Land Of Mandatory Make-Believe
Canada, I mean.
Following this eye-widening farce, in which a mentally ill woman claimed to be crushed and psychologically violated by a haircut booking form, I bring you a vision of things to come:
And thus a pretext for legislative punishment and financial ruin.
Because you must defer to the claims of people whose perceptions are wildly unreliable, at least regarding themselves. And because you mustn’t notice the overlap of cross-dressing and unsavoury phenomena, as Mr Neufeld did. Lest it bruise the egos of the Officially Downtrodden, who must be spared any whisper of contradiction or exposure to statistics.
“A person does not need to believe in Christianity to accept that another person is Christian. However, to accept that a person is transgender, one must accept that their gender identity is different than their sex assigned at birth.”
And so we arrive at compulsory question-begging. No other possibilities being permissible, it seems.
Oh, and gloating, vaguely threatening cross-dressing men:
Threaten me all you like. I still won’t pretend to believe in gender identities. https://t.co/xkPFJZTGWL

Mr Oger, quoted above, spends his time campaigning to financially cripple women’s rape shelters, on grounds that said shelters don’t also cater to cross-dressing men, i.e., men much like himself. A preoccupation that possibly tells us quite a bit about the kind of man he is.
Presumably, absurd and sweeping rulings of the kind seen above will inhibit questioning of the motives in play, and will deter people from acknowledging distinctions between autogynephiles, transvestites, opportunists, and people with sexual dysmorphia, and deter them from considering the possible causes of that dysmorphia, including, quite often, childhood sexual abuse.
Which is to say, it will stupefy. It will make dishonesty mandatory. Because you mustn’t be allowed to determine for yourself what it is you’re looking at.
It will also give enormous leverage to spiteful bedlamites.
Which doesn’t strike me as an entirely utopian scenario.

Evil f*cking goblin.
Well, it isn’t difficult to see why a man like Mr Oger might want a world in which any scrutiny of his claims and motives is very much deterred.
UNSEE! UNSEE!
It is rather graphic, but not unfairly. I tend to think that anyone who insists on affirming men who claim to be women, especially men who feel entitled to barge into women’s bathrooms and changing rooms, should first watch that video. In particular the three or four minutes I’ve linked.
“For anyone who called us cheaters … I hope that the image of us standing on top of the podium, embracing one another, smiling ear to ear with our gold medals is burned into your brain forever.”
— Brad Jacobs, Canada curling
Nope.
Canada’s reputation for politeness and sanity is disintegrating. And fiscal prudence as they’ve learned Alabama has a higher GDP than they do. But fear not, ye denizens of the North – you always have MAID to fall back on.
I have no problem “accepting” their gender identity if I wasn’t also mandated to accept gender identity as reality. Call yourself what you will, have on it – you’re still a delusional male.
Was there ever any doubt?
Trans nonsense is insanity on steroids. How foolish does one have to be to ignore biology? Biology is not an abstract concept.
There is an implication that one must believe anyone who claims to be a Christian. And yet for some time now churches have been infiltrated and subverted by leftists who only pretend to be Christians.
Indeed.
Hypotheses:
1. Many supposedly highly educated people aren’t.
2. Many more cannot think because they have been indoctrinated.
3. Many people are highly susceptible to fads.
4. Many others are susceptible to social pressure.
5. And some have unknown, nefarious reasons for embracing the lie.
Islamic scholarship.
“A person does not need to believe in Christianity to accept that another person is Christian…”
Believing yourself to a Christian gives you what powers in Canada? Are there places into which you can go only if you are a Christian?
It’s odd they didn’t use Muslim as that template, isn’t it?
So now I’m supposed to cheer on the QfP crowd?
I have to say, if I’d laid out that kind of money, gone through umpteen painful surgeries, and still looked liked like a badly made-up panto dame I might be a tad spiteful too.
Our AI future?
Be All You Can Be
Yet another example.
There are no penalties for disbelieving someone’s claim to be Christian.
David, please check the spam filter. Too many links in my earlier comment.
Our AI future?
Given the current state of things wherein they too would be fined into oblivion for “transphobia” for reporting it regardless of whether real or false, and given that AI isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit, one can see their hesitancy.
RECEDING HAIRLINE RAGE.
Though I suspect Mr Oger’s disagreeable tendencies predate the upwards expansion of his forehead.
Freed.
Thank you.
“terminally self involved narcissists”
Terminally self-involved narcissists who are strongly inclined towards dishonesty.
But I quibble.
It’s time to take a break from mocking the French. (via.)
You’re giving up a very dangerous step there, by “accepting” their gender identity if you think it is not reality. That’s how it started.
All such claims should get the response: “No. You are a man.” (Or, a woman for the “transmen” out there.)
My own view, broadly speaking, is that if someone wants to live as if they were a member of the opposite sex, then, er, okay, bit weird, but it’s not something that I would spend my evenings raging against. The fact that sexually dysmorphic people exist – and transvestites and autogynephile fetishists – doesn’t make me pace up and down furiously while muttering and chain-smoking.
Life has no shortage of peculiarities.
The issue is when others are coerced, whether by emotional and psychological bullying or by force of law, to participate in what then becomes a creepy and demoralising pretence, a pressure to affirm the untrue. And when attempts are made to legally falsify an identity and to thereby compel others to participate in a lie.
And in practical terms, the conditions of my polite indifference mean that cross-dressing men, say, should have the decency not to violate women’s bathrooms, changing rooms, etc., and that they should stay away from children. Not use them for coerced affirmation, or worse.
This doesn’t seem, to me, an entirely outrageous expectation.
And yet, my preferred live-and-let-live approach, which I’d imagine many others share, is being made thankless and difficult, if not impossible. Not least by creatures like Mr Oger, above, and Ms Migneault, mentioned previously.
These two, from EmC and Stephanie respectively, are quite likely not unrelated:
It is almost childishly easy to abuse kindness, neighborliness, tolerance, and hospitality.
Quite literally any fool can do it.
Almost everyone, if not everyone, has at some point known someone who always manages to cadge a cigarrette, or get included in a round, or borrow money, but who never reciprocates.
(Or on the singular occasion that they do, you know you will never hear the end of it).
Kindness, neighborliness, tolerance, and hospitality does not survive repeated abuse.
That the abusers can turn to the State to defend their spiteful and flagrant larceny really only gives you two options.
You succumb or you resist.
I really do think we have reached that point now.
I can no longer find this bizarre or grimly amusing.
It’s just hateful and I just cannot bear to watch “evil f*cking goblins” of every imaginable stripe and flavour run roughshod over everyone else any more.
They really need to be stamped on – preferably figuratively, but I will reluctantly accept that in all likelihood it won’t be.
If you poke through Mr Oger’s social media posts, you’ll soon register the signature combination of gleeful spite and supposed offers of “help.” You see, by harassing people and trying to ruin their businesses, their livelihoods, he’s bringing them closer to utopia.
Danger, Will Robinson.
Time to take another break from mocking the French, nicht wahr?
Let’s see, Canada is poorer than Alabama, lost Olympic gold in hockey to both American women’s and men’s teams but at least they still have their insane Human Rights Tribunal and MAID for getting rid of excess population.
America needs a northern wall to match the southern one.
[ Slurps rhubarb and ginger gin and tonic. ]
America needs a northern wall to match the southern one.
I was thinking more along the lines of a giant row of speakers facing Canada, blasting “Freebird” 24/7.
At least the Canadian hockey teams can say they lost fairly . . . unlike how their curling team won.
And furthermore…
Heh.
It’s not hockey until you’ve had a few teeth knocked out.
I think both the Hughes brothers and the Tkachuk brothers should adopt horn-rimmed glasses as a joking nod to the Hanson brothers.
Such players long favored in dentistry ads/commercials for years.
I didn’t realize curling carried such geopolitical importance.
It’s time to show those Canucks the right way to play it.
Nice. Needs a couple co-eds in short skits, maybe cheerleader outfits, doing the sweeping-with-brooms part tho.
The claim that not affirming gender is “denial” and discrimination when compared to a christian is the wrong comparison. A christian is a person with certain beliefs. The proper comparison would be to someone who claims they can do voodoo. I recognize that you CLAIM you can do voodoo but do not accept your claim. Replace “can do voodoo” with “are female” and you can see the parallel. These people play with words and think we will not notice.
I used to know a lot of people who claimed to be able to do magic. They became very annoyed when I politely expressed skepticism.
There is no doubt that they are all now on the magic pronoun bandwagon.
And it gets better, as in worse, for the Canucks. The men adopt their women’s loser mentality. They’re becoming the French. Good thing they don’t share a border with Germany. Though I suppose inside some of their heads…
They talked quite a bit about their magical abilities. Not surprising, considering they were persons with no notable accomplishments.
David:
Your live and let live approach has failed. Utterly. It was used as a weapon against you. People talk as if polite tolerance hasn’t been tried yet. It was the preferred approach for most of the 20th and so far in the 21st century. It has been thoroughly debunked as a workable response.
Another dindu dies before he’s able to become an ass-tro-not:
Draws firearm, drops it, ignores command to leave it where it fell, boom.
Crazy-eyed racist calls normal man a racist.
Is that makeup, or the result of heavy drug use? 😀
