About those libtards condemning Sydney Sweeney as a Nazi ideal of beauty:
Does anybody here recall when Susan Sontag condemned Leni Riefenstahls’s photography of the Nuba people of East Africa as “fascist aesthetics”?
That’s my favourite of the Qatermassess. It’s still creepy despite the primitive special effects.
There is nothing morally wrong with using buckshot to solve this problem.
Agreed. Stands up pretty well.
Agreed. Demonstrating how much can be accomplished with comparatively low tech.
The purpose of a system is what it does.
Meanwhile, over at CNN, Don Lemon is claiming, with all the gravitas he can muster, that most violence comes from the right, from white men. With not a single fact to back him up of course. Probably referring to that “systemic violence” that got him a job at CNN….I mean that forces all those POC to shoot each other. Somehow. Don’t ask him how.
“You sound white.”
Give the lady a cheroot.
Pit is the flashier film, but the one I most vividly remember is Quatermass II. With the eerie mood, the population falling under some alien influence, and the unspeakable things in the refinery.
Something unsavoury in the pipes.
Here’s that thing never happening again.
Follow-up.
“Anime club.”
In terms of sinister goings-on, Quatermass is once again outdone by real life.
I know there are comic book fans out there, so get your tickets now if you have the misfortune to be in the NYC area because this is your big chance, “…to enjoy special events and get a break from the hustle and bustle of the show floor (and the dudes who don’t believe in deodorant),”
You also, “Test your Queer DC Trivia knowledge…”
In other news, not holding my breath this isn’t AI.
“Did she call the sofa a davenport too like my grandma did?”
Nah. She called it a ‘settee.’
Typist of note.
(Via Tacky Raccoons, who should be in your Bogroll – BLOGROLL, sorry.)
You’ve motivated me to re-watch them both.
New papal tiara?
Aposematic tattoo.
I’m assuming my memory of Quatermass II, which I last saw decades ago, isn’t too unreliable, and Brian Donlevy would not be my first choice to play Quatermass, but it’s the film in the series that’s lingered most.
Just don’t ask what’s blocking the pipes.
1978 song is an increasingly accurate description of liberalism.
Update: She smeared dog poop on a Tesla.
Just another Chicago
liberalNazi.Aren’t they all?
Again, you do rather have to marvel at the thought process:
To then boast of the crime on your own social media accounts, as if nothing could possibly follow from that, is the icing on the bedlamite cake.
From the evidence a curious mixture of trendy pharmaceuticals and the afore-mentioned dog faeces.
Possible partial explanation: All her friends approve of what she did.
Thuggery is now mainstream on the left.
Again, from the post linked above:
Yet I’ve been asked why I use the word pathology in this blog’s animated banner.
Thuggery is now mainstream on the left.
Thuggery
is nowhas always been mainstream on the left.FIFY…
Thuggery: just thought I would mention that as early as the 60s, the Left wore Mao and Che t-shirts, shot cops, and engaged in THOUSANDS of bombings in the US. Yet the media still could not bring themselves to distance themselves or criticize them.
There was a time when most liberals would have recoiled from that.
But what was called a liberal in 1950 is now called a fascist.
If fantasizing about murdering the children of your political rival isn’t beyond the pale for Democrats, I’m honestly not sure what could be.
Thuggery: just thought I would mention that as early as the 60s,
Let’s go back to 1900 and start with all the anarchist bombings, the assassination of McKinley, the attempted assassination of Teddy Roosevelt, the Wobblies, home grown Bolsheviks, etc. etc.
The great irony here is all the “good” the Left claims they plan to do, just as soon as they kill off those Nazis.
Your feel good moment of the day.
If he’s violating your personal space then you know he’s up to no good.
Hyacinth has kicked the bouquet.
Oh god, not the heat map meme again.
And less than two hours until the tweet author’s wife shows up to flog one of his books.
It has become almost an unconscious reflex to ignore such stuff.
Day ending in “y”: Emma Watson is being stupid again.
Emma’s Grandma “You know, dear, when I was your age I was married with three children …”
Emma: “HOW DARE YOU COMMIT VIOLENCE UPON ME!”
Another day ending in Y, the never happening thing yet again.
The idea that Ms Watson, or likely anyone she knows, any of her celebrity peers, is being pressured by others to get married and presumably have children, and that such hypothetical pressure constitutes “violence,” is, shall we say, difficult to believe. It seems rather more likely that Ms Watson, 35, is, like many of her self-involved peers, struggling to process her own age-related anxieties.
At 35, that fertility window is closing quite rapidly and options that have perhaps been taken for granted, or dismissed as insufficiently fashionable, will soon expire.
As someone quips in reply, “The call is coming from inside the house.”
I think we’ll give that one a post of its own.
Comments that-a-way.
“Three Strikes and You’re Out” is insufficient: Just execute these kids now.
Him, too.
