Glass ruler, $30.
Very nice . . . .
—Does remind me of things like a Glass Body Scale . . . which always begs the question of what the point is of a glass body scale, if one doesn’t have a glass body.
“To span or to stack?”
At one time I was using 2-19″ and 2-22″ LCDs in a 2×2 arrangement. It really started to be a pain in the neck and I switched to one 30″. Triple 49 inchers must be a real stretch.
The plucking soundtrack goes really well with the panda video.
Yoga Joes and Advanced Yoga Joes.
“Camp on water.”
“…a first of it’s kind inflatable floating raft with a tent topper…”
Some 30 years ago I almost imported tents (from which country I forget) that used air mattresses for floors and floating was one of the advertised advantages. The brochure cover looked a lot like the images at that website.
The paperclip game is evil.
A little Mercury.
I do like to start the day by being reminded what a talentless loser I am.
Universal Paperclips is a game.
Six hours and counting…
Universal Paperclips is a game.
I have a bad feeling about this.

I suppose it depends on whether you enjoy juggling resources and keeping an eye on a dozen different read-outs, sliders, etc., while managing investments, launching space probes and keeping track of astronomical numbers. For extended periods of time.
Someone has started a tip sheet for the game, though it’s still a work in progress.
The paper plants are adorable!
*picks up spray mister*
Oh….
Isn’t the animal kingdom’s mastery of camouflage amazing?

Heh.
Kites of note.
A very British accident.
This is exactly how I do it.
I think I’m in love.
High drama.
Universal Paperclips is a game.
Anyone remember the lemonade stall game? I was rubbish at it. 🙁
And finally, he does this better than you do.
Articulated rear wheels. Them’s cheating.
Personality test.
Short version: I’m a well-balanced individual.
*waves results at wife*
The baby panda is a creature of great elegance.
Pandemonium?
A very British accident.
One is reminded of Douglas Bader’s logbook entry for the sortie which ended in the accident that cost him his legs:
Adorable, but is it really any wonder why they’re endangered?
The paperclip game is evil.
That.
“Are you white ?” Your guide to Halloween costume fun, courtesy of Ohio State University.
“Are you white?”
It’s like watching someone teetering on the edge of a mental breakdown.
In other news, this.
In a similar vein to the “Amsterdam, circa 1890” link above, video footage of Berlin in colour, circa 1900-14: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B-m9A8mY-U0

“Please don’t gender your rats”
Another one of my hobbies obliterated by The Patriarchy, dammit.
“Please don’t gender your rats.”
She doesn’t work in a pet shop then.
Camp on water
What do you do if you wake up in the middle of the night and have to pee?
Did anyone else ever catch La Cabina?
Did anyone else ever catch La Cabina?
Doesn’t the poor chap end up on the back of a lorry, still trapped inside the box?
Camp on water
Sorry. It’s been done.

Can someone fill me in on what happened when Islam became a race rather than a religion? I seem to have missed that part.
@Pogonip
Hadiya graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Women and Gender studies and Middle Eastern Studies.
With that degree, we just have to accept everything she says as being true…
It does amuse me that much of her self-care advice seems to simplify to “stop stewing in the toxic fever swamp of your ideological echo chambers”.

Heh. That.

Like so many other, eerily similar articles in Everyday Mentalism, it roughly translates as,
I’m paraphrasing, of course.

“Obesity is an incurable disease”
It’s always unfair and it’s never your fault.

I suppose we could ask the Venezuelans on the Maduro Diet, if they had phones that worked.
Noted in the Twitter thread:
The Maduro Diet.

Popping in to say Hello and suggest sending our leader your spare change.
I don’t think “obesity” per se is a disease, but the tendency to overeat may be. It does seem to fade as you age.
The guy in the flower hat. Bought a robe for my wife many years ago. Similar pattern.

This Man Has Been Living On Cruise Ships for Twenty Years.
–And this week . . .
Motorcycle of note.
Heh.
This Man Has Been Living On Cruise Ships for Twenty Years.
Well, hell, no wonder he has done it, a deal like that is hard to find outside of any Holiday Inn.
Yeah, this is worth 40 grand a year.
A problem you’ll want to have: To span or to stack?

“Obesity is an incurable disease”
I don’t know about “incurable”, but I have seen recent articles reporting that recent research indicates that a diet high in sugar can permanently alter a person’s metabolism in ways that lead to obesity: the body shifts to creating and keeping fat. I know a few obese people who have lost weight on low-carb diets but who are still rather fat. /anecdotal evidence.
