Because some things bear repeating, a few items from the archives:
I know. Cuckoldry. That’ll save the world.
With such levels of unrealism and contrivance, such practised not-noticing – say, the claim that people in general are somehow unconcerned by “whether their children are genetically theirs” – it’s not altogether clear where one might begin.
We have arrived at the assumption that a primal, root-level motivation found across species is somehow absent in human beings – for no clearly stated reason – despite all appearance to the contrary, across continents and centuries, and despite the fact that human offspring are unusually dependent and require an uncommonly prolonged and costly investment by the parents.
Presumably, we should ignore studies confirming the correlation of parental investment and physical resemblance, i.e., relatedness, and the statistical preference among adoptive parents for children who could pass for their own biological offspring. Likewise, the lower aggregate levels of investment by stepfathers, noted many times.
And I’m guessing we’ll have to ignore the entire history of human courtship, a great deal of which has been geared towards ensuring genetic relatedness – and to avoiding cuckoldry. The cuckoldry that Mr Decker claims will somehow improve the world.
Antifa’s Transgender Enforcement Wing bare their sweet little souls.
And remember, the targets in the videos above – the unimposing, the elderly, the disabled – are chosen deliberately and with glee. Because that’s who they are, these mighty warriors of the Cluster B Tendency. Malevolence is their aphrodisiac, their euphoria. It’s how they feel important. It’s how they process the buzzing noise inside their own heads.
The threat of catastrophic injury would, I suspect, be the only language such creatures are likely to heed. It’s certainly hard to imagine them being swayed by appeals to logic, reciprocation, or basic decency. I see no evidence of a better nature to which one might appeal.
I mean, once you’ve chosen to spend your afternoon menacing the elderly and disabled precisely because they’re unlikely to give you the vigorous kicking you deserve, you’re pretty much beyond any negotiation or genteel outreach project.
On racially incongruous casting and other wonders.
On the difficulties of satisfying progressive women.
The attitude implied by the above would, I think, explain many failures on the progressive partner-finding front and the consequent “stepping away from dating altogether.” Though possibly not in ways the author intended.
Before we go further, it’s perhaps worth pondering how the conceit of “emotional labour” is typically deployed by a certain type of woman. Say, the kind who complains, in print and at great length, about the “emotional labour” of hiring a servant to clean her multiple bathrooms. Or writing a shopping list. Or brushing her daughter’s hair.
The kind of woman who would moan about the chore of choosing a holiday that her husband is paying for. And for whom explaining to her husband the concept of “emotional labour” is itself bemoaned as “emotional labour.” The final indignity.
The kind of woman who bitches in tremendous detail about her husband and his shortcomings – among which, an inability to receive instructions sent via telepathy – in the pages of a national magazine, where friends and colleagues of said husband, and perhaps his own children, can read on with amusement. The kind of woman who tells the world about how hiring servants is just so “exhausting,” while professing some heroic reluctance to complain.
For those craving more, this is a pretty good place to start.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and bicker.

via Darleen: every day there’s another leftist judge who ought to be in prison.
Speaking of which, Ms Hannah Riley Fernandez.
Also via Darleen, this example of big-glasses-and-neurotic-bintery.
I’m gonna be so, so rich…
This is exactly how their “logic” works with damn near anything. Check out this BS…Mr. Marxist even asks the question while he refuses to see the answer:
They have their answers, your questions are irrelevant. They fill the gaps with word salad because that’s what they got away with in school. If they understood how closely their reasoning parallels that of religious fundamentalists (of any kind) their heads would explode. But of course that can’t happen. It would require a capacity for reason.
And in blowtorch-related news.
So, will it be banning lighters or aerosol cans?
Maybe but it’s more important to let this guy out specifically because he’s a white guy and they have visuals of him. See? Both sides! It makes perfect grist for them to continue to censor internet speech. Other people’s free speech is the root culprit.
In things that didn’t . . . wait, car chase?
There is a bright spot – ‘the media and the coroner are referring to him as a “woman”.’
She describes herself as an “abolitionist”.
I’m something of an abolitionist myself–abolition of leftism, that is.

Cannot read the article, though. The page refreshes about twice a second. Presumably because my script blocker is blocking some nasty URL. This now happens with every Yahoo link. A further reason to shun the Yahoo website.
Sister-in-law is in Barcelona. We get updates! Everything is wonderful there! We should travel to Europe! Like we haven’t been there 6-8 times already. Even once with them. I just have little to no desire to go back. Certainly no desire to fly on an airplane and deal with how miserable that has become. She and hubs go on these all-inclusive trips. Wife and I, except for the time we went with them, rent a car and drive through regular towns, granted tourist-leaning towns but we buy gas, stop at random restaurants, sometimes have lunch in the middle of nowhere, pick a hotel or B&B at random. But she is the daring and adventurous one! She and her milquetoast, nominally republican hubby. Nauseating having to hear this crap from a woman whose tastes in pretty much everything run all the way from one inside edge of the double yellow line in middle of the road to the inside edge of the other one. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s update.
Spiral.
Is it time to treat the UK’s ruling class as hostis humani generis?
Don’t you start posting links to ScienceAlert too!

What was I just saying about hostis humani generis?

Cheers for the Darlington Nurses.
Any woman who complains about “emotional labor” in relation to ordinary human interactions and obligations is Cluster B.
She can feel the weight of the demand — she knows something is expected of her — but she hasn’t the wherewithal to address it.
Nor the inclination.
Run, do not walk.
Suspension of disbelief is racist now.
I so totally voted for this.
Well, the idea that one might prioritise audience immersion and historical accuracy over “diversity” and racial stunt-casting is evidently deemed by many a problematic thing. A basis for tutting and weirdly uppity articles. The disregard for the typical audience for period and historical dramas, and the eagerness to insinuate racism on the part of said audience – as seen, for instance, in the Guardian and British Vogue – is itself quite remarkable.
But if you’re trying to immerse yourself in a period drama – events in another, quite particular time, about which things are known – it may not help to be reminded, repeatedly and in in-your-face ways, this is not how it actually was.
I mean, you might as well just have a big caption at the beginning of every episode saying, “Key aspects of these historical events have been revised, quite wildly, in order to comply with fashionable contemporary conceits, specifically those of twenty-first century London, where the middle-class-lefty production team just so happen to live.”
There’s a sense that the ostensible story, the thing putting bums on seats, is being made subordinate to a conspicuous incongruity. One that we’re not supposed to acknowledge as incongruous, except in approving or deferential terms. (Again, Guardian, British Vogue, etc.) Because the historical or period-specific story you’ve paid to see is, it seems, much less important than “reflecting our diverse, multicultural surroundings.”
And, hey, you’d never tire of that. An endless, parochial now.
And the term historical inclusivity is positively Orwellian, given that it actually means ahistorical inclusivity, which is not the same thing at all.
While noticing may be a crime to the Left, Mother Nature looks on it as a survival skill. The brightly coloured snake\octopus\frog is noticeable for a reason, so you don’t touch it accidentally and die. If you touch it on purpose? Well, it’s still performing exactly as intended.
Is it time to treat the UK’s ruling class as hostis humani generis?
No, it’s actually long past time for that. Given the absolute state of the authoritarianism in Two-tier comfort? I can’t believe it hasn’t lead to any physical altercations. But then I remember that there are still White liberals in South Africa who think everything there is hunky-dory because it hasn’t affected them…yet.
It’s always easier to type that then to do it so… commiserations UK folks. On the bright side NYC seems to be going full on commie/terrorist sympathiser in the recent elections there so everything’s great on both sides of the Atlantic.
I have a friend who adores the coach bus tours of visiting the Great Cities of Europe. She tried to convince me to go on one and I told her no way in Hell. My husband and I have the same outlook as you and your wife: some sort of itinerary, rent a car, take our time, ofetn deviate from said itinerary when something interesting pops up, look to local restaurants for meals, stop for sunsets.
By making everything the same they’re making history boring.
This. That is probably the greatest, glaring example of the danger of complacency. However complacency in general, in many other regards is destroying our civilization. Especially in the schools and workplaces.
Yes. Again, it’s so parochial, so trapped in the now. The now of a very narrow, very localised, stratum of society. And so, the historical dramas of the sixteenth century have to be filtered through the naff preoccupations of racially neurotic middle-class lefties who live in London. These are not, I would guess, the preoccupations of viewers who live in Plymouth or Chesterfield.
And the result is typically a mess of contradiction. As with the unloved race-swapped Netflix production Anne Boleyn. For which, we were told, proudly, that known history has been “reshaped,” i.e., wildly distorted to comply with progressive racial conceits. And the tagline for which declared, “You may know history, but you don’t know her story.”
Which is a little odd, given that the her in question had been dramatically altered in order to comply with the aforementioned conceits.
And that’s before we get to the bizarre historical implications of a black Anne Boleyn.
I’ll see your Anne Boleyn and raise you a gay, black, disabled Edward VI in a beer barrel wheelchair.
It is, as they say, all so tiresome.
Though I do still like the idea, mentioned in the comments following this, of the Netflix series The Crown, but with Princess Margaret being inexplicably black.
It would, I think, be funny.
Which is why, as much as a river cruise appeals to me, or an eastern Mediterranean cruise does, the meals being included and getting on and off the boat en mass does not. Plus, except for a trip in Jamaica when we were younger, the car you rent is likely to be in good shape. The one coach day-trip we took with sis-in-jaws (added: I meant sis-in-law obviously …but…) from Cortina to Venice was delayed for an hour when the bus broke down.
Meanwhile, as it is a day ending in Y…
In the Netherlands, another obligatory thing that never happens.
In Las Vegas a teacher, to everyone’s amazement, no doubt.
Admin note – I have noticed, fickle bitch that she is, the Spam-No-Mor 9000 (Ausf. G) seems to choke on Archive links.
In that regard, the other day psa314 noted a page that kept reloading, the first link above was doing that too, but appended at the end of the URL was some text to the effect of /forcereload. If that was taken off, the link worked normally, but not trusting it not to be put back when posting the clean link went to Archive. Anyone else experiencing the reloading, check the end of the URL.
We now return you to the normal broadcast day.
So much affirming it’s hard to know where to start.
Clearly, the warm-up phase. The trial run.

And in some uplifting news, pastor opens a can of whoop ass. Some of the comments have been great. “He madeth him to lie down in green pastures”, “He come from the south side of heaven”(from a black lady), “Ole boy got served the 1st and 2nd chronknuckles!”, and of course the fake and real Ezekiel 25:17 are quoted.
“I know, let’s give unstable, mentally ill women, many of whom will already have personality disorders and problems with emotional regulation, huge doses of a hormone that will irreparably damage their bodies and boost their aggressiveness. What downsides could there be?”
Thank you! That is a very good general lesson: Always check the decorations after the link part of a URL.
Profiting from the mistakes of the past?
