Beneath The Planet Of The Bedlamites
This is the cost of talking to white people at all. The cost of your own life, as they suck you dry. There are no good apples out there. White people make my blood boil… I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a fucking favour.
A dementedly racist woman, Aruna Khilanani, a woman who happily shares her fantasies of killing random white people, is invited to Yale to lecture the young and credulous.
She’s a psychiatrist, by the way, presumably with paying patients.
Note that if you challenge Ms Khilanani’s incoherent rambling, or her wildly arrogant generalisations, or her evasiveness and disregard for actual evidence, this is because you are “defensive,” being white, and are therefore “unable” to process her deep and radical wisdom. Including her conviction that “white people don’t eat bread.”
Her talk, we’re assured, was “very well received.”
Update, via the comments:
Ms Khilanani is eager for the world to understand that she is a thinker, an intellectual. In large, bold letters, we’re told that,
I may be one of the only [sic] psychiatrists in the country that has a Masters level body of knowledge in theory on marginalised identities… I majored in English at the University of Michigan, and completed a Masters of Humanities at the University of Chicago focusing [sic] gender theory, race theory, African American Studies, Embodiment, Post Colonialism, Sexuality, queer theory, Culture, South Asian Studies, and Marxism.
Grammar and proof-reading are not, one assumes, among Ms Khilanani’s many, many areas of focus and expertise. And curiously, the result of all this fierce rumination is a woman who struggles to support, or sustain, any kind of argument, and who appears unable to think in straight lines, such that one thing follows from another. Evidence is reliably absent, as is logical connective tissue. Instead, we get a series of bald assertions, quite a lot of blathering and deflection, and unrelated fragments of what can only be described as a bizarre conspiracy theory. We’re told, for instance, that expectations of racial reciprocity, mutual civility, would be a “false equivalence,” though why remains unclear, beyond the claim that white people are inherently defective, are “psychologically dependent on black rage,” and “have five holes in their brain.”
I’ve seen this before: foreign-based sites that pretend to be otherwise, scraping news from foreign sites and making money from ad revenue.
I’ve noticed a lot of that recently. 🙁
I now think much better of Victorian society- they at least made you pay to gawp at lunatics, rather than giving it away free…
Thanks. Interesting. Not that it surprises me but as I said, it was on the first page of links when I googled “Yale University” from the google news page. It still doesn’t make much sense. If you’re savvy enough, out of all the potential news sites and searches in the world, to get your link that high in the google hit list, you’d think you could put together some degree of viable text, auto translated or not. Of course there’s the possibility that google is suppressing so much information that the lexically incoherent has a better probability of getting through the filters…naaaaah. That’s crazy talk.
Then isn’t the solution for blacks to sabotage all the ytes by ceasing to be enraged, thus depriving us of something we depend on, and thereby depriving us of a needed ‘psychological support?’ I would expect the end of yte supremacy by next Tuesday, at the latest.
The Glorious World of Next Tuesday!

You mean a company gets so powerful that its thinking ossifies and loses sight of what made it successful in the first place?
The Czech Museum of Communism which has People’s Cube style satiric post cards in their souvenir shop.

Plausible. When the Google search engine first appeared, I did not dream that the people at Google would end up manipulating results for their own political purposes.
How much did those universities charge in fees for their fake degrees? Almost makes you understand why she wants reparations. At one level, she realises they have robbed her of money and a worthwhile life.
“We should remember that NPR (National Public Radio) used to be the National Educational Radio Network: government subsidized broadcasts of educational and cultural programs that the commercial networks were uninterested in because they would not be profitable. Bringing symphony orchestra broadcasts and talks on history and science to the entire populace…”
Here’s the thing, though: NBC was already doing that in the 1930s. Back before WWII, NBC had two radio networks: the “Red” and the “Blue”. The Red network was the mainstream, commercial, one, while the Blue network was where they tried out shows yet to find a sponsor, and – importantly – those which they felt couldn’t, such as, oh, symphony orchestra broadcasts and talks on history and science.
Of course, the
smartarsesgovernment decided that the extravagance of owning two networks was monopolistic behaviour (CBS and Mutual’s successes notwithstanding), and forced NBC to divest the Blue. It ultimately became ABC, which, of course, having to sustain itself without the Red network’s subsidy, ended up as a mainstream commercial network just like the others. However, if you go twenty or thirty years further back in history, you find that previous governmental smartarses had waived antitrust and other regulations (and indulged in some fairly shady shenanigans involving patent law) in order to set NBC up as the National Broadcasting Company, with the intention of it being something like an American BBC.
It’s not hard to come to the conclusion that the chief business of government is solving problems of its own creation.

I did not know about that, or forgot long ago.

And creating new problems. And perverting everything that is good.
Forensic Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst with expertise in violence and racism.
And here I was thinking it was knowledge expertise.
I think you just described those Different Ways of Knowing that they keep blathering on about.
What’s interesting isn’t so much the gleeful bigotry, which is pretty routine among such creatures, as the reception it meets with. You have to wonder why nobody present – none of the self-imagined intellectuals, our would-be elite – offered any serious pushback to the racist content, and why nobody laughed at the farcical quality of the lecture. An incompetent grifter was among them, being about as racist as a person could be, and… they indulged her, they deferred. Are we to believe that the students all agreed with Ms Khilanani, or were they just reluctant to speak up? And if the latter, what, exactly, were they afraid of?
… what, exactly, were they afraid of?
In news that will no doubt shock everyone around here, it seems that while the tactics of the latter-day Storm Detachment are crude, they are not altogether unsuccessful:
“We’re standing here telling you you’re being racist, you’re being offensive … why can’t you say sorry?”
“Fuck white fragility! Fuck white fragility! … Fuck Jordan Peterson! Fuck Jordan Peterson!“
“Nazis and White Supremacists assaulting people at your protest – do you have any comment on that? … Are there views in alignment with yours?”
“Charles Murray, go away! Racist! Sexist! Anti-Gay!”
All the more so when this Sturmabteilung, much like their predecessors, have friends in high places condoning or even endorsing the same:
“Be careful. Walk lightly. We ain’t playin’ with you.”
“My intention was, to basically be an analysis of whiteness as a political ideology, as a structural power”
“Racism is in the DNA of this system and no reform or no legislation can change that. Nothing short of Revolution can bring freedom”
“Charles Murray, go away! Racist! Sexist! Anti-Gay!”
For those who missed it.

True. But even upstream from that, and this is often what I find myself pondering about these sorts of things as well is how does such a thing happen in the first place? This isn’t the a meeting of the Village Green Preservation Society, it’s bloody Yale. Who asked her to speak there? Why? Who verified her credentials? Is such a thing decided by the whims of just one person? She doesn’t seem in any way extraordinarily in a positive sense anyway. And the audience as well. I get that most people might just be going along to get along but out of a large group of attendees, people to whom presumably value their time (heh) nobody raised an eyebrow beforehand?
You have to wonder why nobody present – none of the self-imagined intellectuals, our would-be elite – offered any serious pushback to the racist content…
I have become convinced that academia is almost entirely run by leftists who see “anti-racism” as a useful too to destroy us. Most of those leftists are white, but they believe that because they will be immune because they will be part of the ruling class/nomenklatura. And then there are the academics who go along even though they have misgivings because they don’t want to endanger their jobs. Better to quietly let the Stalinists create a terror state than to be demoted or fired. And what’s more, most of those cowards half agree with the Stalinists.
That was supposed to be “useful tool“. Argh.

I don’t know what the state of things in in the UK, in academia and elsewhere, but in the US with BLM and Obama and Biden both leading the charge that the US is a horrible awful racist place, with large corporations jumping on the bandwagon along with all major sports, the media leading the slavering Twitter mob ready to pounce, they are afraid of disagreeing for the sake of their jobs and their livelihoods. The students – they are young and spoiled parasites who’ve been marinating in this all their lives, so I would say a great many of them do actually agree. Heck – students were the leaders of many of Mao’s struggle sessions – they were worse than the adults. The university administration are all spineless sheep that jump on the “we’re so horrible” bandwagon and prostrate themselves before whatever victim group is currently in fashion. Right now it’s the BIPOC BAME but with June being pride month, the gay and trans and all the other flags of specialness are trying to get some attention. So the BIPOC BAME are getting even louder and crazier.
Full disclosure I do research at a university in the US, and sorry, WTP, but I keep my mouth shut and myself firmly in the closet because I need the job. Academia is a toxic mess, even on the science and engineering side. Clown Quarter sounds too innocuous. Mao’s Great Leap Forward is more like it.
Most of the work we do is because of the work we do.

Here we are eating less so all those brown people won’t have to fight and kill for grain and that’s all the thanks we get?
What an ingrate

And not a single science course in the lot. So you don’t need to have a foundation in scientific methodology to be a doc? Explains a whole f’n lot…
I’m guessing she performs Critical Therapy, like Amy Cooper (the Central Park racist) got. https://nypost.com/2021/02/16/charges-against-central-park-karen-amy-cooper-dismissed/

Job vs soul. Job vs soul.

I guess you won’t think about this specific crap prior to that spiral into the final darkness; I always wonder what will occupy my mind at the last shutdown. Needless to say, a double middle-finger salute with matching words is always applicable to me in almost any context.)
