Women Hold Sign, Quietly, Pinocchio Gets Upset
From the comments, scenes from Smith College, Massachusetts:

It turns out that when you try to pretend away fundamental realities, as if wishing made it so, any reminder of those realities has to be repressed or erased, or at least shouted at quite loudly.
I believe this was the scene that prompted the meltdown.
Update, via the comments:
Mike D adds,
Well, it does seem to be an illustration of the fact that if you require continual, universal affirmation – i.e., deference – if you need everyone else to pretend something vividly untrue – then you’re unlikely to be happy. The best you could hope for is to surround yourself with people who are willing to lie to you.
It’s worth mentioning, I think, that the trans-identified people I’ve spoken with or seen who seem most content are the ones who can concede the reality of the situation, and who can juggle that reality with their preference to live as if they were the opposite sex, while knowing that they aren’t.
They don’t seem prone to the bedlamite outbursts seen above.
Consider this an open thread. Share ye links and bicker.
Someone’s kid is gonna need therapy.
The Church had good reason to be wary of these “beguiling unstable souls”.
It seems . . . unlikely . . . Neanderthal and Denisovian genetic material was shared through some sort of negotiated arrangement.
I’m just going to leave this here.
I think it may tell us something about the demographic in question.
It could have been worse, they could have played recorders.
Other than Jake Shimabukuro, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and a couple others, anyone playing the uke should get the Blutarsky treatment. Ditto toy pianos.
What to do with recorders is an exercise left to the student.

What about this?
Possibly the Church had good reason to burn some of them at the stake.

“Harrison Bergeron” was supposed to be a warning, not a How-To manual.
I remain unconvinced.
Jonathan is mistaken or dishonest: it’s got nothing to do with facts. If it was to do with facts, it could be dealt with by truthful journalism without any thumb on the scale. And Charlie is mistaken: Media propaganda works. We’re all living in the mythology it’s created over decades that makes English people think it’s shameful and low class to prefer their own, to want to have their own country, to be allowed to turn away uninvited aliens. If that social conditioning hadn’t been successful, then the current invasion by low IQ scum in rubber dinghies would be as ludicrous and implausible as a Monty Python sketch.
What Jonathan Pryce has in mind is a mopping-up operation. Another Adolescence, let’s say where Stephen Graham will play a white man, just like you and me, who watches Jordan Peterson clips and will-he/won’t he beat his wife. The main invader character might be a doctor who ends up saving Stephen’s son (immigrants are good for you, you stupid bigots), but equally, during the demoralizing mopping up phase, it might be an angry thug (immigrants are bad for you, and you whites have it coming).
Hold this a minute.
Perfect, just what I needed to sprinkle on my Polonium-Os!™
