Now you can dress up like Astro Boy. Or Pikachu. Oh, there’s more. // Armour made of gel. // Self-assembling magnets. // Inside the collider. // Panoramic sunset, La Silla observatory, Chile. (h/t, Coudal) // Composite image of M82. // The Commodore 64. (1988) // Transparent appliances. // Transparent fish with tubular eyes. (h/t, Metrolander) // The MP3-grenade combo. // Robots! // Five moments of cinematic superheroism. // The secret lives of comic store employees. // Imaginary numbers. // 20 grim possible endings for Battlestar Galactica. // To hell with niceness. // Saturday Morning Watchmen. // And, via The Thin Man, it’s Mr John Barry.
“Now you can dress up like Astro Boy”
You’ve made me ruin a perfectly good set of eyes. Where are the astro girls?
If you click on “portfolio” then “inflatable latex” you’ll see the ladies’ outfits are not currently displayed. However, if you poke about in the “gallery” section, you will find images taken at, er, special parties:

I should point out some of the other images are a tad racy.
Just watched Saturday Morning Watchmen. Speechless…
“Just watched Saturday Morning Watchmen. Speechless…”
It is rather special. I quite like the theme tune: “Jon can give you can-cer – or turn in-to a car!”
Someone should show it to Alan Moore. 😀
They should make ‘Saturday Morning Watchmen’ for real. I’d watch it.
I like the sushi USB.
From the superhero film list:
“Iron Man could’ve rationalized that killing terrorists only creates terrorists, wrung his hands over the reaction of the ‘Arab Street,’ waited for a United Nations resolution, argued for more diplomacy, or blamed Israel…”
Iron Man precision-blasting the terrorists is one of the best bits of the film.
James,
“Iron Man precision-blasting the terrorists is one of the best bits of the film.”
It is pretty good. And it was interesting to see how different audiences reacted to it, depending on their politics. I heard one reviewer saying it made him “uncomfortable” because it was “wish-fulfillment” and “pandered to the war on terror” etc. Apparently, he was “uncomfortable” seeing manifestly evil people being stopped forcibly. I thought it was quite an uplifting scene. Improbable, yes, but morally agreeable.
The grown man dressed as pikachu is a bit… disturbing.
But the grown man dressed as a half naked robot child isn’t?
It’s the way the huge inflatable head twitches. That, and the unblinking eyes.
Star Trek trailer.

The new Trek trailer looks a little more promising than the first one. Though I still think it should be called “Star Trek 90210.” Or “Dawson’s Trek” or something.
David, are you reviewing Watchmen? I’m seeing it on Wednesday.
I’ve written a short(ish) review for the Eye magazine blog. I’ll post a link to it when it materialises, probably tomorrow.
Just imagine Ronald D. Moores’ Star Trek instead.
Scene 1. Entire crew dies, Earth annihilated, UFP decimated. etc.
