“The Vaportini provides a revolutionary way of consuming alcohol. It is inhaled rather than swallowed.” // The sky is angry. // London below you. // Augmented reality contact lenses. // Pitch-shifted REM made upbeat, almost jolly. // John’s weather forecasting stone. (h/t, Dr Westerhaus) // Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights, slowed down somewhat. // At last, marzipan elephants. // Key meets lock. // Reef dwellers. // Dog walks horse with limited success. // A surface that’s difficult to wet. // “We’ve got company.” // The internet movie cars database. I’ll take two marzipan elephants and a Vaportini.
this building was on fire and, er, now it’s frozen.
Holy crap. That’s some powerful cold…
Medical ‘tractor beam’. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-21187598
Wait until the people who talk about alcohol in terms of artificial “units” learn you can inhale it.
Kate Bush Slowed down = Vangelis? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvq5uhqGCWM
That forecasting stone “forecasts” only the present conditions.
That forecasting stone “forecasts” only the present conditions.
That does seem to be the obvious drawback.
I think the most humourous one of those is the ‘Vaportini’ one where, the makers claim:
“the effects of consuming alcohol are immediately felt, making it easier to responsibly imbibe”
What was the smiley for “doubtful expression, with furrowed brow” again?
>That forecasting stone “forecasts” only the present conditions.
Does it rather more accurately than current climate models (expensive grant maintained dice IMHO).
“The Vaportini provides a revolutionary way of consuming alcohol. It is inhaled rather than swallowed.”
Does it come as a patch? A patch would be easier for getting hammered at work.
“That forecasting stone “forecasts” only the present conditions.”
Meteorological forecasting accuracy would improve if the next day was assumed to be identical to the current day. Inaccuracies might increase with time (ie assuming that t+180 should be identical to t+179 and thus t+0), but it might still in total be more accurate than what our current forecasters are.
I believe the saying is ‘A dead meteorologist is right twice a year’, or similar.

this building was on fire and, er, now it’s frozen.
I used to work in that neighborhood, and I think I sometimes caught a bus across the street from that building.
It’s sad, because there are a lot of handsome old industrial and warehouse buildings in the area.
BTW, the owner of the building is on vacation at Club Fed for bribing an alderman. (Nothing to do with that property, though.)
The vaportini link sounds fake as the gins are speled wronng.
It’s Tanqueray & Hendricks.
Pitch-shifted REM made upbeat, almost jolly.
The Doors have been done too.
