Little Harmony, Plenty Colon
Attention, music lovers. Charlotte Gill brings thrilling news:
Naturally, all this healing and coexistence, all this righteousness and resistance, necessitates certain rules, indeed a manifesto:
As Ms Gill observes, one eyebrow slightly raised:
Ah, but, you see, it’s “the radical act of collective song.” The “radical act of joy.” And the radical act of shunning white people as some kind of moral contaminant. How the time must fly.
Readers intrigued by the prospect of shaping the tapestry of their collective sound, via “somatic practice,” “singing and healing together,” and “co-creating an anthem,” can savour the results of all this radicalism below:

You may now resume your humdrum, dreary, non-decolonised lives.
Update, via the comments:
Nikw211 asks, not unreasonably,
And so what is this act of joy an act of resistance against?
Certainly not the subsidised community spaces they rehearse in… Or the Arts Council England, Local Council or Mayoral grant funded Tara Theatre they perform in.
Indeed. It’s a head-scratcher.
However, as the only racial group being explicitly excluded is Old Whitey, the obvious inference is that the cause of all this alleged misery and “trauma” is the party being excluded. As if the mere proximity of People Of Pallor would inhibit and befoul any creative endeavour, any glimmer of “joy.” Given the minority status of white people in London, it seems a bit much. And ever so slightly ungrateful.
And it is, I think, worth noting that the nation’s capital, where these dramas of “resistance” unfold, has in my lifetime gone from a native white-majority city, over 90%, to a native white-minority one, around 35%. Yet it would seem that even this dramatically downsized white devil population is, for some, still too burdensome and oppressive.
A cause of “collective trauma.”
No act of joy is worth committing unless it’s radical.
If they are it’s because they’re being told to be.
The mere proximity of pallor often leads to encounters with more highly skilled singers and choirs. Such encounters don’t result in feelings of awe and jealousy with resulting desires to work harder and develop better skills. The common results are offense and envy that other people might be better rewarded because of better skills.
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game.” These people hate the players so they try to change the game.
You don’t want to listen to good music, You’re a bad person if you don’t want to listen to ‘diverse’ singers.
You don’t want to live in a safe and sociable neighborhood. You’re a bad person if you don’t let the dregs of the world move in next door.
You don’t want to celebrate excellence in human performance. You’re a bad person if you don’t let us mock your religion and accept men can be women.
You don’t want a competent and accountable government. You’re a bad person if you don’t elect a black person and then expect her not to be corrupt and incompetent.
You don’t get to leverage your intelligence and conscientiousness. You’re a bad person for having a long term memory, low time preference, and noticing patterns.
If it moves off the plate on its own it’s likely to be a snuck

These radicals, singing this joy on endless loop, got me past my darkest hour.
I’ve got a tenner that says they’re mostly traumatized by an abusive childhood but they’re projecting the source of their pain on Society rather than dealing with it constructively. I’ll also proffer another tenner that a goodly amount of them are no longer able to deal with their trauma, because it’s crystalized into a Cluster B personality disorder.
Methinks I spotted some people of pallor in that second vid. The chick in the foreground has reddish hair (could be dyed) and there’s a bloke in the background near the wall.
Here’s Mommy! Yes, she’s doing a bit, but her message is in earnest. Her TikTok channel features the “gentle parenting” mode she picked up from teaching preschoolers. Her schtick is that she “gentle parents” those obstreperous right wingers into formulating the Correct Ideas and taking the Right Actions.
IOW, she shares the same condescension of her class for regular people.
And here is MKH’s epic response.
the “gentle parenting” mode she picked up from teaching preschoolers
I’ve noticed a lot of preschool and elementary teachers seem to undergo an intellectual degradation over time where they lose the ability to interact with other adults as adults. They treat everyone else like their students and have a childlike demeanour themselves.
I feel this.
And she manages to be weirdly aggravating in so many different ways.
“Affectionately known.”
Again, it’s a bit, where she’s trying to be annoying and cloying and stuff. And yet there’s something beyond the bit, as if half of it were in earnest.
A little too on the nose if you already suspect Devouring Mother archetypes from that crowd.
In a confined space with such a creature, I don’t think things would go well.
I mean, it’s not clear to me how one might actually communicate with such a creature, someone so far gone. At least, in a way that isn’t pretence. The dishonesty and question-begging is so dense, so practised and entrenched, that there’s no obvious way in to a realistic exchange.
Regarding the above, Evan the communist issues a challenge.
And she manages to be weirdly aggravating in so many different ways.
I am thinking of ways to use that picture. It NEEDS to be used a meme in some way.

Trust me, there was nothing living in that bowl.
Nothing visible to the naked eye at any rate.

Not that this will be news to anyone at the bar, but the prerequisite for activism of this type is the ability to believe both a thing and the opposite of that thing without suffering the slightest bit in terms of embarrassment or cognitive discomfort.
To suffer embarrassment, they would need to hold a moral imperative more complex than winning at all costs is all that matters.
To suffer cognitive discomfort, they would need to be honest and sincere – two qualities that would be a serious impediment to their activism.
Not that I expect that to be news to anyone in this joint.
Hurrah for me!
I may even be encouraged to pay off the running tab now.
European though I am, I love the USA, have friends living there and have and visited several times.
That said, the particular neuroses around race that afflicts the USA has spread over many parts of the world with a virulence that is alarming to us – in Canada, evidently, in Britain, Europe, Australia, and elsewhere – and utterly baffling to people not yet afflicted, such as the Russians or the Chinese.
I don’t deny that there was historic racism in Britain and Europe or that there are racists – real ones I mean – who exist now. But the European experience of racism is – or at least was – completely different from that in the US.
Yet here we are.
Heh.
Hold that thought.

There you go.
Bless you, sir. Should you require sunblock for an impending outing, may the use-by date on the sunblock you’ve unearthed not have long-since faded into illegibility, thereby throwing into question its effectiveness.
Have you noticed a similar pattern with social workers?
Here, try this broad spectrum antibiotic.
I have read that even in the Victorian era and earlier, British racism manifested only in a sense of natural superiority* but not in actual malevolence or mistreatment: People of any race could prosper, knowing they would not be treated unjustly.
* And of course people of every region of Britain regarded themselves as superior to every other region.
Is he talking about the “Liberal white women are the worst…” comment or the video it referenced?
I think we should separate the online advocacy of racism versus the real world experience in the U.S.
For example, when I read about racism in the National Parks, and the Fear of going to outdoor spots by POCs, I’m reminded of visiting the beach at Lake Erie on summer day. There, on the shore where (in my imagination) Indians spent the day with their families, I saw people of many races sharing the experience. They were families, and their kids did all the things kids did while the parents snacked and sat on the beach and enjoyed the day.
Even more interesting (to me), was when the wife and I stopped at a roadside diner on Route 30 in Pennsylvania, between Lancaster and Gap. Amish country. The supposed heartland of People of Pallor. And crammed in that dinner eating breakfast was a United Nations of diners. And if you closed your eyes, you had no idea you were witnessing anything special. Just Americans eating large American breakfasts.
Unsurprising. Anything with even a rudimentary survival instinct would have headed for less violently illuminated environs.

You don’t have to use your imagination for this. India Indians pooping on the beach. Welcome to the Great

Re that Peak District enrichment process, I was fascinated by the authorities making the customary request to ID the perps, since the instant inference is, “It’s a Trap!” Do it and instantly be branded for life as Racisss!
