The specific purpose, lest there be doubt, being classroom urination. Which is apparently a niche activity, a buzz of sorts. Among grown men who are entrusted to shape young minds.

As so often, action was taken, belatedly, only after footage was provided by a concerned parent. Mr Champ’s colleagues and employers being, it seems, oblivious to the rumours of similar incidents – one might say school legends – by which a great many pupils had been entertained, before searching out confirmation and circulating said evidence via Snapchat.
Mr Champ is currently “on leave.”
Is obliviousness a field of study now?
Or simply a core requirement?

I kept watching to see if that missing C# were going to cause problems.

That is, I think, broadly true, or true enough to warrant consideration. I’ve lost count of how many exchanges I’ve had over the years with progressives and outright leftists, in which they seemed something close to bewildered or scandalised by my statements of what I took to be fairly obvious stuff. As if it were inconceivable that someone might think differently to themselves, at least in social-status terms, and might even have good reasons to do so. Subsequent efforts to offer evidence or more detail did not, for the most part, meet with what I’d call interest.
Again, broadly, there is, I think, a discernible asymmetry.
Progressive ’empathy’ – or pseudo-empathy – has been discussed here before.
I wonder if a variant of this teacher exists in the corporate world, someone relieving themselves in a board room, say, just before others arrive. I am guessing not. We have seen how teachers turn their classrooms into a kingdom of personal beliefs and perversities to be forced upon their subjects, the children.
Many times. In fact, pretty much every time the subjects of schooling and academia have cropped up.

I did try to imagine some mitigating circumstance – some medical condition or bizarre lack of facilities, but the repeated nature of the, um, incident – such that it became a legend among the pupils – does rather make it difficult to see the in-class peeing as anything other than… well, odd and unsavoury.

My high school had a pair of boys and girls restrooms on each floor and a single “teachers lounge” on the first floor. But when does a teacher not have time for that short trip?
* Back in the day there were stories that an architect forgot to include bathrooms when designing a medieval style dorm for the U of C, but that seems to be an urban legend.
No tiffin to report, alas. It’s a bit rich for a staple.
