As A Woman, Just Like You, His Preferences Override Yours
Lifted from the comments – which you’re reading, of course – regarding this rather animated chap and his gushing sisterliness:
And if you ladies would rather not find Camp Creepy Manic Guy in your bathroom or changing room, this is, he insists, proof of your own “internalised misogyny,” and it’s “up to you to unlearn” your foolish female ways. Because, you see, it’s “patriarchy” when women don’t want to get undressed in front of a mentally ill man. To avoid said “patriarchy,” you must submit. To him.
He describes himself, modestly, as a “gender educator.”
Update, via the comments:
Chappie above, James, is apparently an “actress.” And “annoyingly hot.” As you can doubtless tell from his pretty nails, which he seems to regard as some ultimate measure of womanhood, and from the numerous videos of him parading around in his underwear while somewhat tightly wound. And remember, ladies, our “gender educator” only feels like a woman sometimes. So those visits to your bathrooms and changing rooms could go either way. A comfort, no doubt.
Update 2:
And “annoyingly hot.”
As am I.
In SE Texas around mid August, around 2:00 PM…
As am I.
Yes, but do you have ostentatious fake nails that you can fiddle with continually? I ask because, from what I can make out, they’re apparently the very nub of erotic magnetism.
Ya think? “>https://twitter.com/worstall/status/1505105917985099780

Do wire brads count? Or are we talking roofing, finishing… oh.
Do wire brads count?
Though I have to say, I wasn’t aware that men in general had much of an opinion on women’s fingernails.
Fingernails: I do prefer that women have fingernails…but seriously I think long long (real or fake) nails are absurd and speak to superficiality and impracticality.
ccscientist: you remind me now of a secretary in my school who had extremely long fingernails (no idea if real or fake). We never could figure out how she could type with those things…
they’re apparently the very nub of erotic magnetism.
Well they do take attention away from the facial hair and adams apple.
I do prefer that women have fingernails.
If only to avoid the kind of bride who clawed her way out of a tomb on a dark and stormy night.
For instance.

No, just was slightly buggered html with excess close italic bit, this is same with out the extra bit.
No, just was slightly buggered html
Yes, but I did not want to call attention to the fact that someone was committing html buggery right here in this Fine Establishment.
Could have been worse: Could have been out front, in which case it would have frightened the horse I rode in on.
the horse I rode in on
Band name.
“Chappie above, James, is apparently an ‘actress.’”
Wait… I thought we weren’t supposed to call them all “actors” now? This is terribly confusing.
[NARRATOR: Which is, of course, the whole point.]
“Fingernails: I do prefer that women have fingernails…”
Can’t argue with that. But it’s generally about as far as it goes. I did have a girlfriend once who only painted two or three of her nails each day, so she ended up with an array of different colours, which I thought was rather cute at the time. Mind you, as far as I recall, she had to point it out to me.
Look, I’m not telling you to go to your browser’s site settings for certain sites and turning off Javascript. I take no responsibility for the results of anyone essaying such an irresponsible endeavour.
I think long long (real or fake) nails are absurd and speak to superficiality and impracticality.
Agreed. On the other had, well-groomed nails on both men and women are nice — clean, short, even. IMHO speaks to a certain level of detail of personal hygiene.
I would legit listen to a band called Slightly Buggered
What ?
I think long long (real or fake) nails are absurd and speak to superficiality and impracticality.
I would suggest to you this is exactly what is intended: it’s a sign of virtue signalling for the little people. The virtue in question is “Don’t Have To Work For A Living”, as long nails means you can’t be doing heavy physical work nor will you be very useful as computer operator using a keyboard all day. This means those with long fingernails are supposedly rich enough to to have to work or in a high enough management position that your using of your hands in merely incidental.
Foot binding in pre-revolutionary China was the same. All over suntans do the modern equivalent showing you have lots of unencumbered time to work on that perfect suntan. As a result you have many people trying to do their own virtue signalling to show their supposedly elite status. I don’t know if they consciously understand the fake status they are trying to project.
Thread of note.
Thread of note.
Certainly is.
I’d further suggest that this trajectory is following a path successfully laid out for it by feminists in the academy and in the legal system, especially from the 1970s, but especially from the 1980s.
the horse I rode in on
Band name.
I thought the band had no name.
a sign of virtue signalling for the little people
But is ‘not having to work for a living’ an actual virtue?
What you’re referring to is status signalling.
no band name
At least it wasn’t called Sue.
But is ‘not having to work for a living’ an actual virtue?
Would be for me
I thought the band had no name.
I was waiting for someone to say that.
Darleen: on the legal system. In Viking scandanavia, they didn’t really have prisons. For minor things you could get fined or beat. For big crimes you might be declared an “outlaw”–outside the law–for some period of time. This meant that if someone robbed you or even killed you, they would not be punished. Similarly, in primitive tribes, for the worst crimes you were cast out of the tribe/village, which meant a death sentence for many. You were an “outcast”. What the left is engaged in now is using this concept of making someone an outcast/outlaw for any violation of their ideology. They can not only shout you down, they can remove your ads from social media when you are a republican candidate for office, they can prosecute you for defending yourself from their mob (Kyle rittenhouse), they can pressure banks not to lend to you (gun manufacturers, oil companies), they can label a father angry that his daughter was raped a terrorist.
they can pressure banks not to lend to you
And not do any business with you. Imagine being cut off from all banking services: No checking, no savings, no credit cards.
Sooner or later every decent person who studies the left comes around to the idea of helicopters.
“Just remember, I’m on your side, specifically on your left side, I mean in the stall next to you, listening….”
