Good times at “Durham in Wonderland.” KC Johnson reviews a(nother) brilliant essay on the Duke Lacrosse Hoax/Frame. This one was authored by three of the Hoax’s enablers, including Professor Lubiano, in the cutting-edge journal “Social Text.”

AMac,
Thanks for that. It rather demonstrates the imperviousness to refutation and evidence that I mentioned yesterday. The theoretical claptrap Lubiano and others peddle enables their delusion. The lurid and incoherent supposition isn’t just an academic fashion; it’s part of a political worldview. This may in part explain why Social Text is still published despite its farcical history.
