“Dress and shoes by Edward Snowden.”
Also, Marsh.
“Dress and shoes by Edward Snowden.”
Given the Guardianista tendency to shoehorn politics into every conceivable crevice, I suppose these things will happen.
Also, Marsh.
The correction has subsequently been corrected. We await further developments.
And Bradley Manning is now Chelsea Manning. It’s so confusing.
The article was amended on 3 Marsh?
And I thought I was Knig of the typos.
I still think Nelson Mandela should have been given a lifetime achievement award for his roles in Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, and Bruce Almighty.
“The original stated that Bradley Manning took Ellen’s selfie. In fact, it was Bradley Cooper.”
Then it’s not a selfie, is it? Unlesss Cooper took it away from her somehow.
Just noting the complete incoherence of the statement.
Heh.
And, if Morgan Freeman had a son he’d look like Barack Samuel Fishburne.
“The original stated that Bradley Manning took Ellen’s selfie. In fact, it was Bradley Cooper.”
Then it’s not a selfie, is it? Unlesss Cooper took it away from her somehow.
Nope, that is at least a . . . basically . . . correct statement—notes this viewer. The actual circumstance was that Ellen decided to take a shot of her and Meryl Streep, to then crash twitter—err, get the greatest number of retweets. But instead of just the two, rather a number of others joined in—including Manning—err, Cooper, with the original two in the center. At that point, the cell phone lens couldn’t pick up all of the people, so the phone had to be held further out from the clump of bodies, and at that point, Ellen ran out of arm length. She then handed off to Cooper, with his longer arms, to push the button for the picture being taken of him and everyone else, using Ellen’s phone, so in fact, Cooper did actually push the button on his and Ellen’s shot . . . .
“Peak Guardian”:
I’m sure that hydraulic fracturing will enable the Left to extract idiocy for decades to come.
“At one point Samsung was getting about 900 mentions a minute on social media, according to Kontera, a company that tracks content on social media sites.”

Someone in marketing is looking at a bonus this year, then. And they do make some very nice phones.

Nik,

Blimey. What an obnoxious, anhedonic little tit this Brian Logan is. He inadvertently captures the feel of the Guardian and the nasty taste it leaves. Logan’s argument, such as it is, is basically that Mr Whitehall should feel guilty, and look guilty, about his relatively posh or middle-class upbringing – a detail over which he had no control. And this from Mr Logan, whose own background involves theatre companies, theatre criticism and writing for the Guardian, none of which exactly screams “authentic proletarian.”
I did laugh, though, at one of Whitehall’s jokes (and at which our earnest Guardianista tuts disapprovingly): “Not all of the cabinet are that posh: Michael Gove’s actually from quite a rough background. He’s only been skiing, like, twice.” But it’s good to know that posh people simply aren’t allowed to be funny without first subjecting themselves to angry, Marxoid self-critique, followed by lengthy and public atonement for having parents who did well in life.

So what does Brian Logan make of Peter Cook, Stephen Fry and the Monty Python people?
So what does Brian Logan make of Peter Cook, Stephen Fry and the Monty Python people?
I very much doubt Mr Logan is concerned with coherence or realism or whether a thing is actually funny. What he wants, I think, is purity. The Church of Social Justice™ must come first.
And speaking of purity:
Yes, those damn cracker belly dancers are at it again.

Perhaps I should save both myself and the Graun mods some effort, and send a post in saying

I care, you see. I don’t want those moderators getting repetitive strain injury from the well-practiced pressing of the delete button.
