And Infinite Tissues
Devil Himself to pass within mere miles of council staff workplace, sandbags deployed, weeping ensues:
Labour council offers staff ‘safe spaces’ because Farage is visiting.
Although Mr Farage’s brief presence in the city will have “no direct impact” on Council staff, Leeds City Council human resources chief, Mr John Ebo, has assured pre-emptively traumatised employees that they will be comforted with “wellbeing network chats.” “Safe space conversations” will, of course, be “enabled.”
Council employees are urged to “be vigilant.”
I’m just going to leave this here, for no reason whatsoever.
Readers may detect an implicit gulf, both political and psychological, between much of the electorate and the people who spend their money.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and bicker.

It’s been detected for some time.
Another Thing That Never Happens…
I just want the bins emptied and the potholes fixing.
Judging by the eye-widening state of the roads hereabouts, I can only assume that basic repairs are of much less importance than affirming Muhammadan holidays, insisting taxpayers use “inclusive” language when using the Council’s feedback forms, and whatever self-induced emotional crises are in fashion this week.
Watch out for the Farage barrage.

If you get a message from the first link about something called “Tollbit” try this one.
In other political news, if this endorsement alone isn’t convincing enough to have you vote for this guy, his platform will. You will be surprised to learn he claims to have written the “Green New Deal”.
Thanks, link updated.
Also from the Telegraph article:
But I’m sure that’s entirely unrelated to the politics and psychology seen above.

Based on every similar exchange I’ve seen, I’m guessing only one party is interested in reality.
Borrowed?
“The State Auditor stated that DCYF records are so bad that millions of dollars over the past four years have been un-auditable.”
After a point it does seem deliberate.
As we’ve seen umpteen times, one side of that aisle – those professing their “liberation” and “body positivity” – are remarkably prone to mental convolutions, bizarre outbursts and obvious emotional hang-ups.
Which rather suggests that their professed contentment, their supposed ease with themselves, ain’t quite as claimed.
It never seems to occur to them that this only encourages Reform supporters and hardens their resolve.
I knew Reform was on the rise here in Scotland when I saw posters all over the working-class areas attacking it. You never saw that with the Tories. The radical Left never feared them as a genuine threat; they were simply the bogeymen that the bourgeoisie might impose on the proletariat if the latter wasn’t Organised™. Clearly it sees Reform differently.
Good.
(First attempt to post comment: “Nonce is invalid”. I should bloody well hope so. And who are you calling… ?)
An argument for adjusting legally permitted bond amounts for inflation?
Presumes that all staff share the insane need to shelter in place because a pol is coming to their town. Presumes that people feel “unsafe” by the mere presence of someone they do not prefer. FFS people get a grip.
It is not just that the Left is insane, it is that they are also incompetent. billions on train to nowhere, a wildlife bridge that takes years to build, and million dollar trash cans (looking at you California). It is almost as if too much focus on radical beliefs causes retardation (ok not IF, but DOES).
Just like a real lady would.
And – not for the squeamish – what fetish?
Or too much wealth causes a society to become too lazy to tell the radicals to FO. Easier and cheaper to surrender the Danegeld than to deal with the Dane. Though Kipling’s Dane was an outsider.
No, they’re very competent. At sluicing money into their pockets and those of their cronies, and hiding it under an appearance of incompetence.
OH MY GOD.
And yet, according to The Great Gospel Of Progress, not wishing to share a bathroom or changing room with such creatures, of which there are many, makes you the villain.
Are they? Think ‘crazy like a fox’ and/or Cloward-Pivens.
That’s been an ongoing scandal in California (including the laissez-faire surrogacy industry abuses) for a while. Yet the ending of the system of granting automatic citizenship to just having been born on US soil has the usual suspects screaming ‘racism’ cuz, of course, these ‘birth tourism’ scams aren’t a “real” problem.
Why we can’t have nice things … ongoing series.

Doesn’t “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” have any meaning? (14th amendment)
I guess not.
Left incompetent: well, they show competence in siphoning off money, stealing elections, and importing voters, but not for getting things done that benefit people. Because those things like building train track do not interest (ie benefit) them directly.
Oxymoron.
Words only mean what the judiciary chooses them to mean. Neither more nor less.
