously dude. WTF were you when I went through Jane Elliott style diversity training? When I spoke up, not just once but several times, and AGAIN not every time, just those times when it was bloody f***g appropriate to do so, and risked certain aspects of my career, not that I gave a fuck about that as I made plenty bank to be happy from it…but still… I could have made so much more bank, and especially been so much more satisfied in my…f****g work…(breath breath breath)…if I wasn’t so bloody distracted and sidelined by such idiocy.
Where TF was I? Shit…another of those rambling, God only knows WTF I just said bits. And now I’m out of peanuts. Fuck.
Dude! You too? How that same guy made that, but then that other stuff, but everyone was all like “ERASERHEAD! ERASERHEAD! ERASERHEAD!” that I thought WTF. Maybe the other stuff sucks too but I’m not looking at it in the proper, approved manner.
My SAT score was not high enough for MIT to accept me.
Can I now sue them if I identify as black?
Or evil.
Ayn Rand observed that evil is the intentionally irrational. I think she was right.
Anyone who treats babies as disposable toys rather than human beings deserves to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around his/her/its neck.
Because that’s what men do?
Because it makes them special, daring, and worthy of not only attention, but adoration.
I thought they were called “full stops” in the UK.
I thought they were called “full stops” in the UK.
Someone fetch Ted’s coat and the Zippo.
“paleo-genetic and artifact studies”
Of which, over the past 20 years or so, are quite limited (a polite way of saying “none”), as genetic testing ran headlong into the native ‘murrican (yes, I are one. Partially. Or mostly) activisim. Therefore, no research allowed.
This bit from link on batteries is funny: “support electric grids, rather than straining them.”
How batteries “get” such ‘lectrons seems to be a mystery. Wrapped in romex…
And again, we see the ostentatious pronouns and ‘progressive’ moral preening serving as a fig leaf for moral dysfunction and monstrous selfishness – in this case, the excusing of child molestation. On grounds that “sex work” is somehow empowering for minors, that those who molest them are a downtrodden minority, and because parents are “an oppressive class, like rich people or white people.”
I think we may need a moment to steady ourselves while processing the shock. In the article, the nearest we get to a damning example of racial “bias” is one question in one version of one Liberal Arts test that assumes that a person planning to teach said liberal arts might be able to offer an opinion, any opinion, on a painting by Andy Warhol.
But apparently evidence isn’t actually needed, as any “disparate impact” on certain racial demographics is itself deemed “racist” and therefore illegal. A basis for fat cheques at taxpayer expense.
And so, we’re expected to believe that Mr Grim, an inarticulate man of seemingly modest intelligence, was “unfairly” denied a job as a teacher, a bringer of knowledge and understanding. Indeed, we’re supposed to believe that “a generation of students” has been “deprived” of the skills and insights of such people, and of the “benefit of having a more diverse teacher population.”
At which point, the last item in the post above comes to mind.
Well, the phrase ride out could be taken in a couple of ways…
@pst314
Expect to see a proliferation of policies designed to goad “undesirables” into suicidal thoughts. If you are not useful to the State, the State will find ways to kill you.
And once this is established, expect to see recidivist wrongthink classified as a mental illness. An incurable (though non-fatal) illness, which brings misery to the sufferer, and heavy costs to society. This will mesh soooo nicely with the newly-established state-assisted-suicide policies for other incurable (though non-fatal) illnesses.
Just a reminder that comments with five or more links are intercepted as spam.
Terrible things, but there is hope, not every country is under control of these transhumanist tendencies. Russia has banned lgbtqr.. propaganda and before some days signed a law banning gender reassignment (except in exceptional cases).
And now, anyone who in the future wishes to benefit from the “promising technologies”, the development of which was signed in this government order signed February 2023, for the 2023-2027 programme, for 185 billion rubles, of the most key Russian Institute which is widely popular with the “peaceful atom”, won’t be able to do that to change his/her sex. The promising technologies, as you can see if you walk through the posts below, include:
Already in January 2021:
This news and partial review of the program.
(In case anyone is interested in some, almost or completely unknown in the West, things that are going on in this recently so popular country)
Indeed. Very Soviet.
I suppose it’s always more fun when some other sucker has to clean it up.

The paragraphs on the class dynamics in play may also be worth a squint.
I was particularly amused by the citation of “emotional intelligence”, as if a well balanced personality can be a substitute for the ability to solve differential equations and design complex systems. “Well, yes, the planes crash all the time, but the engineers are all happy and well adjusted.”
They wouldn’t be amused if their victims started vandalizing their property: Glue covering the dashboards of their luxury automobiles. Manure spread throughout their homes. Paint sprayed into the engines of daddy’s Gulfstream.

All you need to do is fire all the old homophobic racist experienced people and replace them with proper-think 15 year-olds with CAD computers. It’ll be FINE.
I’m trying to imagine these people in Tesco’s.
Picking up a cauliflower.
Pondering whether or not to treat themselves to that £8 bottle of Malbec.
Getting a flash of inspiration as they pass the cold meats counter to thumb a vogueish witticism about “Gammon” to their sociologists fan fiction WhatsApp group with appropriate laugh-until-you-cry emoji face.
Their entire lives as actually lived betray the fact that they don’t believe, certainly not in any real or meaningful way, the grotesque gibberish they churn out.
Possibly relevant example: Jacques Derrida abandoned his pomo theories about the impossibility of knowing what a text means, when Paul de Man’s WWII Nazi collaborationist writings were exposed.
Getting back to the lead topic, I stumbled upon this gem which may have been here before but if so, worth revisiting.
Sure, “fuck the future”, you won’t have to live in it.
Yeah, who cares what problems the offspring will have as long as you can shag your sister, amirite?
If someone can translate that, please, it is too early to start drinking.
RTWT, or at least the whole abstract. You will be surprised to learn that the author is a professor, which would explain why he is unable to write clearly and concisely, as well as his bizarre made up words and ways of knowings of the use of plurals.
Another pile of dogshit that I started pushing back on for a couple of decades now. Why was Windows XP much more easily disposed of? At least that crap was actually useful.
The term knowledges should be taken as a warning sign.
Perhaps it is time to “problematise” these “intellectuals”. Hmm? Given how deeply malevolent they are, why should we be expected to tolerate them?
By the sound of him, he’s just not very smart.
Perhaps it is time to “problematise” these “intellectuals”.
Yeah, well, that is just like your theorisations, man.
I don’t wish to be unkind, or unfair, but he doesn’t exactly scream educator material. And that’s the thing. To avoid so-called “disparate impact,” you’d have to lower standards a hell of a lot. To an extent that the thing you’re ostensibly trying to ‘fix’ would pretty much become worthless, a farce.
The last item here, the interview with Amy Wax, seems apposite. Ditto many of the links thereafter. Also this.
I’d imagine the selfishness and resentment, the general unpleasantness, are likely to be sincere, a reflection of who they are. How it gets tarted up for publication is another matter.
From the peer-reviewed scholarly journal Sexuality & Culture.
Where “scholarly” means “corrupt” and “fraudulent” while “peer reviewed” means “other malevolent monsters”.
Knowing De Man as a name only, I hadn’t heard that before, but as you say:
Not as relevant, but quite interesting nonetheless for his sheer audacity as a fraudster:
But anyway:
Heh. Over the target, I think.
The desire for “normal foetal outcomes,” according to the authors, is rooted in a problematic desire “to protect their offspring from becoming anything other than ‘normal’” and “reflect historical and ongoing social practices for creating ‘ideal’ and normative bodies.”
To return to this: if they think the only kind of “not normal” is trans or gay, they are so so wrong. All sorts of defects are possible when you mess with a growing fetus. A damaged baby can be in pain and difficulty for life, need dozens of surgeries, and be horrific to care for. Just what narcissist parents are going to be ideal at caring for (sarc in case you can’t tell)
Lowering standards: at my bank, I needed to close the savings and not the checking. The diversity hire lady did the opposite which left my daughter with $0 in her checking. At a different bank, the diversity hire just needed to add me as a signer and remove the old person for our church group. It took three trips to the bank and a total of 2 hours to do this 10 minute task. This crap is not without consequences. Not even counting monumental screwups like Kamala.
It went far beyond “tried to interpret”: Derrida insisted that his interpretation was the only legitimate one, and that accusations of Nazi collaboration by de Man were illegitimate. This demonstrated that Derrida’s advocacy of postmodernism was hypocritical and dishonest. But you cannot expect anything better than dishonesty from Marxists; postmodernism is merely one more weapon with which Marxists attempt to destroy our society.
Somewhat related:
Note the appeal to “equity.”
Yes, well, it’s not like there’s much being done to stop them.
It may be different close up but from this remove it seems British governance is organised around catering to the anti-social and sticking the rest of the populace with the bill.
Not that we aren’t doing much the same in many of our own metropolitan areas.
A good account of the de Man scandal is Signs of the Times: Deconstruction and the Fall of Paul de Man by David Lehman.
The bien pensants are realising Huxley.
That’s not an impediment in modern education.
It might even be career-enhancing.
The end result?
Just trying to map out the layers of cruelty would take all day.
First comes the cruelty of teaching young women to hate their bodies, to fear the perfectly natural changes that humans, a sexually dimorphic species, is cruel.
Add to that the painful and twisted surgeries they convince people to seek as a way of punishing their bodies for betraying them by growing up. As, for example, Ellen Page.
Now add the layer of encouraging women who have undergone these procedures to still seek a pregnancy, which flies against the hormonal treatments they are subjecting themselves to.
And then finally we arrive at the child. These people play upon our sympathies for people who have been born with disfigurements, and our desire to treat them as equals before the law. They would shame us for not normalizing the deliberate disfigurement of children. After all, they had already done it by us deliberately disfiguring the mothers, some of whom were still children when they started these experiments upon them.
And if the mother, who is twisted into thinking she is a father, hates the idea of having a disfigured child, whom she has disfigured by her own actions (and do not forget, we must be shamed for having an idea of normalized, healthy children as an ideal we should seek), we would encourage her to abort the baby. And then we would celebrate the abortion, shouting our abortions to the hills in delight and joy and forcing people to make cakes and T-shirts.
And then, having celebrated, the woman must live with the grief and shame of having either murdered her unborn child, or having deliberately created the conditions under which the child would be damaged, his or her life ruined, life chances diminished.
“ableism”: making it an ism is to presume that there is discrimination involved, oppression. The fact that a blind person simply cannot drive a car is not due to oppression but due to reality. Yes, it is a disadvantage being blind but NOT because people are oppressing you. There are jobs that are physically demanding. You cannot be a roofer if you are afraid of heights or have chronic balance problems. Old people cannot lift heavy things. The solution is not to cry about “isms” but to find a way around the problem. I have known blind people who finished law school, who take the bus. Is it hard? Yes. Life is hard in one way or another for most people. Get over it.
Old people cannot lift heavy things.

Sooner or later, everyone comes around to the idea of patriarchy. Ladies, take note: I’m accustomed to being the resident paleomisogynist but when this many regulars are echoing the “taking women seriously was a fatal mistake” refrain, your sex has a serious problem. A Scott Adams video can’t be far behind.
