Don’t Even Think It
These are moves of power, not moves of reason.
Filmmaker Rob Montz visits Yale, where the Clown Quarter’s trademark psychodrama has alarming influence:
Mr Montz previously visited Brown University, his alma mater. And for those who may have missed it, Evan Coyne Maloney’s documentary Indoctrinate U was released almost a decade ago. Evidently, things have not improved.

It’s interesting how the reaction seems almost Pavlovian and impervious to humour or any kind of nuance, and so the obvious irony escapes him. And we see this repeatedly, a kind of mental dulling. It’s as if they’re all just continually scanning for any trigger word – any pretext, however slim and absurd – to begin shrieking with indignation. The impression given is of something profoundly neurotic.
The “consumer mentality” mentioned is exacerbated by the changing demographics. Simply put, there are two many college billets and not enough students. The administrative bloat needs tuition paying bodies to maintain itself, all financed by student loans. Is it any wonder that the inmates/”customers” are now running the asylum?

I’m sure he was setting female SJW hearts aflutter right up until that final squeal.
“He squeaked in rage” doesn’t quite work out for guys.
BTW, I saw The Screaming Dickheads open for A Flock of Seagulls in 1986 in Cut Bank, Montana.
“there are two many college billets…”
For pointing that out:
‘As a queer woman of colour, you should NOT think this way’.
Kill it with fire.
Kill it with fire.
Ah, but this is a sophisticated kind of racial essentialism. You see, telling brown people which opinions they’re permitted to have is now a progressive innovation, indeed an imperative.
How far we’ve come.
When a company loses its way in the corporate world then sales and profits suffer, and better, fitter companies take its place.
One can only hope that these bastions of anti-intellectualism suffer the same fate, and that institutions more dedicated to proper education supersede them.
@PiperPaul
David needs to break out the Spellcheck-O-Matic Chastiser, followed by the Shame Carousel for that mistake.
*Slinks off into “Bolivian.”*.
What misrtake?
@10:10… Holy crap.
@10:10… Holy crap.
Yes, there’s a lot going on in the crowd, and none of it becoming. It’s a weird mix of hysteria and malevolence. In effect, it’s a usurpation.
And as demonstrated by the screaming and insults – and the in-your-face posturing around 3:40 by the black chappie with glasses, Mr Look-At-Me – they feel quite confident. They evidently don’t expect to face any of the traditional consequences for such behaviour.
PiperPaul,
Oh gawd, here we go again… >_<

Janice Fiamengo is back. The section around 13:55, about misplaced expectations, seems apposite.
In breaking news… Shia LaBoeuf just doesn’t learn:
4Chan strikes again! In Liverpool of all places.
Mr. La Beouf is still wrestling with not only the international nature of trolldom, but also the extent to which he has cultivated the attention of a specifically troll variety of activism and not mere Lord Trump-directed DA NAZIS, the technical profiencies and spare time on tap, and the extent to which his flailing has resembled the mewing of a wounded animal to such types.
All this from a man who should be already aware he has a hatedom outside of politics, even.
*prepares more popcorn*

The witless rage and attraction of trolls provided by other worthies in the past such as Christian Weston Chandler or “CWC” would be instructive, were he able to learn.
Also at Yale.
Also at Yale.
Why are these muppets even *at* Yale?
Affirmative Action and Title IX, Mike.
Why are these muppets even *at* Yale?
Somewhat related, it turns out we should also be fretting about the evils allegedly “embedded” in such terms as “a dark day,” “off-colour joke” and “blackmail.” All of which “perpetuate racism” and make us hate brown-skinned people, apparently.
Why are these muppets even *at* Yale?
They couldn’t get in to Harvard?
I wonder how a degenerated person like that could have reached a position of responsibility . . .
. . . . I should get around to watching that one again one of these days. The books are also quite highly recommended.

The guy who is the target of this hysteria fest, which is turning him into a quivering blob of capitulatory, estrogenic Jello, isn’t just some unknown college functionary.
He has made Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world list – above the fold.
You would expect that a normal kid would piss themselves with excitement over just being to talk with the guy, never mind maybe be able to take a class with him, and brag about it for the rest of their lives.
But the psychotic children have taken over the asylum.
I suppose one might be thankful the internet hate machine is limiting itself to playing Capture the Flag.
Blackmail because no one demands whitetail nowadays. “Give me your harvest!” Nope…
Whitemail,you stupid spellchecker.
All of which “perpetuate racism” and make us hate brown-skinned people, apparently.
“Niggardly” and “blackguard” must be stricken from the dictionary, surely. Someone contact the people at Oxford and Webster’s post haste.
“Niggardly” and “blackguard” must be stricken from the dictionary,
Oh, blackballing those are you?
Racist!!!
The guy who is the target of this hysteria fest… isn’t just some unknown college functionary.
That rather assumes an interest in both intellectual standards and common courtesy. I doubt that the crowd will have been heaving with students of engineering or mathematics or biochemistry, or people overly concerned with the frontiers of human knowledge. Judging by the language and general narcissism, the Angry Studies demographic was, however, well represented, and likewise, presumably, beneficiaries of “affirmative action.” Which is to say, people who are there under false pretences, with just enough IQ to repeat the slogans that they’ve been told will justify any feelings of inadequacy, and envy, and any subsequent resentment.
beneficiaries of “affirmative action.” Which is to say, people who are there under false pretences,
That.
That.
The irony being that “affirmative action” students who leave academia with no meaningful qualification and heavily in debt may choose to believe that their experience somehow proves how “structurally” oppressed they are and redouble any involvement in dyspeptic racial activism. But such disaffection seems more likely to be a result of being repeatedly overindulged with lowered standards and unilateral exemptions from normal consequences. Which is to say, a result of racist policies intended to benefit them, simply for being brown, regardless of their ability and behaviour, and at the expense of more deserving and capable applicants.
But registering the irony, even admitting its possibility, would be severely bruising to their egos, and is therefore unlikely.
