Friday Ephemera
Appetisers. // Best try this first with your parents’ car. (h/t, DRB) // Copy cat. (h/t, Jeff Jacques) // Dog butt science. // The Einstein papers. // On rendering buttocks. // Beard baubles. // Concrete Christmas decorations. // Gemstones. // Marble phone amplifier. // Yule logs. // Crosswind landings. // Gas drama at FurFest. (h/t, Poot) // Throw fire at things. // Walking on (frozen) water. // Branding of note. // Cybercrime visualised. // Perhaps not ideal for vegetarians. // Dog licks food. // As seen by satellite. // 707 episodes of Doctor Who played simultaneously. // Doesn’t everyone have a secret underwater ballroom? // Submarine sandwich. // The Hindenburg was big. // Spot the competitive neighbourhood. // And finally, tearfully, “But this isn’t the toy I wanted, Mommy.”
Isn’t one episode of Doctor Who more than enough? 😉
Seriously, for the ephemera, How a Mosquito Operates
Absolutely nothing could go wrong with the fire throwing thing. I’ll take two.
“But this isn’t the toy I wanted, Mommy.”
One little kid will sleep well tonight.
Isn’t one episode of Doctor Who more than enough?
For me it is. I like the idea of the series, the premise, but not the actual programme. Every once in a while I watch an episode to see if it’s improved – and I do think Capaldi’s better than other recent incarnations – but it’s basically badly written panto with Guardianista tendencies. And the show has been strangled by its own continuity. There’s no sense of mystery. After fifty years, it needs a long rest. Or a hard reboot.
Walking on (frozen) water.
Is that real?
Is that real?
Apparently.
And before anyone asks, so is this.
Spot the competitive neighbourhood.
I predict seizures before Christmas. And arguments over the electricity bill.
We all suspected it, but now we have scientific proof that Australians talk funny.
That robed Christ on the dog’s arse could be the canine equivalent of the odour of sanctity.

Technical, it’s not real; it’s so true.
[ducking]
Weirdly, I seemed to have missed this new movie-teaser;

It’s from the same Finns that have done other things in the past.
From there it’s fairly easy to get to this;
