Beautiful as that undoubtedly is, I think that this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4wuV14QlNM playing in the background elevates it.
Erebeta
Woah. That’s like a trippy, surreal Japanese version of Koyaanisqatsi.

More fun with cubes.

Tim Newman plays polyamory bingo.
‘A new Dutch boyband has been formed with the intention of preventing Brexit through their music. Launching with the single ‘Britain Come Back’, Breunion Boys are a five-piece formed by Dutch animation artist Julia Veldma as a “final, desperate, ultimate attempt” to stop Britain from parting with the European Union in March.’

That one I admit to.
The strange life of Margaret Rutherford.
Brilliant! Not unsurprised at the presence of mental illness in the Benn family.
Apropos of nothing in particular, Miss Rutherford was a friend of some acquaintances of my Mum and Dad, and when I was about three or four, I was introduced to her when she was up North visiting them. Sadly, I have no recollection of the occasion.

It is interesting to note, not saying that correlation is causation, but if you wade through the data, the population most likely to engage in polyamory is also the population with the highest and most increasing rates of VD in the country, not that this is at all surprising as it mirrors the rate increases seen in the late ’60s/early ’70s for much the same reason, AKA, random screwing around.
The Winterfest Carol of Godfrey Elfwick.
A veritable woke Dickens, he is.
Smashing the patriarchy*, 2018 style.

Get you with your Hollywood connections.
I may be due for a re-watch of Blithe Spirit.
Et tu, Clueless ?

My only claim to fame, so I’ll milk it for all it’s worth.

Thinks: ” Why is the ‘VIP’ area in the back alley next to the bins?”
BTW, if you’re feeling stressed these Christmas hols, I recommend CALMPOSTER. He’s a tonic.
Fun with sand, fungus and lava
Spent nearly an hour building a death trap for those damned mites. See, they have to EAT their way to their own demise or it doesn’t count. [giggles]
I now know what my toddler and I will be doing all weekend. Cheers

The last sentence needs a bit of work if this is to be your party piece!
An intervention by Lord Vetinari is needed at the Tate Modern:

Ok, here goes:
“I chatted with La Rutherford for about an hour. It turned out that we had mutual friends in Dickie Attenborough’s brood and dear old Johnny Mills’s youngest girl. Needless to say, we got along famously and the evening ended with her offering me a role in her next film.
The rest is, of course, history….”

I was inspired by the cat-shaped parcel and thought I’d try that one.

That one ranks up there with one wherein some idiot took umbrage with the statement that the US railroads were built by the Irish and Chinese and pointed out that blacks built the underground railroad.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zimmerman brings you The Real Deal.

The anthropology professor of note used the term “bleeding irony” to attempt to insult her critics. But, irony is always about distance–mostly metaphorical or literary in some way–and as such it is never ‘close’ enough to bleed. That is, ‘bleeding irony’ is pretty close to a contradiction. Put another way, the ironic person never bleeds, as that is the whole point of being ironic.

Wow. I feel positively low maintenance.
Interesting use of the word disproportionately.
Waiting for some SJWs to point out that accusations of racism are disproportionately made against wypipo. Same with sexism and men. Waiting…waiting…

First haggis, and now this. The Scots should stick to whisky, I think, and leave food to others.

It’s less disgusting than haggis. < /damning with faint praise >
The Scots should stick to whisky
But that may be the root cause of their food.

Interesting. And here I thought that their disproportionate-to-their-percentage-of-the-population representation in crime statistics and prisons was due to the Legacy of Slavery. Didn’t realize that the history of slavery here in the Colonies was so powerful that it drove blacks in Britain to crime as well!
Kind of like how the Patriarchy enforces its sexual norms even in non-human species. Is there anything that cisheteronormative White Men can’t do?
Do they have haggis ice cream?
First haggis, and now this.
Ehhhhnnnn, not really, happily.
While that one is in Aberdeen, doing odd things with ice cream keeps getting staged all over . . .
I was skimming through Google news, and . . . . Oops.
Quite so.
I’m Buddhist, but I do remember that Jesus is best noted for riding a donkey at 41mph in a 30mph zone of Jerusalem. Moses, of course, was a notorious liar who insisted to everyone that something about a rain of frogs and blood in the water had nothing to do with him, was actually a slight tiff between Isis and Osiris, really . . . . .
