Zombie Movie
Jordan Peterson tries to speak at Grant Hall, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Monday, March 5:
Meanwhile, outside the hall, the woke-lings feel good about themselves:
I’m told they’re attracted by the smell of brains.
Update:
Another scene from inside the venue. Amid the shrieking and psychodrama, note the spraying of the audience.
“That’s pure narcissism at work, by the way.”
Meanwhile, outside the hall, the woke-lings feel good about themselves:
Symbolism!
The besieged security guy looks like he’s on the verge of a panic attack. Good thing the woke-lings are all about the feelings.
Symbolism!
Well, quite. And there’s something oddly symbolic about the whole scenario, which calls to mind any number of low-budget horror films. And apparently, via reasoning that isn’t clear, Professor Peterson is a “white supremacist.” Which may come as something of a surprise to anyone familiar with his work.
The bacchantes are coming for Orpheus.
Hooligans.
The besieged security guy looks like he’s on the verge of a panic attack. Good thing the woke-lings are all about the feelings.
Only their own.
Only their own.
Imagine the – dare I say it – privilege of assuming that you’re entitled to behave in this way, to harass other people, and slander them, and to gleefully spoil their attempts to hear an invited speaker and maybe ask him questions. Say, by invading the stage, screaming inanities and hammering on stained glass windows. All while knowing bugger all about the person whose presence you’re supposedly offended by. And to do all this with impunity, knowing you won’t get punished or expelled.
If that isn’t privilege, I’m not sure what is.
Although the, as yet, mythical “backlash” is used as a tool to further the aims of the narrative in suppressing debate I have the profound sense that a backlash will truly occur in the not too distant future.
And like a light-switch the pressure will build and build until the switch-spring suddenly flips over.
It’ll also probably take a (seemingly) small triggering event….
Decent people have had enough…
“Boo. Get off the stage.”
What are the odds of those soyboy male-feminists hammering on the door while looking desperately for approval at their feminist overlords (overladies?), being accused of rape or sexual assault by one or more of the objects of their desire?
When did parents stop spanking their kids?
When did parents stop spanking their kids?
There’s still time.

“No fascists on campus,” said the balaclava-wearing thugs.
And as seen in the previous thread, fearless, selfless woke-lings disrupt a lecture by noted “fascist” Christina Hoff Sommers.
It’s like someone put concentrated morony in the water.

The backlash that’s just about to happen that I was writing about 15 years ago. Still waiting… (Actually, there have been backlashs, the Tea Party, Brexit, Trump, etc. But more is needed, and there won’t be any backlash on the campus).
Aye Hector. I see your point. Well that’s modern edukashun for you….

Did you notice that one of the zombies is wearing a Queen’s Law sweatshirt. It might not be hers, but if it is it speaks volumes about the influence her “education” is having on her conduct.
Peterson’s experience is not the first time. Back in the early ’90s, I went to hear Preston Manning speak in Grant Hall. We had to push our way through the mob to get into the building and, during the talk, the mob began pounding on the outside walls and shouting in an attempt to drown out any discussion inside. The police had to escort us out when Manning had finished speaking. No action was taken against the mob, even when they started pushing and shoving police officers.
Of course, the cowards in the University administration, including the Principal, never said a word about this behaviour or discussed what freedom of speech or thought actually means to a university.
“Boo. Get off the stage.”
Nice to see these young ladies have found an outlet for their arts and crafts enthusiasm.
Is it wrong to wish that these LARPing anti-fascists could go back in time to encounter some real fascists, instead of the imaginary ones they create out of whole cloth?

I wonder how that would turn out?
I wonder how that would turn out?

What?
Or, put another way.

It’s Godfrey Elfwick.
Heh.
I wonder how that would turn out?
Oh come on. His sign has a decorative border and everything. It’s hardcore.
It’s Godfrey Elfwick.
RIP Godfrey. Xir was an inspiration to us all….
RIP Godfrey.
Fear not, Jonathan, ze has been reanimated.
Undoubtedly, some of the cohort above are the pure thugs, who would care why people were engaged in fisticuffs or vandalism, as long as they have an opportunity to drink a few pints and join in. In other words, they’re indistinguishable from a couple of plane-loads of English football fans in Brussels.
I would imagine most are those very young, very ignorant, yet serious, furrowed-browed students who’ve been told by some worthy that a “bad person” is afoot and must be stopped. For them, it doesn’t matter whether the “cause” is Jordan Peterson’s philosophy or “Liberate Petsamo” as long as someone with tenure has assured them of “woke indulgences” if they participate with appropriate vigor.
The most dangerous sub-cohort is the smallest. In fact, most of them were probably not in attendance or were safely inconspicuous on the sidelines somewhere. These are the instigators who know full-well that Jordan Peterson is not what they claim he is, but nonetheless use him to foment anger and resentment as a means of attaining power. Simply, they are the head of the snake.
You can thrash the members of the first two groups all you want, but until the last group is destroyed, the problem will continue to surface again and again, I fear.

You’re right. The people controlling all this are the really dangerous ones. Most antifa on the ground are just impressionable know-nothings.
The ‘Long March Through the Institutions’ that Gramsci called for has been eminently successful.
You can thrash the members of the first two groups all you want, but until the last group is destroyed, the problem will continue to surface again and again, I fear.
Not just the organizers, but the teachers and professors who indoctrinate the kids.
Or, put another way.
Actual LOL.
Fucked up the HTML. Sorry ’bout that.

I don’t know if this is his work, but it’s funny as hell: https://twitter.com/RealElfwick/status/970994648234807296

I know there have been a couple of imposters, but this has been re-tweeted by Lisa, so I’m guessing it’s xe returned to save us. Like Gandalf. Out of The Lord of the Rings. But better. Obviously.
And as we speak, the University Administration is preparing dozens of suspension and eviction/trespass notices, right?
“The people controlling all this are the really dangerous ones.”
Not as dangerous as the ones who will do nothing about it.
You can thrash the members of the first two groups all you want, but until the last group is destroyed, the problem will continue to surface again and again, I fear.
However, the Clausewitzian schwerpunkt is almost always the will to fight, and if you can defeat the will of the pool of recruits (neither the yobs nor snowflakes have the true fervor of jihadis) by repeatedly and without mercy showing them they will be metaphorically and/or literally pounded into the ground like circus tent pegs, the nidus of infection will become nothing more than a faculty lounge of antediluvian hippies kvetching about capitalism from their six figure sinecures.
You can thrash the members of the first two groups all you want, but until the last group is destroyed, the problem will continue to surface again and again, I fear.
Not that this comment needs to be acknowledged and appreciated yet one more time, but…yes it does. The mao-lings, while not completely innocent, are not the problem themselves. It’s whom we pay to educate them. These clowns, the educators I mean, are working mostly off of our tax dollars. We work to support this crap. This needs to stop. It needs to be exposed and mocked more publicly, not just on blogs. Very few people truly understand what is going on. I know quite a few folks who are sending their children to college who still don’t grasp the depth of the problem, some that the problem even exists. Or how deep it has seeped into our primary education systems. Not just the public schools but the private and religious prep schools as well.
I know there have been a couple of imposters, but this has been re-tweeted by Lisa…
“And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Elfwick]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.[Rather, rely ye on the Retweets of Lisa]*”– Gospel of St. Luke, Chapter 21, verse 8 (KJV).
*Bracketed portions omitted from some translations.
Some of the chants heard during the various videos:
It’s all getting a bit random.

I could write a 3000 word reply to this comment, but then David’s spam filter would upchuck and die. Then he’d put a contract out on me with the henchlesbians. So, let me just say, “Spot-on.” I would only add that I’ve gone through the college selection process twice with the elder two progeny and now with the youngest. It necessitates involvement, most importantly in simply saying, “I will not pay a single cent to help you attend ‘SJW University.'” It’s amazing what control of the checkbook can accomplish.
Some of the chants heard during the various videos
A bit different from when I attended college, when we held a peaceful and silent vigil following the decision of The Heidelberg to eliminate “Dollar Pitcher Thursdays.” Sadly, it didn’t work. But we were able to save the fifty cent rail shots, so “Power to the people!”
*Raises clenched fist*
You can thrash the members of the first two groups all you want, but until the last group is destroyed, the problem will continue to surface again and again, I fear.
You get at that group by attacking their funding. Go after the money. When you de-fund the Chair For Diversity Studies, professor Blowhard has to get himself a day-job.
Symbolism!
I think it bears repeating that in the first video, inside the venue, Peterson is encouraging students to think for themselves and to articulate their ideas carefully, while a mob of poseurs, morons and overindulged narcissists is regurgitating slogans, blowing air horns, and hammering on the doors and windows.
For one party, it’s not a good look. But it is a telling contrast.
[ Edited. ]
It’s not a good look.
Maybe not but, so far, it has been remarkably effective.
Apparently, one of the more obnoxious participants at the Peterson protest is a student named Jonathan Shepherd, a member of the university’s socialist group and a self-styled devotee of “class war,” and who has a history of pseudo-radical LARPing and threatening behaviour.
“I’m told they’re attracted by the smell of brains.”

The Frogman called it years ago:
Farnsworth,
… repeatedly and without mercy showing them they will be metaphorically and/or literally pounded into the ground like circus tent pegs
I just had an amusing vision of bemasked Antifa soy-boys fleeing in terror from a couple of circus strongmen carrying giant wooden mallets. 😀
I often point out that much of this foolishness happens at third-tier Canadian universities in backwoods (sometimes literally) areas, where academic standards are risible at best.
Queens is a top-tier Canadian university. It is one of the top three law universities in Canada. We’re doomed.
It’s not a good look.
Maybe not but, so far, it has been remarkably effective.
As David’s co-blogger Kate likes to point out, not showing up to riot is a failed conservative policy. It’s becoming increasingly obvious that calm, rational philosophical debate is not useful in this ideological war. As depressing and disturbing as it is to contemplate, I fear the Pinochet Solution is the only way back from this. The Japanese Option (order all universities to cease teaching any non-STEM subjects) isn’t feasible.
