The Lockdown Diaries (9)
Or, His Neck Finally Buckled Under The Weight Of His Hair.
Let us share links and bicker. I’ll set the ball rolling, via Noah Carl, with an ingenious solution.
As some of you may be shopping from home a little more than usual, please bear in mind that any Amazon UK shopping done via this link or the search widget top right, or for Amazon US via this link, results in a small fee for your host at no extra cost to you.
It does help to keep this place here.
Update: Today’s saucy topics include crime and punishment.
For those in need of further diversion, the Reheated series is there to be poked at.
“Look to the sky” 😀

Finally!
Every Fule know that electrolytes is what plants crave.
SCIENCE Y’ALL!
Finally!
I’m not sure I’d want Facebook as the arbiter of reality.
I’m not sure I’d want Facebook as the arbiter of reality.
What are you, some kind of commie?
It’s a bit quiet today. Is everyone pretending to work?
This is what I do when I’m pretending to work.
This is what I do when I’m pretending to work.
Heh. Well, the peaks of this blog’s incoming traffic are usually during office hours. I suspect I’m some very tiny, but not-quite-zero, drain on global productivity.

Well, it’s good to have goals 😉
Facebook as the arbiter of reality
Speaking of hating on Facebook, and God knows I do, I’m still bemused by the Lame Stream Media’s performative horror that Facebook is standing up to the Australian government’s demanding they pay to post news links. By stopping posting news links.
How dare these corrupt, degenerate “journalists” make me side with Facebook?
Well, it’s good to have goals 😉
Not quite the kind of super-villainy I had in mind.
It’s a bit quiet today.
It is a bit quiet. I know that Boris, our Clown Minister made some kind of announcement yesterday. Did I miss the requirement that everyone should hide in a cupboard until they got vaccinated?
That wasn’t on my list of ludicrous COVID demands, so I’ll be irritated if so.
“I’m hip, I’m with it”, don’t click this if you have recently eaten.
It’s a bit quiet today.
Oh, you really don’t want to get me started…
It’s a bit quiet today. Is everyone pretending to work?
I haven’t gotten beyond pretending to be awake.
I know that Boris, our Clown Minister made some kind of announcement yesterday.
I gather I’ll be able to get a haircut sometime before summer, possibly. Which is thrilling.
[ Strokes voluminous mane. ]
Update to yesterday’s comment about the dindu who murdered two people at a New Orleans area gun shop:
The police have released edited security camera videos which show the rampage. Also here and here. Presumably unedited video will be released later. I wonder if his grieving mama will now switch from “he was murdered” to “he was disrespected”.
“he was murdered” to “he was disrespected”.
You left out “colledge studant” and “asspiring Rap Staaaah” and used a sex specific pronoun.
Your sins have been noted, tvarish…
A happy ending: Shop worker slashes knife wielding thug with huge machete:
“A knife wielding thug who terrorised a newsagents was slashed by a shop worker with a large machete. Convicted robber Jason Franey demanded £20,000…threatened to burn down his shop, to ‘get’ his son after school, and to knife both him and worker Abdullah Hussein. But when Franey returned and attacked Mr Hussein, he defended himself with a large blade hidden under a counter… the crook…has been left unable to sleep at night in jail because of his ‘trauma’.“
anon a mouse: I confess. I confess. I proudly confess.
How dare these corrupt, degenerate “journalists” make me side with Facebook?
I know, right?
Watching soi-disant conservatives act exactly like business-hating liberals now that it’s their ox being gored has been enlightening.
Speaking of Big Tech, if you’re using the Brave browser let David know; there’s a program run by Brave where if you let them pester you with ads for obscure cryptocurrencies you can earn credit that can be donated to your favorite site. Like David.
the crook… has been left unable to sleep at night in jail because of his ‘trauma’.
There’s something profoundly wrong about the fact that a knife-wielding sociopath can have 28 previous convictions for 70 offences and still not be dead.
…don’t click this if you have recently eaten.
If it actually happened then I hope they both die in a goddamn fire.

Or at least have been sentenced much earlier in his “career” to natural life. Blogger PC David Copperfield was writing about leniency back in the early 2000’s.

It happens all the time here, in the inner cities, although usually the perp is an aspiring rap star or basketball player, and on his way to college. I’m shocked this guy is white and his target was BAME and there was no mention (in the excerpt anyways) of Hate Crime(TM). I would have thought they’d have thrown the book at him, called him a White Supremacist and hanged him already. Or maybe his previous 70 offenses were against white people. Or maybe the cops were too busy policing twit threads and driving around in the Diversity Van to care about actual violent crime.

Theodore Dalrymple has written about the UK criminal classes, noting that there is no shortage of white criminals and white lowlifes. (This does not contradict the fact that half of knife crimes are committed by blacks–or is it more? I forget.)
28 previous convictions for 70 offences and still not be dead
Don’t buy firearms for personal protection Brits, that would be soooooo ugly American. I mean, you might as well drive pick ups and forget to put U’s in all your words, amiright?
If it actually happened then I hope they both die in a goddamn fire.
What Squires said.
I believe Dalrymple also sees that criminality as essentially pathological – and that perceiving (and treating) it’s perps as Jean Valjeans as equally so.

As noted here, at some point one has to ask exactly how many degraded innocent lives, and how much social degradation in general, the continued existence of an aggressive and incorrigible sociopath is worth.
Not a big number, I would say.

Once they defund the police, or more likely discourage every policeman willing to do the job of containing these sociopaths out of the force, they will need these sociopaths to enforce the new rules. Same with our military. The sociopaths and our ‘betters’ are on the same team.

The linked news article, surprisingly, gives just enough information to understand what was actually going on. Either it was a protection racket or loan sharking. Since there’s no outrage about yte mob bosses shaking down innocent immigrants heroically trying to make a living in a new land, it’s loan sharking, and delving too deeply into why a BAME immigrant might have needed £20,000 untraceably and with no collateral is something we’re not allowed to do.
If logic and consistency can be found in our current rulers’ actions (and I’m far from convinced it can) then an explanation that fits what facts we see is this: to keep us divided they need constant infighting. To facilitate the infighting they promote the worst people and aspects of our society in order to
(1) purposefully humiliate good people who’d otherwise voice and support obvious and sane solutions and
(2) ensure the target of good peoples’ wrath is fuckwits like McStabby upthread or Saint George and not the rulers themselves.
The the whole motley crew of useful idiot enforcers differ in exactly why they’ve converted to the rulers’ religion but they all think they’ll have a piece of that power. The result is the denigration of everything and everyone who could pose a threat to this order, and intentional promotion of the ugly, vapid, and stupid parts of our culture that already existed.
Not unlike tactics in a prison camp.
As noted here

I used to be amazed at the speed with which David could find and link relevant old posts, until I found this photo of a henchlesbian in the main control room of the Compile-O-Mat 9000. I understand it is two levels below the correction booths in the Cultural Enlightenment Centre.
Modern machinery then distributes the links to the appropriate new posts.
I used to be amazed at the speed with which David could find and link relevant old posts…
Used to be? I was hoping to coast on the illusion of brilliance.
the Compile-O-Mat 9000
I worked in a retail store warehouse that had that exact vacuum tube system. Except with the latest 1980’s technological upgrade where, when a tube came down the chute, the tube would break a light beam and a bell would go off. If a second tube backed up on top of the first tube, the bell would continue to ring. Good times, good times…well, relative to life in general right now.
If logic and consistency can be found in our current rulers’ actions…
As is the case with much of the subject matter David brings to our attention, a certain old line comes to mind:
“War against the unbeliever until they submit in willing humiliation.”
I was hoping to coast on the illusion of brilliance.
I have long been convinced that you have your own Mycroft Holmes.
Don’t buy firearms for personal protection Brits, that would be soooooo ugly American.
I don’t think they’re allowed to, tbf. I thought they had laws against gun ownership like Chicago and Washington DC. Britain and European countries get held over our ugly American heads as models of low gun crime, which may be true, but Britain has enough of a knife crime problem that they’re banning knives now (or trying to). So banning guns didn’t stop the crimes or the killings, the criminals just used a different weapon. And I think in some places in the UK or Europe, you the citizen get in trouble if you defend yourself and hurt the criminal.
at some point one has to ask exactly how many degraded innocent lives, and how much social degradation in general, the continued existence of an aggressive and incorrigible sociopath is worth.
As many as it takes. Our respective countries have taken to glorifying and protecting the criminals that serve their purposes and the Narrative, our lives be damned. I’m pretty sure the UK has its equivalent of Saint George Floyd. Floyd wasn’t the first, and he won’t be the last. You and I and all the other innocent lives out there – we’re just collateral damage.
And I think in some places in the UK or Europe, you the citizen get in trouble if you defend yourself and hurt the criminal.
In what is supposedly the Wild West of Texas you WILL be arrested for shooting someone in self-defense, and though many jurisdictions will likely find a “good shooter” innocent many will not, and in any case the process is quite punishing. And you will most certainly be sued in civil court by Johnny Dirtbag’s family. Luckily there’s insurance for such things.
Having said all that, I’ll take bankruptcy and prison over harm to my children if those are my only choices.
at some point one has to ask exactly how many degraded innocent lives, and how much social degradation in general, the continued existence of an aggressive and incorrigible sociopath is worth.
This. One of the many ironies that currently abound is how predictably our lefty friends – who otherwise seem to have never met a collectivist ‘solution’ they didn’t reflexively promote – get all archly individualist when it comes to defending the herd from cancers like this guy.
I have long been convinced that you have your own Mycroft Holmes.
Heh.
[ Exudes air of intrigue. A pipe is lit. ]
As noted here,
This, from the comments, bears some repeating.
And via that, this, by Theodore Dalrymple:
Bugger. Fallen down one of my own rabbit holes.
And via that, this seems apposite too.
Someone lower down a rope.
Blaming a predator’s actions on ‘poverty’ is also a convenient way to distract from the muc more pertinent contributions of family breakdown and cultural degeneracy.
this seems apposite too.
Well that sent me down a rabbit hole. Some hal-on-minnow action.
“Don’t buy firearms for personal protection …” in Australia too.
Some years ago a farmer in NSW displayed [not aimed at] an unloaded .22 rifle to a thug carrying a weapon who was at his front door making threats. The thug scarpered. Later the Police, having dealt with the thug, who had also threatened other neighbours, confiscated the rifle and banned the farmer from keeping and using firearms. Eventually their decision was over-turned, but not until there had been much legal discussion and action at the highest ministerial level. I have a large number of rifles, but they will not be taken from their locked safes in the event of a home intrusion, if only because it would take too long in a crisis. Instead there is a range of old axe handles and similar club-like items carefully placed around my farm that might be used if needed.
Later the Police, having dealt with the thug, who had also threatened other neighbours, confiscated the rifle and banned the farmer from keeping and using firearms.
Would it be wrong of me to wish the politicians and senior police commanders who make policy to be the victims of vicious crimes? And for this to keep happening until they figure out that citizens have a moral right to defend themselves?
Well that sent me down a rabbit hole. Some hal-on-minnow action.
From 2014. Just think, I’d been fruitlessly attempting to argue with Hal for at least 6 years. Glad they’re both gone.
[ Emerges from rabbit hole, slightly dishevelled, torch in hand. ]
Quite peckish now.
