Friday Ephemera
The smell of cat foreheads, in a spray. // Cat fight. // At last, a mind-controlled car. // The anti-earthquake bed you’ve always wanted. // Tea bag rocket. // Teaching robots. // Bluetooth talking glove. // Tiny plasters for teeny boo-boos. // Best played with headphones in a darkened room. // Over the holidays I’ll be drinking a bottle or two of this. // Header table tennis is the sport of kings. // The octopus and the coconut. // He plays the pedalboard faster than you do. // “This is not a Monty Python sketch.” // It’s not about feelings and sensitivity, they just like telling you what to do. // Sexy men of the synthesizer. For certain values of sexy. // Surf the old web. // Test tube dwellings. // The weather where you are. (h/t, Dr W) // And finally, inevitably, Star Wars minus Star Wars.
Surf the old web.
That is, the “pre-porn,” “pre-performance art” web. A mixed blessing, I’d say.
Down with kids who have cancer! They suck! http://www.campusreform.org/?ID=7075
Well, lordy, Quint&Jessel, if ‘now is not the time for laughing and candy canes’, I ask you, when is?!?
Star Wars minus Star Wars.
Brilliant.
Also good: Bad lip-reading Star Wars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w8Z0UOXVaY
Sexy men of the synthesizer.
I’ll sleep well tonight.
Airlifting goats.

Best played with headphones in a darkened room.
Just downloaded the ‘Dark Echo’ game. 🙂
The anti-earthquake bed you’ve always wanted.
. . . . Of course, as this comes from the mainland Chinese, perhaps a more useful invention would be buildings that don’t just fall down?
Tea bag rocket.
Oh, interesting. A miniature version using the same physics of the much larger original.
Bluetooth talking glove.
I’m reminded of the late 20th century media star quite known for being seen wearing just one glove.
It’s not about feelings and sensitivity, they just like telling you what to do.
Actually, that is almost reminiscent of the Jehovah’s Witnesses . . .
Sexy men of the synthesizer. For certain values of sexy.
I was pretty much unsurprised to see Walter Carlos not listed, but then she’s been Wendy Carlos for over forty years . . .
Just downloaded the ‘Dark Echo’ game.
The Room and The Room 2 are also recommended. If you like creepy puzzle games.
Bad lip-reading Star Wars

More bollocks in the Guardian…

More bollocks in the Guardian…
It rarely bodes well when the chief executive of a multi-billion pound construction project is so hopelessly unrealistic and so keen to apologise for being “a white, British middle-aged man.” Somehow, I don’t foresee hundreds of thousands of women rushing to work in sewers, knee deep in excrement. But apparently this Guardian-reading clown is happy to waste time and resources on cosmetic irrelevances like gender “diversity.” And I can’t help noticing Mr Mitchell’s blind belief that such “diversity” is a self-evident good in any endeavour, including heavy industry and sewer construction, despite some striking evidence to the contrary.
“In an earthquake there’s a chance you might be buried alive!
“With one of our earthquake proof beds, you’re guaranteed to be buried alive!!”
Yet more evidence that “inappropriate” is the modern Left’s preferred euphemism for “stuff we don’t like”.
The weather where you are. That Windyty site is fascinating. Thanks for the link.

David, you might be pleased to hear The Room 3 just released recently.
you might be pleased to hear The Room 3 just released recently.
I think it’s released for Android on January 11th. Which gives me time to finish part two.
