Nightmare Scenario
Imagine the daily torment of being married to someone high in neuroticism (emotional instability), low in conscientiousness, low in agreeableness, and eager to try anything new or exciting.
Imagine a spouse with the psychological profile of a Green Party member. pic.twitter.com/szrZP9A8o9

And then there’s The Scottish Plumber. “The pipes are calling”.
Apropos of nothing in particular:
I took the Jordan Peterson test at understandmyself.com, for which they charge $10 American.
They do the five, then also break each of the five down into two component parts.

IN MY DEFENSE
I’ve had an undiagnosed chronic fatigue since 1999. Hence my poor housekeeping skills.
I am highly amused at the 0% enthusiasm and 2% compassion, and I think the withdrawal should be much worse. I hardly leave my own yard.
Mike is a member of the Democratic Socialists. Mike does not understand things.
You see, according to Mike, if you object to dangerously violent criminals being released 72 times, then you must be “weak” and “paralysed by fear of the other.”
Mike is keen to call other people “dumb as fuck.”
Regarding the above, this came to mind:
Do click the link for some eye-widening statistics.
And then of course there’s this:
I’m guessing that Mike, our Democratic Socialist, would not approve.
My grandfather worked an assembly line in a bottling plant. The bottles would be filled then come down the assembly line to him where he would put a stopper in the bottle and smack it with a mallet. He was a cork-socker.
I too shall be here all week and if you don’t like that one, I have a few others. Some stolen, some not…
And from the same post, this:
Again, I suspect Mike, our Democratic Socialist, would be annoyed by people hearing such things. But not by the carjackers themselves, of course.
In power Mike would make sure you never got to know.
Heh. Well, yes. Does seem quite likely, given the opportunity. Presumably, the rest of us must be made to listen to criminals, to be empathetic, and to then gush with pretentious sympathy. But we mustn’t listen to them when they boast of delighting in utterly gratuitous and sadistic behaviour.
Mike is a proud member of the Democratic Socialists, which does rather suggest a leaning towards unrealism and moral perversity. Such that, if you suggest that habitually violent criminals, like the ones quoted above, should, you know, be imprisoned, Mike will call you a “fascist.”
That Mike likes to respond to people who disagree with him by calling them names and shouting about how frightened and “dumb” they are, compared to his heroic and terribly clever self, is not at all surprising. It’s practically a signature of the type.
As we’ve seen many times, a person’s politics may be shaped to a large extent by their personality. And Mike’s personality… leaves something to be desired. His emphatic position isn’t simply a result of misunderstanding. There’s motivation there.
I’m just going to leave this one here, I think.
But do note the role of the woman in the orange hat.
“Who the fuck cares…?” says she.
“Who the fuck cares…?” says she.
The correct answer is that we all should. Or, at the very least, take note of and question aberrant behavior. Because performative morality as a disguise for apathy allows the social contract to die.
In another time, people would approach that man and let him know, clearly, “We don’t do that here.” And if he continued his behavior, correction would follow.

On the house.
That.
As the great Thomas Sowell said – “You will never understand bureaucracies until you understand that for bureaucrats procedure is everything and outcome is nothing.”

It’s tempting not to want to know just how degenerate the degenerate can be. But without that moral information, farce will ensue.
I gather it’s a festive day over yonder in the colonies. I shall raise a glass of something this evening. Have a good one.
Number 10 will astound you! Seriously, though, the convolutions to defend this guy are gobsmackingly off the wall.

Scratch a Democratic Socialist, find a Stalinist.
Wouldn’t that be an Irish plumber?
They go well before the kulaks in a Stalinist regime.
It is amazing to me how they just wave away all the Socialist failings and mass murder. In my personal life, when I learned new things, even those contrary to my prior assumptions, I changed my mind. Led me to be quite conservative. I can’t fathom having such a strong attachment to an extreme ideology that you hide from reality.
I’ve noticed that often the latter provides the basis for the former.
He paid extra.
Are there any Giant Vaginas or enormous fake boobs in there? Asking for a friend.
They both paid the price?
That quality enshrined in a man who kills both his parents and throws himself on the mercy of the court because he’s an orphan. Enters the country uninvited. Begets copies of himself that are paperwork Americans, whose birth, medical care, schooling are paid for by Americans, but are likely to grow up to resent America in that special way that the children of illegal immigrants do. Spends his free time aiding and abetting, or giving moral support to, a community who are doing the same thing. And all of this is presented to the court as mitigating rather than aggravating his illegal entry and fraud. He might be a good guy for his own people – Guatemala needs him – but he’s not an American and what he’s doing isn’t good for Americans.
You see the respect that liberals have for old-fashioned non-liberal values – fatherhood, churchgoing – in non-whites. The base assumption that if a man has stuck around and his kid is nearly a high school graduate, he must be a decent guy – no feminist stinginess here, no “what, you expect a medal for doing the minimum”? The pastor of a strip mall evangelical church treated by the NY TImes as a moral authority (not named, so we don’t know whether she’s an idiot universalist white or an ethnocentric immigrant helping out her paisanos).
Latino immigrants like these kinds of churches, to some extent because of the personal touch where Jesus himself takes an interest and wants to hear your testimonial; but largely because a newcomer to the country isn’t an unrooted liberal individual thrown back on his own wits and resources – the church gives him group belonging, group representation, ingroup preference, mutual support to work within the law or even outside the law if, for example, it doesn’t suit them to follow US law. These are nice things to have, but what would the NY Times have to say about churches that give white men a tribe and concretely defend their interests, against the government and laws if necessary, rather than telling them that their highest purpose is to import Africans?
