Weighty Matters
Via Peter Risdon and Feminist Bullshit, here’s a little something from the fat-activist blog Fierce Fatties, “home of the nouveau-bese”:
I believe it’s called projection.
The disgruntled author, “hlkolaya,” aka Heather, describes herself as,
Avant-garde, serial activist, political, fat model, and vegan baker extraordinaire.
And,
I weigh almost 300lbs and I have anorexia.
A selection of Heather’s activist ruminations, and her modelling portfolio, can be found at Fat Girl Posing.
I chalk this up to pure self-centredness.
Wow. That’s a nine on the irony meter.
Wow. That’s a nine on the irony meter.
Yes, it’s quite special.
Although svelte and gazelle-like, I find it hard to care whether someone else is chubby or not. It’s none of my business. But it’s been my experience that weighty people who regard themselves as activists, who fixate on their weight as a political cause, can often say extraordinary things. I suppose it’s rather like if two friends had spent years smoking heavily, bonding in their heretic status, and then for reasons of health one of them gave it up, leaving the other still smoking and fuming about selfishness, betrayal and the violation of her feelings.
Avant-garde, serial activist, political, fat model, and vegan baker extraordinaire.
So she’s a fat vegan? How does that work?
She’s not just fat, she’s morbidly obese. Her “friend” saw the writing on the wall and took serious steps to alleviate her own morbidity.
“Wow. That’s a nine on the irony meter.”
My meter broke long ago..!
I finally donated a tenner after a couple of years of reading (or $25 in my currency). Lousy really. Still, keep up the good work.
“I weigh almost 300lbs and I have anorexia.”
A 300lb anorexic vegan?
Lousy really.
Not lousy at all. It’s what keeps this place here. Thanks.
“So she’s a fat vegan? How does that work?”
Lots of carbs.
My friend was completely oblivious to how her actions [losing weight] could affect me at all.
I hope she considers you an ex-friend now.
And I wouldn’t mind seeing the woman who lost weight (assuming she’s not just a straw-man for the original post) write a blog post of her own talking about how self-centered the fat blogger is for not wanting her to take care of her health.
For some reason I’m finding myself reminded of The Days of Wine and Roses.
This appears to be a recurring theme with this self-obsessed nutter – from July:
Actually it is “atypical” anorexia because it doesn’t meet any known actual medical definition of anorexia, none of which include being fat, but all of which include being significantly underweight. After xer revelation of a new disease, xye goes on in a rambling screed:
Not to be excessively cynical, but evidently the eating wasn’t exactly “restrictive”, unless the restriction was from 12,000 calories/day to a mere 6,000, or she wouldn’t be 300 lbs (18 furlongs in British measurement). However…
WTF ? On the one hand, xyr claims to be proud of being the size of a piano, but on the other is pissed off because someone else lost weight, and that person is oppressing xyr because xye is stupid enough to think there is only a finite amount of phentermine or non-invasive bariatric surgery to go around ?
My favorite line for these awkward situations is “Gee, you don’t sweat much for a fat girl.”
I chalk this up to pure self-centredness.
Is there any action a person can take to protect or advance his own health which is not self-centered? Must I say a mea culpa every time I take my blood pressure medicine on the off-chance I’m making someone else with cardiovascular issues feel uncomfortable?
Let me tell you something, you aren’t entitled to your recovery when it costs me my life.
How does my eating less and exercising prevent you from, oh say, eating less and exercising?
Be fair; it would take a very large container to stuff all that crazy into, right?
“… her modelling portfolio, can be found at Fat Girl Posing.”
Er… Not today, thank you.
Basically what this boils down to is other people exist. In order for other people to exist and to keep on existing, those other people must consume food. Food that would otherwise be available to xit to stuff in xit’s pie hole.
I think it’s the “Broken porcelain doll” tat on her face that makes her look.
Crumbs Clinically Obese AND Narcissistic personality disorder. Some people are just unlucky (or have shit parents).
Oh no. I did it. My morbid curiosity got the better of me and I clicked her bloglink.
Oh FFS. She’s mental, mental, chicken oriental.
She is irredeemably fucked up. The facial tattoo is beyond self harm and into a new zone inhabited by fellow freaks such as the 100+ piercing club. As for the naked pics – for the love of god why?
But why the fuck aren’t these people being medicated and treated? Does this go back to the mass closings of mental health clinics / asylums in the 70’s / 80’s?
More likely goes back to the mental health clinics / asylums being taken over by these people. Lunacy is the new normal. Normal, well we’re not even permitted to call it that, is the new mental health problem.
The facial tattoo
I think it’s make-up.
Curious about this tattoo. Apparently she’s so fat, her pic isn’t coming through my normally sufficient band width.
The facial tattoo is beyond self harm and into a new zone inhabited by fellow freaks such as the 100+ piercing club.
For what it is worth, having also been a victim of my own curiosity, I believe the tattoo is merely paint as zyr has sported other facial themes in the past.
As for the naked pics – for the love of god why?
You are just morbidlyobeseophobic and showing your low avoirdupois privilege .
But why the fuck aren’t these people being medicated and treated? Does this go back to the mass closings of mental health clinics / asylums in the 70’s / 80’s?
In order for one to become treated one has to accept that one has a problem and seek treatment; this one meets diagnostic criteria that xye suffers from a somatiform delusion that zyr morbid obesity is the result of the oxymoronic and non-existent “fat anorexia”. Zye believes zyts size is thus not only “normal” for zyr (ignore the WTF Do You Eat which is nigh nothing but sweets), but must be accepted. Any suggestion that she seek treatment, as can be seen, is met with anger. In addition, she has, just as Bruce Jenner and that ilk does, a cheer leading squad shouting from the rafters that whatever you believe yourself to be is a) what you are, and b) normal.
Her life must be like a movie of a Flannery O’Connor book as directed by David Lynch. That demented me-me-me shtick where someone else’s losing weight is really an assault on the fat person would run the risk of being described as over-written if it cropped up in a Southern Gothic novel.
The comments following the article are a goldmine. Note the implication that “body acceptance” entails scorning as traitors people who would feel more comfortable a size or two smaller and who change their behaviour accordingly. Apparently, wishing to lose weight is being “body negative” and a symptom of “internalised fat hatred.” And doing something about one’s weight – eating less, moving more (or in extremis, having surgery) – is supposedly on a par with being “physically abusive.”
They took a concept like “body positive” which is probably good in that you aren’t obsessed over looking like a skeleton with skin and looking to get thinner and turned it into having to think that being a 300+ pound ham planet who has to take a breather turning around is a good thing?
Note the implication that “body acceptance” entails scorning as traitors people who would feel more comfortable a size or two smaller and who change their behaviour accordingly.
The fact of the matter is, for all the “fat positive” and “I’m happy being me” talk, they’re not serious. They know they have a problem; they know they cannot solve it themselves; they know they have some internal issues which prevent them from doing the most basic things to maintain their health. They cannot abide those who do seek help, because it reinforces their own subconscious view of themselves as abnormal. Imagine the reaction if this person had crappy dentition and was railing about the injustice and hatred of those who brush their teeth and floss every day.
If they were happy being themselves they wouldn’t need to blog about it.
Lots of people consider me rude. They are sometimes right. But I don’t feel the need to rail about the false imposition of courtesy standards by society. I just try to be a little less rude next time.
“I believe it’s called projection.”
Would there be any advantage to mandatory students’ pre-university exposure to Introductory Psychology and Personality Disorders, or would that actually make things even worse?
“300+ pound ham planet”
Mr. Saturn made my day!
And here’s a reply by Sharon, Heather’s excommunicated former friend.
Note Heather’s claim that “when a fat person decides that being thin is better than being fat [i.e., better for them] and actively tries to change their bodies [sic], it makes a statement about all fat people and it makes a social statement.” Heather goes on to complain about being “triggered” by Sharon’s “fatphobic” decision. “Intentional weight loss goes against everything that I stand for,” says she.
For some reason, the term co-dependent relationship springs to mind.
“Intentional weight loss goes against everything that I stand for,” says she.
Translation: “You can only be my friend as long as you’re really fat and unhappy about it.”
Well, I suppose we can content ourselves with the old adage that life is like a box of chocolates. It doesn’t last as long for fat people.
My teenage daughter is showing signs of the dreaded SJW affliction. I often point to this site when she says “I don’t believe that”. It’s not a cure, but it keeps it in remission.
Here’s a tener for your troubles.
Much appreciated.
Translation: “You can only be my friend as long as you’re really fat and unhappy about it.”
Basically, yes.
Having trawled through some of the commentary over there, it occurs to me that one effect of regarding one’s obesity as activism is that it can turn a person into a resentful monomaniac. Despite the blather about “body acceptance” and contentedness, it seems to involve an awful lot of griping and denouncing, especially of people who’d rather their own anatomy were a little less bulky. To the extent that a big person attempting to improve their health prospects and sense of wellbeing is railed against as “self-centred,” traitorous, “brainwashed,” “irresponsible,” “unethical,” and tantamount to being “physically abusive.”

Am I having a corrupting influence on the nation’s youth?
Awesome.
“baker extraordinaire”
I bet that’s her opinion.
Am I having a corrupting influence on the nation’s youth?
Awesome.
One word: Socrates
Lefty trans ‘activist’ says debate is “a privileged exercise” and “makes no strategic sense”.

says debate is “a privileged exercise” and “makes no strategic sense”.
Blimey.
The tweet immediately below is telling and roughly translates as, “If you don’t already concede my claims and assume a deferential position, I refuse to debate you.” Apparently, “the very structure of a debate” – i.e., facts and logic and such – “is designed around what is easiest for the privileged and most difficult for the marginalised.” To be fair, you can see the disadvantage for someone who seems to rely heavily on swearing, paranoia and coughed-up boilerplate (much of which is geared to excusing why nothing she says has to be justified or should ever be contested).
“Debate is fuckshit,” says the self-described “unemployable anti-capitalist.”
It would appeal “Sabine” believes that “debate” is akin to a game like basketball with “privilege” (however that’s defined at the moment) is the equivalent of stature, as opposed to a neutral means of discovering objective truths through the application of reason. Undoubtedly, he/she/it refuses to acknowledge the existence of provable, objective truth/reality which is separate from his/her/its internal perceptions. Sure, “debate” makes no sense when the only reality is what exists in one’s own effed-up head.
This girl seems to think the world revolves around her. Given she’s 300lb and consequent gravitational pull, it probably does.
Thought this comparison with Syrians refugees as bombed out Germans seems apt.
Sorry here be link.

These people have child-minds.
They seem to be peculiar to western-European, or at least Anglo-Saxon societies. What is it about our societies which creates these people in such numbers?
What is it about our societies which creates these people in such numbers?
For decades we’ve been actively creating and encouraging such thinking in our schools and universities. Which if it was being done mostly by people using their own money to do so would make this a more pertinent question. However much of the teaching and encouraging of such BS is done with tax dollars. This kind of stupidity is generally purged by natural forces. What we are dealing with here is synthetic stupidity.
The more the world resembles a Judge Dredd comic, the more I worry: http://judgedredd.wikia.com/wiki/Fattie
This woman doesn’t consider the possibility that her friend didn’t take steps to lose weight out of hate, but out of love of life.
Or perhaps she did, and didn’t like what that said about her.
Hmm. Dared to follow the link and got a warning from google that the site was for adults only. A debatable statement. I then probed further and was met with trigger warnings abungo. Serious question: is this for real? Surely its a parody. Of something.
“They seem to be peculiar to western-European, or at least Anglo-Saxon societies. What is it about our societies which creates these people in such numbers?”
Well the internet has given losers the ability to find other losers and jointly reassure each other when they project their bullshit onto others that they’re righteous.
However the hard left, eg UAF, SWP etc have been doing this for decades, it just the internet makes them seem louder.
Also now the state indulges their bullshit, instead of telling them to have a wash and get a fucking job.
